      After DNA centrifugation based on density , these satellites form a separate band because they are less dense due to being AT_rich and give a separate band from the main band . So they're named SATELLITES .

    Hi just found your channel and really liking your videos for revisiting my concepts. I have two basic questions if you happen to have some time - apart from the forensic significance that we obviously discovered later what would be the role of these satellites in say an organism( an evolutionary advantage) and second why are these prone to replication slippage, is that something to do with them being AT rich?
