Love how Kory doesn't push too hard with the horses..always lets them know they've done well..his gentle demeanor and voice goes hand in hand with his treatment of the horses..reminds me of my dad..who was a very masculine guy but was quietly spoken and gentle..just like the lovely Kory..

Kory is my favourite person to watch on your channel. I love his approach with horses, so calm yet confident. Truly the natural horsemanship.
Absolutely love watching Kory work! This is humane training. Would love to see a video on training with draft horses, teaching them to pick up their feet and such
One of the best horses we ever had was a BLK mustang out of the Burns capture. He had a special gentle nature to him but never took to a saddle. We had several trainers fail so just stuck with bareback. He ended his wonderful life at 26.
You should think about getting Spirit when he is put up for adoption

The zebra markings indicates that he is of Spanish origin, making him an elite mustang, a true mustang.

That mustang is gorgeous! I love the stripes on his knees, his markings are superb. I wish I could have a horse-I pray whoever gets him treats him well.
That Copper horse is wonderful. Well put together and bright. I think he’s a Saddlebred cross. Reminds me of a National Show Horse I used to ride (Saddlebred/Arab cross). She was like this. Curious, alert, looking out at everything and smart. They’re often misjudged as hyper.
I was thinking Saddlebred too. The build, those ears, his eyes and facial expressions just ring Saddlebred! Yes, even a cross too!
I wonder if Mouse has been Shadowfoot's seeing eye horse as that cataract got worse? That probably makes the separation more nerve-wracking for her. Mouse seemed ok alone, but Shadow kept coming back up to her. Hopefully more work and time will get them ok.
No but they were pasture mates and adjoining pastures mouse came from Stroud in Shadow foot had been ran through 2 auctions before I picked her up she was skinny and sick I called the number on the coggins and learned that she had been with an older gelding and her baby for 8 years so I do believe this is where her separation anxiety comes from

Spirit is amazing!! If I was 25 yrs. younger, I'd LOVE to adopt him, but at 67, it would not be fair to him. I have a 22 yr. old Tennessee Walker that is still going strong though so he keeps me busy! Love the patient calm way Kory trains.

Kory, I've found in my 50+ years of working with all breeds of horses, is that, "The last thing they learn, is the first thing they remember", if done correctly. Another awesome episode! Thank you Kory for talking about how to hold the lead rope. I see so many people have them looped so that if the horse pulls, for whatever reason, they're going to get caught in it and get injured bad. Great information.

He will be a quick study. He looks ready and willing to learn.
Spirit looks like a Kiger Mustang from Oregon. Very distinct bloodlines.....Spanish if I remember right! There are CZcams videos on the Kiger so take a look and see if you agree! DNA would probably confirm. Very respected breed.....if he is Kiger he is worth quite a bit more than other Mustangs!
They said in an earlier video that he was gathered in Utah, so he wouldn’t be a Kiger. They are from Oregon. The zebra stripes aren’t unique to Kigers.
@@janinecarson8380 I was only mentioning that he sure looks like Kiger. When he was surrendered did the fellow show the adoption paperwork to prove where he came from? If the shelter wants to they can do DNA. I would.
I agree that he looks like a kiger mustang. It’s the coloring, stripes and black/blond mane.
I know dun isn’t restricted to kigers but it’s a huge coincidence that Spirit has all the other classic traits. Previous owner might have been wrong, or, maybe Spirit made his way somehow to a Utah BLM facility from Oregon.
Or maybe he’s just a regular mustang with Kiger qualities.
@@guy8646 HE should be able Tobe traced by his tattoo number......he is so classy with good conformation and as you say he has strong Kiger traits!
@@donnac.1609 Would you make any association with Kiger if not for the coloring? Not all Kigers have the dun with stripes and many other non-Kigers do. He is a classy looker all right but so are many other mustangs. Would DNA testing currently available narrow it down to a specific mustang herd? Doubtful.

Spirit might be a Kieger mustang because he has stripes on his legs. There is an actual registry for the Kiegers🍀
I would love to hear abut Spirit the Mustang's DNA. Those leg stripes! like the Przewalski mixed with Quagga.

The draft with only half his hoof, is it possible to fit him with a silicone molded hoof, until his own grows out? I certainly hope so, for his sake! Thank you for all you do in trying to return all those you rescue back to optimal health. You all truly define the meaning

That mustang at the end is the dreamiest, prettiest horse I’ve seen in a long time. I’ve lived in Kentucky surrounded by horses for the last 15 years and not one has taken my breath away like that mustang did. His adopter is going to hit the jackpot of horses.

I try to donate a little bit here and there. Its not much, but it makes me feel good and at least it will give some treats to the horses. What you do i wish upon every country to have. You are angels. Living far away, but that doesn't matter, a horse is a horse wherever they live and need help. Bless you guys.
I think anyone BUT Corey wouldn’t have gotten have that far with the buckskin mustang- Spirit !! What a smart big strong beautiful horse he is !!! Man I’d probably have over 100 horses if I could have all the ones I wanted !! But this one is truly going to be remarkable!!!! Great job Corey ! I love watching you work the horses !!! ❤️🐴❤️

I love the training demostrations - this ought to be so helpful for people who are having trouble educating their horses maybe if they can learn from watching these training sessions they can do it themselves and do not need to give up on their horses or send them to slaughter.
Agree. Or at least realize they’re in over their head and need to hire a trainer. It looks like Spirit was well taken care of but they had no idea how to train him. Bless them thought for being willing to surrender him.

I had a buckskin, my stud, he was also a Welsh saddle horse and a sorrel quarter horse gelding. So buckskins, red's and Appaloosas are my favorites! Oh! I had an appaloosa stud too 🥰 I miss them all 😭💔.
That Buckskin Mustang has Spanish blood in him. That puts him into the elite Mustang, a true mustang, not just a so called feral horse. I'd love to see what the other two look like.

I've never seen a horse learn faster or more willingly than a mustang. I've also never seen a horse more hare-brained and unpredictable than a mustang. However, for the latter, it was only one mustang, and she was completely unlike any other I've worked with, until I found the perfect adopter for her and she settled down entirely. Turned out she was hyper-reactive to being around other horses. Incidentally, good note on how to hold the lead rope... I've seen even long-term handlers loop the lead rope around their hand instead of sidewinding it.
