- Medi-1 are trauma trained medics which include, advanced orthopaedic trauma management, advanced airway management and full paramedic skill sets available. Their trauma medics are HCPC registered and have an extensive skill set within the NHS combining years from trauma and NHS with over 50 years experience. They can also offer extensive fire fighting abilities including CAFS (compressed air foam systems ) for a rapid knockdown, this extends to over 40 years combined service from active firefighters with a vast knowledge of fire fighting at all levels and ranks.
They are a truly skilled unit consisting of both military and civil service, providing the necessary skills needed to be able to remedy emergency situations when public services are not available or cannot reach the incident.
Ideal for search and rescue, festivals, private events, relief work and any other medical related scenario.
Medi-1 and Peek Drones partner to provide drone aerial and thermography search& rescue when needed, deploying drones to reach places humans cannot go or to send the drone in before humans, when it is too dangerous for people to go first, for example immediately after an earthquake.

Here in Edinburgh Medic 1 is the call sign for the vehicle that takes the doctors and nurses from the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary's A&E department. When ever there's an incident requiring specialist medical assistance.

So, instead of simplyfying and immediately sending an ambulance vehicle, you first send a motor bike, then a car, and finally then a proper ambulance? Makes sense.
An event service has limited resources, the quad bike probably had a suitible trained responder driving it as the situation may be not so serious as first appeared then as the situation evolved they realised they needed more resorses and the Ambo was a last resort as there may only be one on site at the event and you don't want to occupy on a less serious call.
BTW I have worked in event medicine so that's accurate to what most companies including mine would respond to this emergency

luke barber it is a foil blanket which keeps in the body’s heat and is wind and water proof. It’s a survival piece of equipment used by paramedics and hikers and campers
