    Bonjour! Thank you for an excellent video! We are looking for a moderate summer climate area, with a plaza lifestyle, and near good healthcare (my wife has MS and is a cancer survivor). We walk, and ride, so public transportation is required. I am a retired American educator. We helped a new school open in Lviv, then spent 6 weeks in Krakow; we're in Tallinn for a month before heading back to Oregon. My wife and I hope to visit France after the Olympics. We plan to sell our Portland condo and then move to France. We will rent so we can travel throughout Europe, and perhaps help Ukraine rebuild after the war ends. There are several significant advantages to living in France: climate, healthcare, culture, and infrastructure. Merci!! Dean and Cindy.

    Yours is the best video I’ve ever seen on a CZcams! You state your purpose and deliver all I wanted to know and much more. I have an EU passport and still was wary of making the move. My greatest fear was social isolation. You even addressed that concern. Thanks so much!

    I love Adrian. I especially love when I watch all her videos & she say, “We are pretty much soup to nuts.” Love that phrasing.

    Thanks for all of the info! I’d love to move to France (I spent a year there when I was younger). I’m wondering if there’s an age after which one cannot retire there. I’m almost 81. i would like to visit and begin the process in May if there’s no age restriction. Thank you.

    Thank you for the info! I have a military pension, but imagine it’s not enough, so technically would want to try working for extra income. Guess I can’t, unless I move on a work visa from what I understand.

    Bonjour! I'm curious, Adrian always talks about if you're making $3,000 to $5,000 monthly, you can live so well in France. Some of us "regular folk", who will retire with a low $1500 monthly Social Security from the US, would also like to live in France and in an affordable area. We realize it would be in a small country village somewhere with very inexpensive housing, etc. we would also like to find ways to make some extra income above or under the table. Would you also please speak to us. Merci

    Excellent webinar. So informative! Does anyone know of a counterpart to Adrian for living in Italy? We are drawn to Italy and wondering if there is a similar consultation service for expats living in Italy?

    • @camiller4916
      @camiller4916 Před měsícem

      International Living offers info on Italy. They have resources but not sure if they are comprehensive, maybe just a list of vetted people and agencies.

    Hello! Is this only for retirees the program? What about people who want to have a work authorization

  • @GraceGonzalezMelbourne

    I am not sure about things right now, will a consultation to figure out my options cost 2000 dollars? what are the options in terms of consultation?

    Bonjour, What are the french taxes based on? If we have passive income now, do we claim that as a person living in france? Also, can we keep our health insurance or do we get health insurance in france?

    • @camiller4916
      @camiller4916 Před měsícem

      She said after 3 months, you can apply for the health insurance and they cover at 70%, then you can top up with another program to cover the rest, at about 100-150$/mo

    Bonjour!
    I want to be a volunteer English teacher in France.
    I am a retired English high school teacher, college professor, and university supervisor for student teachers.
    My wife Cindy and I plan on moving to France with the Long Stay Visa. We were in Ukraine last year helping a new school open in Lviv; I was Deputy Head Master. Slava Ukraine!
    We want to contribute in some way during our stay in France. What schools would you recommend?
    Merci!
    Dean & Cindy

    i have a main question for you that doesn’t to seems
    be address. BANKING in france, to open a bank account is impossible, you need to have an electric bill to show your residence, my landlord always pays the electricity therefore i was never been able to open bank account, they don’t want to mess around with the dollar due to facta, Obama bill that pass few years back..

    LISTEN TO ADRIAN 100%. Stick with her all the way. Stick with her professionals. The immigration lawyer, her recommendations on people she or the lawyer recommends. Never trust these people all round the country who offer their services especially through a real estate agent . The real estate agent will only recommend because they get a cut from the person they recommend to help you & believe you me the essential things like Carte Vitale & Visas are just dragged on and done unprofessionally with little knowledge of requirements & things are asked for in dribs & drabs which delays the process. This we found out is to drag their contract to obtaining another contract . Very dubious & unethical & costs 8000.00 euros or more a year with important services not provided in time which gets very stressful. Make sure you get an itemised cost list for the services to be provided. Anything that costs over 500 euros has to come with a proper written quote I am told otherwise it’s not legal. Do not trust these sharks that are around especially in smaller towns & villages. They pretend to be your friend but are only serving one purpose & that is to live their own pockets. These people are not your friends.
