    Hi, I've included the link to the other video in the description, as well as as the website which has a finished photo of this bridge in the la la falls bridge section. The website has plenty more bridges and other stonework.

    Nice work on the stone and the form.. I would have been reluctant to remove the form until I had completed the bridge. To load it with more weight

      @ngairecampbell  Před 5 lety

      Yeah, this was our first go at an arch bridge. Removed the form work out too early. The next ones we did we finished the stone work before removing the form. Makes sense to have more weight

    Hello,
    Thanks for your comments!
    We didn't use any plastering or cement, just built the bridge up with more stone and gravelled on top. The bridge is still holding strong, even with machinery going over the top. The form of an arch is so strong, it doesn't require any further support. Our other video (double dry stone arch bridge) shows a better constructed bridge and more of how a dry stone arch is built, from start to finish. Good luck!!

    That is very impressive! Very talented. But just one question. I know I don't know anything about masonry, or that type of brickwork but....building such a beautiful thing like that, what is the purpose of it? Just for the sake of beauty? Then it's very nice! What happens in heavy rains, when that little "brook" becomes a river? I know what happens then.

      There are dry stacked stone bridges that are still standing after 2000 years, so I imagine it will be there a while.

    how do they do that no one can do that work it is going to be hard for people but the most important thing is that the building is hard for the bulders.....

    All these foamy comments. Damn, you can't walk across it without slipping and falling. The job isn't done. Pretty is nice and in this case, if you will finish it, functional.
