    Thank you for not prolonging the video and getting right to what we came for! I'm experiencing issues with my Volvo, as I was parked after starting the car it just cut off on me. After sitting there in confusion for a while I decided to start the car again, then able to reverse out of my parking spot on and it shutting off on me again. My mechanic came and diagnosed it as it being the fuel pump. Replaced that and the car still isn't starting and now he's saying it's my timing belt. Any part I've bought on my own and he hasn't overcharged me for anything if you're thinking of that. These symptoms do match what I've been dealing with, I hope changing this works; I NEED MY CAR!

    Doesn't a cracked head have the same symptoms as a bad timing belt or chain? How can you tell the difference between the two? I have a 94 suburban, I'm going to have it looked at this weekend, but the engine has lower performance, it runs rough and chokes out. But it doesn't have any coolant in the oil nor does it have any white smoke coming out the tailpipe. I was told it's a bad head but all of the symptoms match up nearly perfectly with a bad timing chain. How can you tell the difference for sure?

    Hello! I have a question, please give me advice. I have an old suzuki swift from 2001 (a 1.3 liter gasoline engine, with Single injector). At highway speed (above 100 km/h) it starts to vibrate and feels like there is no power plus jerks when pressing down on the accelarator. The weird thing is when the car is not in gear you can rev the engine, there is no hesitation and it’s not always having this issue. The mechainc checked it and he couldn’t replicate the symptoms at city driving. What can be the reason? At startup there is no problem just a quite bad grinding noise that goes away driving it a bit and only when the engine got fully cooled. When the 4th rod bearing was scoared it didn’t have the issue and could go even with 140km/h but not all rod bearings were replaced this happens. I changed the oil several time and try and injector cleaner too… thank you in advance! :)

      I would err on the side of caution and say it hasn't been replaced. Amazing driving experience :-)
    But there is no streaker saying when the timing belt changed last time. How can i know that.
    And should I change transmission fluid?

      There is a rubber cap, size of a penny, on the timing belt cover. I opened that and but unable to see timing belt
      Also yesterday I got check engine light, P0138, nothing serious, just about O2 sensor
      And I love the driving experience of this car :-)

    can squeaking sound be a symptom as well ?

    • @easyautofix
      @easyautofix  Před 5 měsíci

      Yes, a squeaking noise can sometimes be associated with a timing belt issue, but it's more commonly related to other belts in the car, like the serpentine belt or accessory drive belts. Here is a video on it. czcams.com/video/iINHy-gCOZY/video.html&ab_channel=EasyAutoFix
