@@timsloan9675they simply weren’t as dominant as E8 and other teams coming out of PSQ and CC. A lot of that is due to relearning chemistry. But they showed up in the end when it mattered. Like I said, very high ceiling. They just have a long way to go. Hoping to see good things from them

Isn't that a little "unfairly" balanced seeding? The winners of Lan goes against the 6th, 7th, and 12 (so the best team from LAN and they only have to worry about squads that finished 5 ranks below them), The runners up face 5th, 8th, and 11th (so their best opponents are 3 ranks below them) but the 3rd place team from LAN also has the next best team with them in group C; I'm guessing there's a decent reason but why isn't the seeding done linearly? Such as:
A B C
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
10 11 12
This just seems to make more sense to me, and it makes the seeding
Why would they punish teams for doing better. The idea is winning gives you a small advantage next split to make qualifying easier for split 2
@@Jdrunnin Why would the team that just won need an advantage? Doesn't them winning mean they're one of, if not, the best teams? How is it competitive if you give the best team an advantage?
@@pars1eyf1akes12 keep in mind they are also going to be fighting another group at all times so in any given lobby the will have either the second or 3rd seed.
its also the same seeding method used to create every single bracket ever so get mad at that aswell
@@aieres3009 It's not a matter of mad, I understand that things are often a certain way for a good reason; I was just curious at the reasoning for, what appears to me, to be an advantage given to the winner (seems to kind of undermine the competitive integrity)
Good point about it always being two groups in the lobby though, I haven't considered that and it's implications yet (it may shed some light on it)

integrity, the alternative would be doing it randomly where a good team can perform worse because of rng. This could be a bad team qualifying for Lan over a good team
Also, consider if you did it like

Teams 2 and 3 would then benefit, and the winner would be "punished" for doing good
It's pretty much a way to reward a teams good performance as well as a way to create seeding for next season.
It's not that the team that won needs an advantage. It's that if you don't give them the advantage someone else gets it
