I saw it on Friday, and it's really wonderful! The new book through me for a bit of a loop, but the music is classic Rodgers and Hammerstein, the magic in the show is nothing short of spectacular (the costume changes are ridiculous!), and Laura Osnes is utter perfection. The entire cast is just delightful! I highly recommend it for everyone of any age!

Go and see the version at Hope Mill theatre Manchester if you can get tickets. It is a wonderful magical evening. I was in awe of the actors and whole production people❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Just FYI to roggie hairy Arm from 1 year ago -- the original was not with Leslie Anne Warren (in her debut role) and Stuart Damon -- that was the remake in the 1960s. The original was Julie Andrews and Jon Cypher in 1957. You can see both of them on CZcams.
+Anjuli McDonald I actually think the original Julie Andrews version is better than with Lesley Ann Warren and Brandy combined.

This looks amazing but I understand the book was rewritten, yet again, and I wonder how it compares to Hammerstein's original gentle approach. I was a child of five when I saw the telecast in 1957 starring Julie Andrews and it still remains a vivid memory for me. It helps too that it was finally released on DVD.
I liked this version but the original with Julie Andrews is better. I was five when I saw Brandy play Cinderella
I can't decide whether I should see this or Matilda! It's the hardest decision I've ever had to make.
