In this show, the audience was not allowed to move from their seats:
The restrictions imposed by the Covid also did not allow them to shout or sing.
Only clapping was allowed.
@@Killermcknight Nevertheless, I would choose being at a LOVEBITES show, even with restrictions, over any other band ON EARTH with no restrictions. Though I hope to see them LIVE without restrictions and with at least a "meet & greet" if not TAKE THEM ALL OUT TO DINNER!
@@Killermcknight True, but Japan at the time still had insane infection numbers as a result of one of the worst covid responses of any first world country. So the regulations were understandable. And for bands it was the choice of either do it like this, or do it like Band-Maid with their online concerts without any fans, or don't do it at all.
@@Killermcknight Not really. What stinks is: not having the show at all.
So many great Band from Japan, I think that they take a lead, and for me is Lovebites Pure Gold and the best Band I have ever known, and I am an old heavy music guy who have heard the most of it, from the sixties and till now, Lovebites for ever 💥💕 👍 to you and the channel from Denmark

This concert took place on March 26, 2021. At the beginning of 2021, a new wave of Covid-19 began in Japan. The Japanese government declared a state of emergency. The concert tour of LOVEBITES was rescheduled to March - April 2021 and took place in compliance with anti-COVID security measures: the hall was 50% full (many people who wanted to get to the concert could not buy tickets), social distance between viewers, all spectators in masks, the audience it is forbidden to loudly express one's emotions (shouting), only applause is allowed, etc. LOVEBITES risked their health during a concert that lasted 2 hours! Unlike the audience, they were not wearing masks. In addition, Miyako (brunette, guitars) was 4-5 months pregnant. In August 2021, she gave birth to a baby. These ladies are professionals of the highest level! It was a Great concert 🔥!
This is so that you understand in what conditions the concert took place and why the audience behaved outwardly calmly.
Been listening to this fantastic band for almost four years now. As far as Metal music goes: the best years of my life.
Listen to thrash my whole life; all male bands. 1st time I heard this, my reaction: WTF. I was so upset that I never thought women could do thrash just as good, and in Lovebites case, BETTER. They are the Champs of heavy metal as far as I'm concerned. B-M is the best hard rock there is, Nemophila is easily becoming the best prog metal band, and LOVEBITES is the best heavy metal band period. Life couldn't be any better...until they announce their new bassist of course! I feel very comfortable saying Midori (blonde) and Miyako (dark-haired) are the best lead duo in all music genres (IMHO). Some songs to react to that prove my point:
- Break the wall live
- Signs of Deliverance live
- Winds of Transylvania live
- Scream for Me live
- Shadowmaker MV
- When Destinies Align MV
- Glory to the World MV
Watch those and tell me who's better than M&M??!! And we're not even touching their masterpieces yet!! 😀 🐺🦊
Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila - I am with you 100%. Want to add ASTERISM (with the great HAL-CA) and at least a dozen Japanese Bands to the list. And don‘t forget the Queens of Classic Rock - NO they are not from Japan, it‘s the 3 sisters Band „The Warning“ from Mexico.
@@dg3258 Well, good question. They combine various elements of heavy metal and metalcore, but I think they are just reminiscent of modern metal in general, including the harsh vocals they like to employ at times. There is some genre-blending, but not really to a crazy extent imo and I wouldn't call their actual music progressive. Their early stuff in particular is fairly simplistic. But they are a bit hard to classify I guess.
@@cepho8349 yeah, and I don't know all the new genres...Nu Metal, metal core, etc. I know thrash, power, speed. Even death / black metal is blurred for me. I consider Venom thrash but saw someone comment they're black metal. Who knows, lol.
It was a Covid crowd, they were standing in rows which were separated..
LOVEBITES the only wonderful goddesses of metal ❤🤘🐺
Thanks for the reaction! LOVEBITES are the GODDESSES of heavy , power , thrash metal ! In 2018 , LOVEBITES won the prestigious Metal Hammer GOLDEN GODS Award for "Best New Band" (London,UK). The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians, such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list).
LOVEBITES is a Japanese female power metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass, backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in both Donington (UK) and Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts.
LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! For 5 years they have recorded about 50 songs and all the songs are very good!
🐺Miho - bass, backing vocals (in August 2021 she left the band).
🐺Haruna - drums.
🐺Midori - guitars, backing vocals.
🐺Miyako (Mi-Ya)- guitars, piano, keyboards, backing vocals.
🐺Asami - lead vocals, piano.
🐺Miho started playing bass in high school. Great bass player! The fact that such a wonderful band appeared is, first of all, the merit of Miho. She came up with the idea of starting a band and what kind of music the band would play, a combination of power metal and "old school" heavy metal. Miho was able to find and unite all these talented ladies in LOVEBITES.
🐺Haruna has played drums since she was thirteen years old, and began writing songs on a keyboard at fourteen.
Haruna is the smallest (4 '9 ") , but appearances are deceiving. When Haruna sits down at the drums, this is the "little BIG Engine." She is one of the best drummers in Japan.
🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, "Crazy Shredder". She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar.
Graduated from ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka , GIT-DX department (superfast guitar department). ESP / MI JAPAN Osaka is an international music school , headquartered in Hollywood, California, USA.
🐺Miyako (black hair) has been playing the piano since the age of three, received a classical education (piano) and wanted to pursue a career as a pianist. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote over 50% of the music.
* In terms of teamwork , synchronization and harmonization of guitars , Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊
🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study jazz and hip hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs.
All songs LOVEBITES are written in English. Unlike other metal bands, LOVEBITES are always on stage in white dresses . White dresses are their style. The Wolf is the mascot of LOVEBITES and is featured on all band's albums except the first EP "The Lovebites". The band's fans call themselves the 🐺Wolfpack🐺
Yes,good music in Japan. Right now, more than 600 bands in Japan, that"s crazy. LB is my number one band, crazy how good these ladies are. I"ve seen a lot of bands in the last 35 years but this band is something else, the best band ever. Thanks for reaction
Looking forward to following your LOVEBITES journey, more please. 🤘🐺🤘
convert was in march 2021, killer performance. but crowd was covid restricted (sit and clap only). and miyako (with the dean) was at the end of the second trimester of her pregnancy here. in august 2021 she became mother of a healthy baby.
LOVEBITES - Set The World On Fire lyrics:
The blue moon colors the blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and a fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell
Distorted madness is sneering
Incompetent, cowardly fools
A pitiful and painful punishment
It’s you who will be sacrificed
ON FIRE
Dressed in an armor of steel
ON FIRE
If I’m burned again and again
I’ll rise up from the Gates of Hell
The blue moon colors blaze
Stabbing myself with the thunder
The predetermined imitation
An emotionless and fearless smile
Flowing blood and crimson blade
Devastated resolution
Heat haze is waving far away
Who’s going to be sacrificed?
ON FIRE
Just like a falling flower
ON FIRE
Until this body rots away
Burning down to the Gates of Hell

"The superstar of the band..." ? I love Miyako as much as anyone, but honestly, what make Lovebites so special is that any one of them would be the superstar of any normal band. I don't think there has been a concentration of talent like this in one band since Cream. Thanks for coming back to them!
Agree! Each individual member is an all-star at what they do. Top notch in their field. As a whole they can't be beat.
All genres of rock are safe in the hands of the Japanese. The baton has been handed on to them and they taken it to another level.
Yep you nailed it, Lovebites just does it better!🤘🐺🤘
Metal's finest 🐺🤘
Love bites always at my top list 💥💥
LOVEBITES 🐺 INCREDIBLE
The Lady's were lucky, the Japanese government almost pulled the plug on this event, the crowd had to follow strict guidelines, social distancing, masks & no cheering / screaming. Miyako was 4 months pregnant at this show.....talk about early childhood music education ! ❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎👌 Try, " Break the Wall, " live.
Dude!! Welcome back to Lovebites. They were seated due to covid constraints. So many more songs to see.. Go for it, we are waiting..
Take a look at Hagane with Super villan MV and Aldious with Dominator live Two more amazing Japanese all female bands..
Miho Miho Miho! soon to be Fami Fami Fami!
Here for my daily Lovebites fix 🐺
Best band on the planet.
I like all girl rock band from jpn, Lovebites,Aldious,Nemophila, MarryBlood,
My Metal Goddesses!! Another brutal thrash track from them is "Break the Wall" - czcams.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/video.html 🤘🐺🤘
Beware of Dean shredding females that are 4 months pregnant
I loved the reaction! It's authentic. I had fun together. More Lovebites! 🎸🎸🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
Welcome to lovebites
A Japanese band you should check out is Crossfaith "Monolith" would be a good starting place. Theres an oficial vid or the live at download version is good too.
yes. they're too good to deny. hail to lagendary.. Lovebites. 🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍🔥🔥
It was a small crowd because of the pandemic. Only a certain number of people were allowed and they had to follow the spacing rule. Japan severely enforced government rules. Lovebites I currently on hiatus as they're looking for a new bass player.
band maid is onl;y for those who like pop rock and nemophila is for those who like the screaming style metal but Lovebites is the ultimate and the real deal
The crowd is covid restricted to only applause. Lovebites is my favorite band of Metal Goddesses, but Band Maid is Not pop rock..Theyre a hard rock band, that borders punk, and even metal occasionally. Nemophila (also number 1, for different reasons) can't be defined by genre, and the "scream" vocals are Not the definition of Mayus abilities !.. she is an amazing vocalist that can scream..
@@L.A55 Band Maid is just as much Pop Rock as anything else they do. Just embrace it dude
@@L.A55 yes they are pop rock you sheeple just don’t know the difference anymore you like what you’re being fed period
I don’t care how many bands there are in Japan. I don’t care how good they are. None of them are in the same league as Lovebites. I’ll go further, there never has been a band this good. Ever. Strongly urge you to react to their song Epilogue, it’ll open your eyes and ears. czcams.com/video/JIAJYBuuKGM/video.html
There never has been a band this good? Lovebites are CURRENTLY one of the best bands on the planet. As you may recall, my vote is for Band-Maid. There are many who would say Nightwish or Tool are better. To say that Lovebites, or Band-Maid for that matter, is better than The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rush, or many others is quite silly.
@@daveminers3404 Maybe he meant just in Japan. Lovebites is as good as the legendary metal bands.
@@ChadTheDragonLord I meant what I said. Maybe others have difficulty understanding what I mean by “good”. They are confusing it with “great”. The bands he mentioned are only given the status they have because of their longevity. All those bands were talented, but all had their flaws. All released mediocre songs on many occasions. But Lovebites are relentlessly consistent. So however “great” these bands may have been, Lovebites is more consistent, more technically proficient (I’ll give Rush equal credit on that particular metric) and, crucially, more engaging as human beings than any of the bands mentioned. It’s all a matter of scale. Lovebites aren’t as “big”, but “big” doesn’t mean “good”. I chose my words carefully. As for Led Zeppelin, good as they were, I happen to think they are one of the most over rated bands in history. They have achieved a status that their catalogue simply doesn’t justify. I could give you chapter and verse on the Beatles but no doubt Dave would think me “silly”. I’ll say just one thing about the Beatles. Paul McCartney was replaced in 1966. Silly? Do the research I have done and you can only come to the same conclusion. If you don’t, it’s called “cognitive dissonance”.
@@ChadTheDragonLord Maybe. People sometimes confuse their favorite band with being the best.
@@daveminers3404 Hard disagree on Band-Maid. I really don't get the hype. I enjoy a good chunk of their music, but there are several bands I would put ahead of them in Japan alone. But I agree that fans of all these bands should take it a bit easy. Hyping them into oblivion only puts pressure on them and I don't want the fandoms to turn toxic.
👍👍👍
Lovebites, setting the world on fire since 2016. Some people say that rock is not dead, it just moved to Japan. Yes, those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years.
Rock is dead in the U.S. but it's been going all along in Japan and Europe. Utube just brings it to more people (especially US)
duh yes!
The show was given mid-pandemic and after being postponed numerous times due to Covid. And it was finally held under the heaviest restrictions. Audience were only allowed to stand and applaude, being practically muffled. Plus the overall extended distances between stage and spectators and spectators themselves. Such a shame for a really great overall performance by the group.
COIVD-19 restrictions. No yelling and Jumping around.

The answer to your question is in the title.
There was not much the crowd could do.
It was Covid time....
There's nothing like Lovebites out there currently, and at least equal to the greatest bands I've ever listened to in the past 50+ years.
You can't blame the audience. They had to stay in their seats, with masks, no shouting, no screaming, just clap their hands under China virus restriction. It was in march 2021 in Tokyo. Misa is the guitarist of Bandmaid BTW.
@@kent-oveprestberg3578 Lol, isn't it a shame! But can I still say Bass "guitar"? An additional shame. lol
Kent, I remember a Japanese expression fits to this case. I appreciate your "bushi no nasake" which means a mercy of a warrior. "bushi" means a warrior or a samurai, and "nasake" means mercy. A warrior doesn't whip the looser. It's an old expression but we still use it regularly today.
This concert was during the pandemic so the audience was under severe restrictions - no yelling, shouting, or cheering, all masked, all 6ft apart, etc. If you see their older concerts the audience gets into it and Asami directs them to yell and sing along quite often.
Hell Yea 🤘 Love this song and I love these ladies as well. Best in the business. If your looking another Japanese metal band thats alittle newer and on the rise you should check out the band Hagane with their song "BlackCult" link czcams.com/video/LCheI6-MWhY/video.html
i don't like either. unless those are ejector seats
PLEASE DO NOT TURN INTO A SUPER GREEDY POSER REACTOR. THE HUGE JAPANESE MUSIC SCENE WILL HELP GROW YOUR CHANNEL. NOTHING WRONG WITH GETTING PAID TO DO A GREAT JOB. BUT SOME REACTORS GET BIG AND CATER TO PSYCOPHANT FANS THAT PAY BIG MONEY TO BE GLORIFIED SUPER "COOL" FANS. PLEASE STAY TRUE TO THE MUSIC KILLERMCKNIGHT.
Max unfortunately for you I'm not a cute E girl for guys to Simp over nor do I make any money from doing reactions. The only thing I can offer is my authenticity and vibe. 98% of my videos get copyright claims so I stopped pausing to try to avoid it. Cussing in videos is bad for advertising but I don't make money off it so why do I care about their advertising. I have a 6 figure job that pays my bills I only do this as a fun hobby so don't you worry Max. I'll never be a big fake af greedy reactor.
I REALLY LIKE THE REACTORS THAT DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF MUSIC. SORRY I GOT SOME ANGER FROM TURNING ON NEW REACTORS TO NEW SONGS AND NEW BANDS, ONLY TO GET TURNED AWAY AFTER THEY GOT BIG, CUZ I DIDN'T DONATE MONEY. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT REACTION.
