I am 38 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

I knew this color was a keeper when I first wore it and my husband said “Ohhh I like that color on you! It’s like red but with some pink!” 😮 (He’s an absolute darling but he rarely picks up on makeup nuances. Which I’m fine with honestly. 😂) But he loved how he looked on me and that made me ☺️☺️☺️

I love Velvet Bloom 💗🌺 it’s a fuchsia pink/red but way less vibrant and cool-toned than Skyscraper Rose. Lisa’s colors are indeed incredibly nuanced. This manages to be a pink but a red at the same time and a bit bright and cheerful whilst still muted! She is a magician
I am over the moon with this color! It brought my face to life! I think I found my signature lipstick with this one. It is red and pink and muted all at the same time. I adore it!

I know this is a lipstick video, but I'm nevertheless getting distracted by how GREAT you hair looks! It's so subtle and soft looking. Anyway, loved the video. It helped me realize that Bloom doesn't need to be in my shopping cart for my next order. I would be curious to know how it compared to Pompadour, which I bought on a whim. But I think I can judge that it is more red than that pink shade. Thanks, CH, for all the fun times watching you.🙌
I’m not a pink gal so definitely not getting bloom. The colour looks like how all “true red” lipsticks look on me - pink!! (I’m fair with warm olive undertones.) CT red carpet red looks insanely pink on me, I can’t even imagine how pink Lisa’s bloom would look!
Also if anyone else struggles with reds going pink on them try Mac Chilli or CT Red Hot Susan - both true red on me.
I'm also fair olive, though more on the grey side 😄, but I do find a lot of lipsticks go pinky. Lisa Eldridge's Rain looks straight up pink on me. Have you tried Cinnabar? I love how burnt and browny it looks in the bullet, but it plays like a fairly regular red on me.

So funny how undertones work. I have light to barely medium olive skin and the CT red hot Susan looks very warm and orange on me. I will try the Mac chili. I agree a lot of the LE lipsticks look a bit pinkish but I think they do on LE when she swatches them on herself also. I wish she would make more rosy browns. Those are my favs. I did get this new LE lipstick and it does have pink in it but it is gorgeous for the spring or summer. And I don’t wear pink lipsticks as I have quite pigmented lips and muted or lighter lipsticks wash me out because my natural lip color is naturally darker so I’m used to seeing that on my face. I absolutely love the LE lipstick formula!

This was such a helpful review! I have Enchantment so I doubt I need this, but having the comparison was really helpful. I do hope Lisa's future collections are less red and pink based as I feel she's given us a enough variations on that shade, but this color is stunning on you and suits you really well.

That really is the magic of her lipsticks, not only to the feel and look gorgeous, they wear beautifully. You always know they still will look lovely after eating. Bought bloom as soon as I received the email! Now wearing bloom and strawberry shock on rotation all summer!
IMO Lisa Eldridge lipsticks are the best lipsticks that I have ever used although I have used lipsticks by Helena Rubinstein; Estée Lauder; MAC; Nars; Chanel, etc. I have cool colouring and I like Skyscraper Rose; Love Of My Life and Velvet Ribbon.

Was lucky enough to be gifted this at the Manchester Selfridges pop up last month - oh so pretty! I mean I would have bought it had it been for sale but it was only stocked there as a 'gift with purchase'. So I wasn't going to argue! C'mon! What a bonus! And you're right it's just beautiful. I bought Je Ne Sais Quoi & Sunday Matinee and the lovely lady popped a Velvet Bloom into my bag with a smile :D Couldn't believe it! Never thought to pop some Dancing Rose on top though... what a brilliant idea - thank you Charlotte. I've just done that and it's transformed into a glossy lip smacking pout! Clever Charlotte 💋💋
I must have the weirdest lips cause her matte lipsticks never last on me, it’s like it won’t stick/grip in the center of my lips or because I’m a lot older and that’s what happens, don’t know 😘😂 but I do have a collection of her lipsticks, can’t help myself, just ordered it❤

…. I think in order to exercise at least some semblance of self control😆☺ i am going to skip this one because i have enchantment and rain and i think i i could get something really similar and a bit more neutral with both of those together which is more my style but she is a beautiful color 🤩
when i went to the selfridges counter, the employee told me that it's enchantment + rain mixed and i tried it and she was right :) i also found it is a muted and slightly warmer version of skyscraper rose.

To be hones I normally dont have anything nevative bad about her lipsticks because I love them all dearly specially that particular formula.But this time around i when ahead and bought it and i was just like mehhh i have so many shades within the same range color, I wish that it would have been a color between Sunday Matinee (favorite) and that velvet bloom it would have been so so pretty and now for some reason is drying my lips. By the way I love your makeup :)

I love all of my LE lipsticks, I am not sure why I buy anything else. I reach for them like a reflex, they are magically in my hand, I take no responsibility!!
Buying anything else is a good reminder of how fantastic LE's product's are.
Though in my case LE doesn't make "crazy" lip colors so if I feel like wearing a bright yellow or green lipstick that day I unfortunately have to use some other brand.

Velvet Bloom is a stunning colour. I have it since a couple of days, and I love the colour. I also don‘t mind the matte finish (I‘m currently more into Cremes and glosses). Other than this, I have ordered „Meet me in Berlin“ together with “Velvet Bloom” and I have since a while „Painterly“. I have quite a collection of lipsticks, but Painterly is one of my most used and I‘m halfway through it.
With my order I got one of her foundation samples. I was lucky, every time I looked, the lightest samples were not available (I’m very fair). First I was sceptical as only one of the shades looked light enough, and it was quite pink looking in that sample packaging (I’m more neutral, but can get away with slightly yellow undertones, as my freckles have a wired yellow-brown colour). So, “never judge a book by its cover” and I tried the lightest looking shade. I’m shook, this is the best shade match I ever had! The only thing I don’t like, is how it looks on my nose at the end of the day. Maybe I used a bit too much on my nose. I will play around a bit more, because I love the shade match.
Love this shade. Ribbon was my favourite shade of Lisa but it is brighter and very "in the face" when worn on every day. Jazz didn't work for me, it was uneven and too dark. I also have morning but too orange. I wanted bright fuchsia pink and got Skyscraper Rose - it wasn't "it". Velvet Bloom is the perfect pink red, little muted, perfect for everyday wear, works with my casual style... Everyone is commenting on it now, I wear it with pleasure.
She has an out of this world understanding of colours. It doesn’t matter what shade I try of hers, it always looks flattering on me. I feel that goes for everybody I see review her lipsticks.
I still buy her lipsticks because they are so special and have bought this one too, but Im scared for them to starting to break after people have starting sharing that their lipsticks break😭I haven’t experienced this yet though thank god.
Lisa Aldridge needs too get it together with her supplier becuz it's the worst.
