Good issue but I really wish we got to see Sonic and Kit hang out more, because I think having Sonic be a good influence on Kit and teaching him about good morals would really give the Kit an inner conflict about going back to Surge, considering Sonic was overall kinder to him.
But now we’re probably gonna have a situation where Kit’s gonna go to central city, see Sonic fighting Surge and be like “SONIC, YOU LIED TO ME!!!” and then immediately join Surges side.
Did Sonic actually lie to him though? He told Kit that Surge was buried and nobody could survive that [From Sonic's own perspective], and Sonic said that she along with Starline are gone [Again from his own perspective].

Though again, with the unpredictability of events anything could happen.
i just like how whispers last attempt of fighting back was to try and stab surge with peices of her whisp gun and seems to be neck or chest area too she would kill someone if it means to save someone she cares about if it means to be the last resort which i really admire about her

First Starline ruined the Tinker family lives, then ruins Surge and Kitsunami lives and now even dead he still wants to mess with Surge’s head.
Surge already showing that she got what it takes to be Sonics next big fast rival right next to Shadow, Metal sonic and Jet

Personality Wise? Yes.
Power wise? Hell no, She wasn’t even seen as a serious threat by Sonic. Hell, he treated their fight like it was barly above a morning work out.

If Kit sees that Surge is alive, who knows what could happen?
they would possibly reunited and causing more havoc. and once they got defeated, Sonic can't letting them go again like he usually did after what happen during Pre-Metal Virus Saga.

Kit cpuld be divised between sonic and surge...between serving tp master. I'm really hyper for surge's and kit's character development
I think he'll eventually go back to Surge that's his whole objective, but will get worried for her since she's going insane with Starline. There are some scenarious with this:
1 - Kit can't catch up to Surge and stays for whatever reason
If this is the case, Kit will try to go back to Surge and Sonic will try to convince him otherwise but won't stop him, he cares about freedom and respects Kit's agency, hopefully this warms Kit to the others.
2 - Kit goes along with her
If this is the case Surge and Kit will be really dangerous, they're not that strong individually, but as a team they're terrifying.
I'm curious as to how Tails will compare to Kit.
Surge is constantly comparing herself to Sonic but Sonic is both a leader, empathetic and more willing to listen to others, that sets him apart from her and makes him much more capable.
How will Tails set himself apart from Kit? Kit is pretty computer savy and stronger than Tails individually but their fight already showed Tails is a better strategist and Tails has the agency Kit lacks, their fight will be interesting
Oh my goodness, Kit is even more adorable and wholesome with Sonic and Tails. I hope we get more of this.😊
Also, in this issue, does Surge remind me of General Grievous from the 2003 Star Wars: The Clone Wars miniseries?
He kinda does remind of General Grievous from star wars. But that scene where he is in a blanket is the most adorable thing I have ever scene his just too dum cute

I kind of feel sorry for Kit. Everything is just falling apart on him. I'm just worried what happens if he finds out Surge's alive.
I have a feeling the moment kit meets surge again in the next comic she'll be all like "with all this power I don't you anymore you useless squirt" or something like that
Looking at Surge, I'm very happy that there is a possibility that it will fit in the Wario position of the Sonic series.

Quite cute how much Kit enjoyed actually working for someone who appreciated him.
It doesn't matter that he enjoyed it. His feelings don't matter. That's the belief that has been ingrained into him. His sole purpose is to serve, and to latch onto another master when the previous one dies.
@@kingcamelot1395 it's been ingrained in him yes, and that needs to be undone. At the same time there's a major difference between having someone around who won't take advantage of him and will try to undo the damage done (as we saw with Belle when she tried to get him to stay out of the fight), versus someone who only views him as a tool and has no interest in seeing him break the conditioning. And it appears he sees the difference too between someone who isn't going to bully and demean him and someone who will.
Now whether he'll just default to working for Surge when he sees her or actually suffer a crisis of wanting to stay with Sonic is another matter. The former would make sense given Starline's feeble understanding of what made Sonic and Tails tick, but the latter opens up an interesting path. He specifically said he wasn't going to lose Sonic too, which kinda says he's viewing his relationship to Sonic as the same as what he has with Surge. Problem is, as far as he would be concerned, Tails already fills that position. How long before he decides he has to remove the third wheel?

This was a fantastic Issue the fight scene with Whisper & Surge I’ve never seen anything like this before. I was a bit worried for Whisper In this fight with Surge battling out with each other. But I’m so glad she’s ok and she was so brave as well.

Welp I think we found Sonic’s new rival for the comics,games,etc.bye ultimate life form.I just notice how surge is basically idw shadow.surge is Struggling to remember her past Similar to shadow and tries to fight sonic.which is super cool
completely opposite to me, Shadow is an artificial lifeform while Surge and Kit are modified living beings (or cyborgs for short), Shadow is at least given free will while Surge and Kit's personalities are altered in the same way as reprogramming a robot, at least Shadow can still remember his past while Surge and Kit's past memories got erased that they don't even remember anything about it at all, and Shadow goes berserk because he lost a person he cared about while Surge and Kit (but mostly Surge) goes berserk due to the effects of that personality change. Thanks alot, Starline!!

Surge nearly killed Eggman, but Eggman is still alive, Sonic told Kit the truth what really happened to Surge, Kit got upset, turns on Belle, Whisper was in for the fight of her life vs ElectroSurge’s rampage, only for her to lose her Wisps to ElectroSurge, who uses her dynamo Cage to gain more power, Whisper nearly lost her Wisps in the Wispons, Sonic & Tails came to Whisper’s aid, Kit turns on Belle realizing Surge is still alive, reunited with Surge, my goodness what happens next month leaves everyone speechless, Sonic vs Surge vs Metal Sonic RD 2 Dec 28, Sonic is in trouble. 😱😱😱😱🤩🤩

@@zac.t3975 Well, Sonic knew at first Surge is still alive, wreaking havoc on central city & nearly destroyed Whisper, Kit didn’t, It felt like Kit was lied to realizing Surge is still alive & seeking revenge Vs Sonic, Kit needs to make a decision for sure, Team Sonic or Team Surge. I’d say that Kit will still side with Team Sonic like he did in 52 & 53, but doesn’t know where his head is at, wait & see in Sonic IDW 54.

@@bradleydrake6941 You’re right, Kit played the hero siding with Team Sonic, Surge on the flip side is Hellbent on getting revenge vs Sonic, Kit will try to either aid Sonic or Surge, wait & see in Sonic IDW 54, where Kit’s loyalty stands, Kit has to reason with Surge & save Sonic for sure. Sonic told Kit the truth. Kit becomes more of a hero, Surge is still Sonic’s new rival & villain exacting revenge vs Sonic.

Surge not killing Eggman is an example where the plot armor is just in your face. Don't care she hates Sonic more. She blames both Starline and Eggman for her creation, not just Sonic. Despite he is the origin point of her existence.

I mean they didn't even tried to arrest or go for him after the whole mess with the metal virus wich could've caused a mass extinction.

Surge is just a foil character at this point. She claims the world wrong her at this point yet second guess about her past not sure if she was a volunteer or kidnapped and gave it up too quickly. She have at least get some clues and start questioning where she is from or who she is. Also she liked causing trouble for the world in Impostor Syndrome #1 and Sonic the Hedgehog #46 literally before finding out she was a knock off cause Kit stated that city wanted to be happy and she chooses to misbehave for her own benefits.
The build be being Sonic's fiercest rival failed:
>Was outclasssd by Metal Sonic even with Kit's help and only beat him by combing their powers
>Sweating when fighting the Egg Breaker
>Needed to tag team with Starline and Kit to beat one Egg Hammer when Sonic was able to fight them off a bit before Tails appeared and defeated them with him.
>Lost to reasonable Sonic who was holding back due to her underestimating him for days and resorts to using Kit help to beat him if he was coming alone.
>Refuses to train and wait to passively get stronger and is desperate for outside power sources to overcome Sonic
>Base Dyamo amp and yet put on the defensive against Whipser and was only dangerous when she used the Wisp power to boost her abilities amd gain new ones. Only had it cause Eggman didn't aim for the head and even the Doctor wasn't even scared of her.
Surge is a complete non threat and was only dangerous to Sonic and Metal with outside power and Kit's help
Ah man i don’t like surge one bit and it’s great since personally I always like villain’s but man she needs a call back to reality as much as it’s fun seeing her loose her sanity with starline (I rejoiced for a full minute after seeing this happening) I still feel it’s cruel but eh she kinda deserves it

God I feel so bad for Kit. Guys probably like 8 or 9 and is already convinced he means nothing unless he can prove himself useful to others, and on top of that the two people that could be considered his family (a really shitty family, but a family nonetheless) got ripped away from him. I'm really interested in his character, how Surge is more important to him than his own safety or health and how he's now dealing with being seperated from her. Latching on to Sonic and trying to have the same relationship with him without realising how toxic and destructive it was with Surge was not what I was expecting, but it really is fitting in the most heartbreaking way. I do hope Sonic manages to help him out of that mental state, though not just yet. Getting through to someone like that would take a while, and in the meantime I want to see what'll happen if he sees Surge is back and if his mental state deteriorates even further.
I wish Shadow would return someday.
Yup you and every other fan of Shadow. But I would like it better if the restrictions on him were beaten first. Which why I hope Jeff can prove it to SEGA that Shadow is a better character when allowed to express himself and mature outside of the edge lord we've seen for years

Jeff Fowler is the director behind the Sonic movies. And managed to give both Tails and Knuckles the true respect they deserved for their characters.
You’re right, Unfortunately we have to wait a few years for both Sonic IDW and the movie before we see Shadow writing right again. I just hope it worth the wait.
My favorite version of Shadow this decade is the Twitter which is sad.

My heart practically broke when I saw not only four of the five Wisps Whisper owns be taken by Surge, but on top of that, see her Wispon be destroyed. Those Wisps are that the last connection she has with The Diamond Cutters, and the the Wispon she used was a prototype made by Smithy, meant to eventually be developed for the entire team she lost. I am never going to forgive Surge if anything happens with her Wisps. Whisper has already lost so much! If she loses all of her Wisps for good, she is going to have a mental breakdown worse than when Tangle was turned into a zombot!!! 😭

How about a surge vs kit?
People need to stop saying Surge has what it literally. She is only dangerous cause of the dynamo amp. Her fights against Sonic and Metal prove she is to up to ther standards as she was jobbed by them ruthless and reasonable positions. She already failed at being Sonic's rival and the fact she needs that amp proves she clearly isn't at all.
If it wasn't for that amp she would get jobbed by them like always.
agree, just because she get more power doesn't mean that she's better than him, it already proved that she can't even defeat Metal Sonic alone and require Kit's help to doing so while Sonic himself are able to defeat him alone.
it at also showing that they (Starline, Surge and Kit) are only relying on power without really having any experience on it, they're also knowing their enemies through mere rumors only, therefore they underestimate them for their flaws

Oh this is gonna be fun, Kit is going to see Surge is still alive, and believe that Sonic was lying to him.
I know I’m a little late to this but my god! “poor whisper and kit man’ they’re” nothing but victims in this issue”I feel so sorry for the both of them’ they don’t deserve the stuff that’s happened to them. it sucks’ whisper not only gets the crap beaten out of her’ she also losses some of her closest friends and not only her friends” but the very last thing that remains of her original friends the diamond cutters. it’s just a complete mess for her she’s gone through enough agony’ she doesn’t need this too’ this is all just too much for her’ then there’s kit’ he’s a victim of emotional and psychological abuse. that’s all ready bad enough’ but he’s going through tough times in this issue. he’s struggling to find worth and acceptance well coping with the presumed death of his adoptive family. “then he finds out the newest potential friend he’s made” the one who after all this time might truly be the one he’s been looking for is in trouble’ and naturally rushes in to help only to presumably soon discover that the remaining member of his adoptive family is still alive” and will potentially come to a choice of who he’ll side with’ his new friends or the only family member he’s ever known” it’s probably gonna destroy what’s left of his fragile mind. overall these two deserve a “hug” and to be surrounded by those who can respect care and love them. I honestly wish these two the best and who knows? if things go good in the next issue’ maybe in future issue these two can form a bond of sorts. not as lovers of course but a type of little brother and big sister type of bond” as well with belle’ too with her being a motherly type to kit” seeing as the three of them have all had painful experiences’ I’d love for the next annul or any future issues to have a short of these two having a small moment. with whisper doing the same thing for kit that tangle once did for her “giving him the comfort he needs” of course this is just wishful thinking. but imagine how adorable this friendship would be” overall though. they deserve better then what happens here.
