I worked with Marty in 2017. I am still grateful for his indispensible help. I wouldn't have succeeded if it weren't for Marty's guidance. Good guy and a good coach. He also had a lot of faith in me at a time when I didn't ... I ended up scoring 760. Good to see you doing an interview with him
Hey Suge, 100% Yes. I really did trial-and-error my way through until I found what worked. If you have a look at the second video I made, I outline the approach I'd actually take. Just, I'd use TTP for verbal also. If I were to take this approach, then yes I will have gotten there faster. Every hour counted though.
Hi Adriana, I had 1 - 2 sessions with Neil during the 650 era. Then, Marty and I had 6 sessions over the course of 12 months or so, but we would speak together fairly frequently.
Complete the passage questions are definitely NOT the hardest. Once you drop the notion that something is hard, that something becomes easier, but in this case its definitely true. Its worth going through either TTP's or Powerscore's approach to this. But simply put, you need to read the passage very closely, then logically think what's missing: a premise or a conclusion. You can tell what's missin based on the last sentence typically. Train your brain into spotting whats missing, then find the statement that most logically fills in the gap. The trick is to see whats missing
Hi Dan, I have completed all the 500 and 600 question streaks for all verbal topics but still scored only v34 on the real test. Do you think thats the kind of score one gets if one has already completed the streaks? Im trying to identify my gaps and wondering whether its actually due to exam taking strategy rather than understanding concepts, im not sure
Potentially. Its hard for me to say without knowing intimate details of how you actually studied. I take some people on for coaching if that interests you, but its more a one-off session as my schedule no longer permits on-going tutoring. To get in the v40+ area, you need to be getting at least SOME 700+ questions correct, so if you haven't achieved 700 streaks then the most logical thing to do would be to practice them. As I keep saying, take a topic by topic approach. So, Learn content-> achieve sub-600 streaks-> 600-> then 700 streaks, THEN move on to the next topic in that sub-section (DS/PS/ SC/CR/RC)

Yes. In fact I recommend only TTP for Quant and now for verbal. I did engage TTP for tutoring. I spoke with Marty a great deal during my time, and I recevied tutoring quite at specific times in my prep. Tutoring or coaching can be great to a. Get setup properly and ensure you are studying properly; b. work on weak-points; c. identify mistakes you keep making; d. ammend logical gaps in your existing approach; e. Alleviate anxiety; f. Help you piece everything together in the end I have so much respect for TTP's product that I continue to keep in touch with the team. Honestly, its a one-of-a-kind platform

Dan if you were to start this journey all over again. Knowing what you know now. What would your steps be to get to your 710 faster?

100% Yes. I really did trial-and-error my way through until I found what worked.

Hi! Thanks for this video. I was wondering how many tutoring hours did you take per week?

Hi do you have tips on how to handle complete the passage CR question? Its the toughest verbal question out there
