    Fantastic video. Should be shown to all training nail techs as stuff like this isn’t explained. I’ve been qualified about a year and half and still didn’t some of this. I always thought chrome, mermaid and pigments were the same thing that’s probably why I have issues using them .It’s helped loads and is going into my saved videos. Thankyou for your lessons and explanations your making me a much better tech and providing a lot of knowledge and skills training. X

      Also color(neon) pigments need sticky layer? And also we have normal clitters what normaly i been seen use to give nail color so its inside the gel not like sugar?

    • @dorotapalicka
      @dorotapalicka  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes and yes. So neon pigments are pigments which work on top of inhibition layer. And then we have glitters which we encapsulate

    Hi Dorota! I saw tons of videos about this topic, but I always pick up some new and little bit different way of doing mirrors, chromes, sugaring etc-etc.
    Maybe a few hint might be helpful for You (and your followers too) that I learned.
    - Lot of chrome will not stick to the surface if the no wipe coat is fully cured. I saw a lot of videos where the nailtechs curing just 5-10 minutes shorter.
    - Some of them even rub the cured surface with a tiny bit of alcohol (or without alcohol, just a lintfree pad) until it's squeeky (literally, the surface starts squeeking like a new shoe :D ).
    - Many of them didn't scratch the surface around, instead they use acid free primer on the chrome/foil etc AND just after top coat it.
    - And I saw many times that they didn't dusting the nail, especially if they rubbed the powder with their fingertips.
    I hope this will be useful for someone! Sorry if I wrote something in the funny way, but this is not my first language, Still learning by my own. Have a nice day! :):)

    This video was really interesting, and definitely helpful. I do have a question about the chrome powder though, if you end up putting it on the sticky layer, either on purpose, or by accident, and it turns matte colored instead of the super shiny chrome coloured, would it turn shiny again if you add a glossy top coat on top of it? Or would that shiny chrome look just not look the same? You never showed how it would look if you top coated it afterwards, which I think would've been interesting to see. But this was a great video, with a lot of useful information. 👍
