Roxas is just by far my favorite character from kingdom hearts. His likeness coming from ventus' heart fragment, his tragic and heartfelt story of being in the organization and gaining feelings (and a heart?) up until being placed in the situated Twilight Town and reconnecting with sora. Just such a good character I love him...and I was so excited to read that he might come back in KH3

Sora literally says that his whole Journey started the day he lost her and Everytime he finds her, he thinks they'll be together forever. Kairi shared a Paopu Fruit with Sora and said she didn't want to be left behind and wants to be with Sora no matter what. Their hug after he rescued her??? And their little dates at the end, holding hands and checking up on everybody else. And finally, Riku looking on and smiling as Sora and Kairi sit on the Paopu Tree, watching the sunset and holding hands.

In my, admittedly limited, maritime experience, a rowboat and a raft both suck in rough waters.
A raft will throw you off in rough waters much easier.
A rowboat will fill with water and sink, leaving you in the rough waters.
Both screw you in different ways.

Think about it, they could get in serious trouble if they took the boat. But, if they make their own, the only trouble they'll get into is for leaving in the first place.
Sora ain't no fool. Leaving might tick off his mom, but taking one of the boats would have put him in an early grave.
Not to mention that their other friends still need a way back to the main island. Those boats are so tiny they look like they can only fit one kid each. How did all six of them get out there?
We know in BBS that Riku's (or was it Sora's) dad has a boat, but I'm thinking it was an actual normal sized boat. Then again, seeing Riku's house in the manga, it might have been a yacht. Why don't they just take that?
