I’m not AGAINST plastic surgery as bodily autonomy is vital to EVERYONE, but I REALLY think you need to go through some extensive therapy to be absolutely sure of your choice, first, and that there’s no “barely passing” as a doctor in cosmetic surgery. Likewise, people thinking of undergoing such procedures should be made aware of any and all risks that could occur.

It’s called body dysmorphia, I have it also but plastic surgery is something I’d never get, because my boyfriend finds be beautiful even if I don’t think I am and he hates unnatural girls. When it gets to that state, when it gets 100% debilitating, you can’t go outside or get even looked at without thinking that you’re being judged or that others are thinking youre ugly or focusing on your insecurities. So the only way to (temporarily) fix those “problems” is to go under the knife, but you’ll always be insecure about it no matter how much you try to fix it. It’s a mental illness. Go to a therapist, not a plastic surgeon. Plastic surgery is so easy for anyone to get their hands on, it’s the demise of natural beauty and real women. Even at my age, freshly 18 girls are getting surgeries, it’s so scary.

you got this! i used to be so shy and scared to socialize, but one thing that really helped me was just sort of letting go of all the fear of judgement. instead of constantly thinking about how others perceive me, i now say "who cares?" and just be myself. sure people may judge, but they honestly shouldnt matter to you. eventually youll find the people who dont judge you for being yourself, and youll know youve found your people. it may sound silly to just 'stop worrying' but once i really said it to myself and believed that other peoples perception of me didnt matter i found myself being so much happier. i do find myself shying away from others still, but definitely not as often. dont be scared to be you, alright? it doesnt matter what your voice sounds like or how you look, what matters is that you live your life to the fullest and allow yourself to enjoy it. keep your head up, and believe in yourself

I’ve had surgery and recently an (early) lower face-and necklift to ‘top it off’ -my surgeon is great and it looks very natural. She is one of the best surgeons in my country and I’m very happy with it.
My opinion; your surgery was not necessary (I assume). Every operation has a change of getting botched or have complications. Operations are to normalized in this era without any good arguments. We need to stop this trend. But I'm not attacking you, I only give you my personal opinion.

I think what our main issue as a society is that we often get mad at women for getting old, and we celebrate men for getting old. I think as a society we should make our views less about looks and more about what's on the inside
