      It is false to say that the descendants of King David have no records. I personally met a rabbi who knew descendants to this day who have kept authentic records of their genealogy all up to king David.
      Before Titus destroyed the second temple, we learned in our history that Rabbi Yohanan ben Zakkai went to Vespisian asked that Gamliel= a member of the Sandhedrin and also a direct descendant of King David and Solomon be spared from the hands of the Romans and be relocated to Yavneh for safety. There they will be free to continue learning the TORAH. They have brought with them their records. Only the 2 most important tribes continue to preserve records of their lineages for a reason: the Levis and Yehudah.
      I personally know of Levis who traces their records up to 2000 years ago.
      We know that our Jewish Messiah will show his book of lineage to prove his father's lineage up to King David. This debunks yeshu's lineage where the NT said that his father is G-d who does not belong to any tribe, therefore proving that he is not the messiah. So Xtians....you have been wrong all along and quit missionizing Jews.

He did a DNA test and found out that he has 22.5% Jewish ancestry.

      My response, how in the world can you possibly make such an absurd claim? jesus the Messiah? How absurd. There is no Jew ever born in history who was less qualified to be the Messiah than jesus of the new test. Even my sister is more qualified than jesus to be the Messiah. Actually even my dead grandmother is more qualified.
      & if you don't believe me, just wait another 2,000 years and you will see I am right. My dead grandmother died for your sins. & one day she will come back in glory and every knee shall bow to her. & if you reject my grandmother you reject God. Sound familiar?

      The story you say never happened and more importantly, it does not align with God's word. & the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not your God. Your god is jesus. Tell me you deny jesus is God and then you can perhaps claim that the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is your God as well. Otherwise all you follow is a Greek and Roman idol by a different name.

    This Rabbi is very humble and gentle, bless him for that. I have great respect and greatly admire Jewish Rabbis and Sages. However, I'd like to point a few things out:
    1) Yes, the word translated as 'virgin' sure is 'alma' - and yes it means 'young woman'. However, Isaiah 7:14 says that "The Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel".
    Notice that the birth was supposed to be a SIGN, given by the Lord himself. If this verse only refers to a random young woman giving birth to a son, then what kind of a sign is that? No sign what so ever. But if the verse refers to a virgin giving birth to a son, then that truly is a sign indeed given by the Lord himself!
    2) Daniel 9:26 clearly states that Mashiach would be 'cut off' (but not for himself) before the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple. It's crystal clear.
    3) True, Israel is the Suffering Servant throughout the Tanakh. But in context, Isaiah 53 speaks of another Suffering Servant other than Israel. Isaiah uses words like "we", "our" and "us" - example: "He hath borne OUR griefs, and carried OUR sorrows" .. and also.. "He was wounded for OUR transgressions, he was bruised for OUR iniquities: the chastisement of OUR peace was upon him; and with his stripes WE are healed" .. also.. "and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of US all."
    Isaiah is speaking here. So who are the "we", "our" and "us" in this context? It's not Israel and Isaiah goes on to confirm this in verse 8 by saying: ".. for the transgression of MY people was he stricken." - He was stricken for who's people? Isaiah's people. Who are Isaiah's people? Israel. Thus, in this context, the Suffering Servant is definitely NOT Israel.
    In the very next verse Isaiah says "And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done NO VIOLENCE, neither was ANY DECEIT in his mouth." - Israel has never done any violence? There has never been any deceit in the mouth of Israel? Surely, Isaiah isn't speaking about Israel here.
    4) Also, in Zechariah 12 the Lord (YHWH) is speaking. In verse 10 He says that the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem "shall look upon ME [YHWH] whom they have pierced". I know that the hebrew word for 'pierced' here is more like 'thrust through', but Jesus' side was thrust through while hanging on the cross. So.. why does the Lord, YHWH, say that He was pierced/thrust through? The answer to that question is obvious.

The answer is that it is not talking here about God being pierced. The very idea is ludicrous. It sounds almost like you are claiming you can beat God in a fist fight. The problem is, you fail here to put in a comma where one is needed. The verse is really saying that the Jewish people will look toward God BECAUSE of the one who was thrust through. Not that the one who was thrust through is God. The person being spoken about has in fact not yet been thrust through. (we pray he never will be) It is speaking about the person known as Mashiach ben Yosaif, who will be the leader of the Jewish people in the future time when the war of Gog and Magog is to take place. According to the verse here, he is supposed to be killed. (Like I said, we pray God averts this)

      Anton Chigurh, you state "Scarcely any lengthy passage anywhere in the book could be the sole work of Isaiah. In fact, some eighty percent of the book cannot be credited to Isaiah." My response, this whole notion is based on a faulty premise. It is based on the faulty idea that Isaiah was writing a historical scroll when in fact he was writing a Prophetic one. It's like saying the Books of Ezekiel and Zecharya are not yet written since they speak of the war of Gog and Magog.

Note, for instance, that Jewish idol-worshippers were slaying their children “in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks” and “among the smooth stones of the valley” (57:5-6), which is descriptive of Babylon but not Palestine." My response, this is ridiculous. I have seen both clefts and smooth stones in valley's in Israel. Edit: And as Rashi notes on the verse, Judges 15:11 also points out the cleft of the rock.

      @@pardes7342 The fig tree is a parable before we get to Jesus clearing the temple courts. The reason that Jesus has cursed the fig tree in the Gospel of Mark is because he knows the Jewish people are about to reject him, and the time of the Gentiles (and grace) is about to begin with his death and resurrection. In the Old Testament, the fig tree often stood as a symbol for the nation of Israel (Jeremiah 8:13; Hosea 9:10). Cursing the fig tree was Jesus's way of saying that the whole nation had become spiritually barren before the Lord. They had the form of religion but not the reality. They knew the right words to say, but their hearts were far from God.
      By cleansing the Temple and cursing the fig tree, causing it to whither and die, Jesus was pronouncing His coming judgment of Israel and demonstrating His power to carry it out. It also teaches the principle that religious profession and observance are not enough to guarantee salvation, unless there is the fruit of genuine salvation evidenced in the life of the person. This was not the first time Jesus had some harsh words for the religious leaders of His day. Jesus told His listeners to respect the scribes and Pharisees due to their position of authority but not to emulate them, “for they do not practice what they preach. They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. Everything they do is done for people to see” (Matthew 23:3-5). The scribes and Pharisees were supposed to know God and help others know Him and follow His ways. Instead, the religious leaders added to God’s Law, making it a cumbersome and onerous burden. And they did not follow God with a pure heart. Their religion was not true worship of God; rather, it was rooted in a prideful heart. Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount emphasizes the true intent of the Law over the letter of the Law. The scribes and Pharisees emphasized the letter, completely missing its spirit.
      Jesus was and is the purest of all Jews because he acted on God. The same cannot be said for religious elites of that time nor now.

I have heard so many supposed men of God who are so full of hatred, they lose me in the beginning of their obnoxious rhetoric. I believe my faith is enough that I do not need anyone to tell me anything contrary to my belief. As a person who is part Jewish, the overwhelming evidence is that JESUS IS the Messiah, I need no proof, When a person is raised in the environment where parents tell them from birth that Jesus is not, they can only think "My parents are wise and I will believe as they do" The child knows nothing else. Those who come to the Messiah do so on their own and use the Bible to come to their conclusion. I love these claims, they show a math equation about Jesus and the probability of his being the Messiah. "The story of Jesus saturates the meta-narrative of the Bible, and prophecies of His first advent are found throughout the Old Testament. Allusions to Him also come up in micro ways, as many people and events hint at the work He would accomplish. One scholar, J. Barton Payne, has found as many as 574 verses in the Old Testament that somehow point to or describe or reference the coming Messiah. Alfred Edersheim found 456 Old Testament verses referring to the Messiah or His times. Conservatively, Jesus fulfilled at least 300 prophecies in His earthly ministry.
      So, the question of how many prophecies Jesus fulfilled is difficult to answer with precision. Should we count only direct messianic prophecies? Do we count repeated prophecies twice? How about allusions and indirect references to the ministry of Christ? And what about types? A type is a prophetic symbol: a person or thing in the Old Testament that foreshadows a person or thing in the New Testament. So, while Isaiah prophesies the Lord will offer good news for the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1), Boaz lives this out, acting as a type of Christ (Ruth 4:1-11).fter examining only eight different prophecies, they conservatively estimated that the chance of one man fulfilling all eight prophecies was one in 10^17. To illustrate how large the number 10^17 is (a figure with 17 zeros), the professor gave this illustration: If you mark one of ten tickets, and place all the tickets in a hat, and thoroughly stir them, and then ask a blindfolded man to draw one, his chance of getting the right ticket is one in ten. Suppose that we take 10^17 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They’ll cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up the one silver dollar that has the special mark on it. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would’ve had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man, from their day to the present time.
      In financial terms, is there anyone who would not invest in a financial venture if the chance of failure were only one in 10^17? This is the kind of sure investment we’re offered by God for faith in His Messiah.
      From these figures, the professor concludes the fulfillment of these eight prophecies alone proves that God inspired the writing of the prophecies - the likelihood of mere chance is only one in 10^17. Another way of saying this is that any person who minimizes or ignores the significance of the biblical identifying signs concerning the Messiah would be foolish"

The story is very long I tried to be brief . The only people they believe in Jesus are Muslims they love him more than the Christians do and he’s mentioned with his mother in their Quran . The first miracle of Jesus was when he was born he started talking as a newborn to protect his mom because they told her why do have a baby and you never been married .

    Hello! 👋 I'm an Orthodox christian with a few answers.
    Regarding the suffering servant, the good rabbi speaks beautifully 😍 -- that's part of christian doctrine as well. We regard participation in Christ's suffering as necessary for christians.
    Mary's parents are known (Saints Joachim and Anna), and they are descended from David. Matthew's genealogy does indeed point to Joseph as Mary's "man" (there doesn't seem to be a separate word for "husband", but I'm not a Greek scholar). Anyway, Joseph was a widower who was chosen to accept Mary into his household when she came of age (it's a long story). His responsibility toward her was two-fold; to protect her as a daughter, and to provide her with offspring of her own (but of course, God had other plans).
    Regarding "virgin" vs "young woman", the good rabbi's scholarship serves his own agenda (as does mine, as does everyone's!). In the Septuagint, (the Greek translation of the Hebrew bible from 200-300 years before Christ) the word in question was rendered παρθένος ("virgin"). The Septuagint was hailed as a miraculous translation by Jews of the time (an interesting story), produced and used by all Hellenistic Jews (and that was most Jews). This is just the tip of the iceberg; there's way too much to put in a comment.
    Finally, he's right about proof-texting. Our faith must be in Christ first, and we love the bible because of Him, not the other way around.

    • @JackJohnson-bw4pu
      @JackJohnson-bw4pu Před 2 lety +1

      As someone who isn't a member of either faith I really found your comment insightful, but I do have a question, didn't Jews at the time of Christ only accept your tribal lineage from the fathers side? As far as I'm aware this was legally binding at the time and thus Jesus could not have been a descendant of David, at least not in the context of the time.

    • @aureliancosma3807
      @aureliancosma3807 Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks for your comment. It really did give us an insight into those issues. I have a question about your last point, i.e. we love the Bible because of Christ and not the other way round. Isn't the Gospels' depiction of Christ that of a person you'd come to love?

    • @noahd2235
      @noahd2235 Před 2 lety

      You are surely wrong. The Septuagent didn't exist during the writing of the NT. Matthew, according to your faith tradition, was a religious Jew (his name was Levi)-- why couldn't he read the Hebrew? Whoever tells you "Almah" means virgin is brazenly lying. Moreover, you completely failed to rebuff the fact that this wasn't a messianic prophecy! This was in the past tense, in reference to King Hezekiah!!

    • @aureliancosma3807
      @aureliancosma3807 Před 2 lety +1

      @@noahd2235 Your comment sounds critical. From what I know, the Septuagint had already been completed some time before the birth of Christ. Therefore it did exist at the time the four gospels were written. As for "almah", the translators of the Septuagint chose the word "parthenos". That word in Greek means "virgin". The Jewish scholar(s) who translated the text can't have been biased, as at that time Christianity hadn't been born.

Yes, Jesus did in fact claim to be God(you can see that in His I am statements) but not a different god than the one true God that created the heavens and the earth. Have you actually read the New Testament? Even if you sadly, deny it God will not condemn you for using your mind to make sure you know the truth. Read it. How will we, a group of imperfect sinners, stand before a perfect God? Why does God use plural pronouns to describe Himself during the creation? There are many questions, more than I can write down here. God has given you the task of living for Him, and discovering more about Him.

      Blasphemous, anti-God, anti-Jewish, replacement-theology, willfully ignorant Paul, never even MET Jesus, yet he made him into a 'god' and told us we are "no longer under the law", which he blasphemously and arrogantly called a "curse"!! If God said His word is ETERNAL, it is ETERNAL, which means it is STILL IN EFFECT TODAY!! Does it make ONE bit of sense to you, that God would give us His word on Mt. Sinai, tell us it is ETERNAL, and that we are NOT to follow ANY OTHER book than the one He gave us that day, and then turn around in a couple of thousand years and tell us that the word that He told us is ETERNAL, is now a pile of garbage and we now have to follow this OTHER book which overrides what He told us is ETERNAL??!! Do you REALLY believe God doesn't know the meaning of the word "ETERNAL"??!! GOD certainly thinks His ETERNAL word is NEEDED, and Orthodox Jews today still observe God's ETERNAL laws!! So YES, we STILL LIVE UNDER THE LAW, ceremonial or otherwise - and until Christians actually know what the "ceremonial" laws represent, they need to stop pontificating about their importance - if God gave them to us, and told us they're ETERNAL, they're IMPORTANT, and NOBODY has the authority to say otherwise!! Please do some honest research on the origins of Christianity and also, look up the meaning of the word "ETERNAL"!

It is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind, and is definitely NOT from God, Creator of the universe. Jesus (PBUH) is the Messiah for us because I am a Muslim. Jesus (PBUH) didn't came to reject the law of Torah which was given to Moses (PBUH), Jesus (PBUH) came to fulfill the law of Torah.
    And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.[Quran 5:46]
    And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah[i.e., God] to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Aḥmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."[Quran 61:6]
    [And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah(God) gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah(God)].He will speak to the people in the cradle and in maturity and will be of the righteous. "She said, "My Lord, how will I have a child when no man has touched me?" [The angel] said, "Such is Allah; He creates what He wills. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, 'Be,' and it is. And He will teach him writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel. And [make him] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah(God). And I cure the blind [from birth] and the leper, and I give life to the dead - by permission of Allah(God). And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah(God) and obey me. Indeed, Allah(God) is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is the straight path.'" But when Jesus felt [persistence in] disbelief from them, he said, "Who are my supporters for [the cause of] Allah(God)?" The disciples said, "We are supporters for Allah(God). We have believed in Allah(God) and testify that we are Muslims [submitting to Him].Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger [i.e., Jesus], so register us among the witnesses [to truth]."And they [i.e., the disbelievers] planned, but Allah(God) planned. And Allah(God) is the best of planners.[Mention] when Allah(God) said, "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify [i.e., free] you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah(God) alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ. And as for those who disbelieved, I will punish them with a severe punishment in this world and the Hereafter, and they will have no helpers."[Quran 3:45-56]

      @@topuaman2620 I personally don't believe that God has a religion... The Abrahamic religions that we know today is just a product of Messopotamia sumarian mythology these Messopotamia civilization has a culture that believe in Gods, the first man and woman is Adam and eve, Noah that saves humanity from flood etc this is clearly in Sumarian culture...... That brought by Abraham to Canaan soon became Israel in ancient times. This Israelites/Hebrews people created a religion that based on Messopotamia ideologies they called it Judaism they believe in one God and a messiah messiah...... That soon evolved to another religion Christianity.... according for Christians the Jewish promise messiah is Jesus Christ (Christ means messiah). So that Christianity established in 7AD, then Islam also established in 600AD as they believe also in one God just like Jews., The only difference is Muslims/Muslims perspective claims that Quran is the final book of God and the logical point why he anointed Muhammad as final prophet is to restruct the Torah+Bible that according to Muslims are corrupted books...
      The other side of the civilization is in India Wich is Hinduism, it's the oldest religion in the world. They also believe in God, and that religion is also evolved to other sect like Buddhism, Jainism...
      In ancient china they have also ancient religion Taoism....

      Consider, too, that the Pharisees do not exist today as a Jewish sect. Many were followers of the Messiah and could not remain as Pharisees.
      Now, I do agree that there are those in our society who have Pharisical tendencies, but they too, can be transformed by the grace of God. So, I must respectfully disagree. Pharisees can change and thanks be to God they do. If He can change me, He can change anybody.

      @Paula Wallace Paula, I appreciate your tearing apart of the dumb mercenary arguments due to their obvious mistranslations or overt bastardization of the texts meaning.
      I really do...at the same time I find your fighting them on their own ground, i.e. that any of these are actual prophecies and some messianic age is coming, to be troubling. We have done critical analysis of these books. Isaiah had at least 3 authors and was written and edited over centuries. Daniel was mostly written in the 2nd century, not the 6th. How coincidental that it gets all the events from about 600 B.C. to 167 B.C. correct and then goes absolutely 0-for on any prophecy after that. Hmmm? I wonder why. Maybe because the author/authors, knew of the events between 600B.C. and then because they were HISTORY.
      We need to stop arguing with these people wherein their basic premise that these are real prophecies is correct and they just have the wrong interpretation. That will never work. They need to be educated about the actual authorship and dating of these works. They need to be educated that these so called prophecies are actually history being told via allegory for the express purpose of having POLITICAL and CULTURAL effects of the jewish people living when the books were written. THAT WAS THEIR PURPOSE! This needs to be the argument. Not, "you misinterpret and mistranslate"...no matter how true that also may be.

In fact many of his epistles are the ONLY works that scholars believe were actually written by the claimed writer.
      You can be religious and find meaning in the Bible without being myopic enough to think the claimed author is actually the author the VAST majority of the time (especially in the Old Testament). I understand the New Testament not being reliable along with Jews saying there is no God before God or in addition to and so forth. I have yet to find a Christian to give me an accurate and educated response to this. They’ll quote a book written by Paul the false apostle or someone 2-3 times removed from Yeshua for an argument. Additionally, he respectfully explained that Christians are forcing their own interpretations of certain Biblical verses to fit what they personally want to believe even though that is not how those verses were/are traditionally understood in the original Hebrew Bible. For example, when you look up the verses without trying to force a Christian viewpoint, and in particular, read the verses before and after in their context, they simply do not come across as prophecies providing proof the way some Christians want to believe. The better question is, why do Christians want to force interpretations to try to make it seem like they were prophecies about Jesus when such interpretations would not make sense within the context of those verses? I'm not Jewish, but I was impressed with his refutation from a Jewish perspective of the Christian points presented to him.

But it likely comes at least in part from the false doctrine of OSAS which too many Christians believe, that they can just say a sinner's prayer and do nothing more. God has always required obedience and He has eternal laws. Paul taught the same doctrine/gospel as Jesus. I am constantly putting out videos against OSAS because it is a cancerous doctrine that has invaded the church and is leading many astray. It's the same doctrine as the doctrine of the Nicolaitans that Jesus said He hates, in the book of Revelation. James 2 tells is that faith without works is dead. Whilst we are not saved by works, we are saved for them. I made a video with 380+ verses which are solely warnings and admonishments from Apostle Paul. OSAS believers claim only some books of the NT are to the Gentile church which is false. The scriptures teach that our hearts are circumcised under the new covenant, not the flesh. And this was prophesied of in the old testament. Jesus is part of the trinity, He is God and it is clearly stated in scriptures. I disagree that the prophecies of Jesus are forced interpretations. They are too specific and there are some good Bible teachers such as Michael Brown (Messianic Jew) that go into detail on this.

    I really respect this rabbi's gentle response, but I want to address some of his points. And, sorry that this response is really long lol, but I just wanted to make everything clear! :)
    1. The rabbi said something along the lines that our interpretations of Biblical text are based on our overall theological orientation. But, with this mindset, any theological orientation could be right and true. For example, some may argue that murder is part of their theological orientation and they will find Biblical text that supports their view and interpret countering texts with that view that murder is alright. But, we all know that murder is universally wrong and it cannot be interpreted differently in the Biblical text. Same with many other topics, including the Messiah. Yes, there are some texts that are interpreted differently, even among Christians, but those texts don't shake or break down the foundational truths found in Biblical text that cannot be otherwise.
    2. The Messiah had to be divine and equal with God. Psalm 2:7 says, "I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee." This verse states that the Messiah wasn't only human, but was God's Son. You may argue that this passage isn't talking about the Messiah, but verse 2 states, "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His ANOINTED [definition of Messiah] . . ." Verse 12 continues to say, "Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the way."
    Also, in Genesis 1:26, it states, "And God said: "Let us make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness."" Who was God referring to by OUR? Who else could He be referring to other than Him as the Father, Son, and Spirit?
    Another passage that talks about the Messiah being divine is Psalm 110:1: "The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool." The fact that the LORD is saying to the Lord "sit thou at my right hand," makes the Lord an equal ruler with the LORD. Plus, David is calling his future descendant, the Messiah, His Lord, which gives the Lord a higher position than just human.
    3. For the Messiah to be divine, He had to be born of virgin. (I'll evaluate why that was necessary in a following point.) Isaiah @ states, "Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you (King Ahaz) a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel." Now, you may argue that the word "virgin" was a mistranslation of the term "young woman," but even if that were so, why would God decide to prophecy about an ordinary birth? Plus, why would the son be called Immanuel, which means "God with us," if he was born the regular way, out of the intentions of a husband and wife? This shows that the Messiah had to be born of virgin to match His title as Immanuel.
    In addition, Isaiah 54:1 says, "Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD." This verse talks about the virgin giving birth to the Messiah through which many, many people shall be called sons and daughters of God.
    4. The Messiah had to suffer and die as an individual. In addition to Isaiah 53, Psalm 22 is another passage that shows the Messiah suffering and dying. When Jesus cried out "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" when He was dying on the cross, He was also saying that Psalm 22 is talking about me. In the past, the first line of a psalm was its title. So, people would say, "Let's sing "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?"" Jesus' crucifixion matches perfectly to the contents of that psalm, especially in verse 16: ". . . they pierced my hands and my feet." At the time of David, crucifixion wasn't even a means to kill a person. Therefore, it was a prophecy of the way the Messiah would die.
    5. I agree that just because a person was born in Bethlehem or was a descendant of David doesn't mean that he was the Messiah. However, the chances of being the actual Messiah grow smaller with each additional prophecy. Fulfilling one prophecy, like being born in Bethlehem, is not enough to be considered the Messiah, but fulfilling over 25, such as being sold for thirty pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12 and Matthew 26:14-15), the money being cast to the potter (Zechariah 11:13 and Matthew 27:5-7), and being silent before the accusers (Isaiah 53:7 and Matthew 27:12-14), is more than enough to be called the Messiah. As the chances get smaller with more and more prophecies, the clearer it gets that Jesus was the true Messiah.
    6. Why did the Messiah have to be divine, suffer, and die? He had to die for the punishment of our sins. Yet, there are objections that each person has to pay for his/her own sins. The problem is we can't pay enough to cover the cost of our sins! Animal sacrifices used to take a person's sin unto themselves, but God says in Isaiah @-15 that He doesn't delight "in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats" and "it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting." Sacrifices have become an excuse to do more sin and cannot cover sins anymore.
    You may argue that sacrifices won't cover the sins of people who are hypocritically worshipping God, but the fact is we are all hypocrites! Every person is evil and deceitful. As Psalm 14:2-3 states, " The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doth good, no, not one."
    And, as the Law of Moses clearly outlines and our world testifies, the punishment for sin is death, not only physical death but eternal death as well. There is nothing we can do to be forgiven of our punishment, because we are all evil. That means no one will live eternally with God, because He justly must punish all who sinned and the fact is all have sinned.
    But, there was a joyous solution! To have a perfect sacrifice atone for all sins ever committed. The only perfect sacrifice available was God's Son, the Messiah. This explains why the Messiah has to be divine and be born of a virgin, to not have the influence of sin being passed to him through Adam's line. So, the Messiah was the perfect sacrifice, without blemish or spot, and was able to take our punishment and give us eternal life with God.
    Now, you may wonder why would God do that, if He is just? The answer is the most wonderful part of Christianity! The answer is that God is not only just, but merciful, slow to anger, and loving! He doesn't want to see people dying, and that's why He gave up His Son for us! This is just mind-boggling!
    So, if you reject this amazing gift of God, you will be making the worst decision ever, and God just won't have any mercy for you, because You have rejected His ultimate gift of love. But, if you accept the gift, it WILL be the best decision you will ever make!!!
    7. The Messiah will rule the nations and bring all people to worship the one God, as you said. The Messiah is still yet to fulfill all those prophecies of bringing the nations together, returning all the Jews to their homeland, and establishing mount Zion as the place of worship for all people. This will take place at Jesus' 2nd coming. Most of those prophecies mention the phrase "at the end of days." Our days are still going on, so the end has still not come.
    8. I always finish off with "There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent" - Jesus.

      1. First and foremost, the text must be understood in its straightforward meaning, unless it does not make sense or is impossible to reconcile with the rest of the text. We can derive multiple additional lessons from the same verse, but (and I think this is what the Rabbi was referring to) only if it fits with what has already been established by other sources.
      2. Biblical texts like the Prophets and Psalms must be read in context of the surrounding verses. Psalms especially, since it is written in poetic form. Psalms 2:7 is referring to the nation of Israel. This terminology is also found in Exodus 4:22: "So says G-d, 'Israel is My son, My first born.'"
      Similarly in verse 2, "His anointed" doesn't refer to the Messiah. The word "Moshiach" (Messiah), means anointed. We use this word, because the Messiah will in fact be anointed as king of Israel. Thus, he is "the anointed one," which in Hebrew is Hamoshiach. But the word is often used in the Torah to mean anything or anyone that is anointed. (Leviticus 6:15, "And the anointed priest [kohen hamashiach] in his stead, from among his sons shall offer it..." II Samuel 1:14, "And David said to him 'How did you not fear to put forth your hand to slay the G-d's anointed [King Saul]?'").
      Verse 12 is mistranslated. The Hebrew word "bar" means purity. The interpretation of "son" is Aramaic, and David did not write in Aramaic. The verse says "Pay homage in purity, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when suddenly His wrath is kindled. Happy are all they that take refuge in Him." It can also be interpreted as "arm yourselves with purity...," meaning when judgment day comes, your only defense against the wrath of G-d's judgment will be to be pure in your worship of Him (Happy are all they that take refuge in Him).
      Genesis 1:26 is perplexing, but that doesn't suggest G-d was talking to His alter ego. G-d has no physical form. That is clearly established in the second of the Ten Commandments. So necessarily, "our image" must mean something other than simply, let's make a man that looks like us. The "image" portion is easy enough to reconcile, as it is possible to have a non-physical image. G-d created man with with His attributes, meaning He gave us the capacity to emulate Him. He gave us the attribute of mercy, justice, love, anger, morality, etc. The part that says "Let us create..." is commonly interpreted as G-d taking to the angels. Of course, this begs the question, why? Well, one of the attributes He gave us, is kindness. G-d is teaching us to include those below us when making decisions that affect them. We see the same thing in Genesis 18:17, where G-d consults Abraham before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah.
      Psalms 110:1 is again, a mistranslation. "The Lord," when mentioned scripture is not the same the word "lord." One means G-d, and the other means and important man. In Hebrew scripture, G-d's name is generally spelled in a way that does not translate as "lord." But, we are not allowed to pronounce that name (or even write it unnecessarily), so it is translated as "The Lord." Then there is the formal way of referring to someone, as "my lord," just as it was in ancient times in other cultures. Today, the term for "sir" in modern Hebrew is "adoni," which literally translated, is "my lord." But when the guy behind the register at the supermarket calls me "adoni," he obviously isn't suggesting I'm a deity. Getting back to Psalm 110:1, G-d certainly would not tell His Messiah, "Sit at My right Hand, while I make your enemies your footstool." The opposite is true. G-d will send the Messiah to subdue His enemies. The verse is most likely referring to Abraham, whom David refers to as my lord. G-d had assured Abraham victory when he went to war (in Genesis 14: 14-15) to rescue his nephew. This is evident from Psalms 110:4, where G-d says He will not go back on His word, that Abraham's offspring (Israel) will be priests forever "according to the words of Malki-Tzedek." Malki-Tzedek was one of the kings rescued in the war in Genesis 14, "and he was priest of G-d the Most High." (Gen 14:18). When he approached Abraham, he blessed him, and he then he blessed G-d. Abraham corrected him for blessing a human before blessing G-d, and Malki-Tzedek agreed, and gave his position of priest to Abraham.
      I'll try to cover some more of your questions some other time.

      3. You are referring to 7:14, which says, "Therefore G-d Himself shall give you a sign: behold, the young woman (Ahaz' wife) shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." Indeed, the word, which you translate as "virgin," is "almah," which means young woman. This is not a matter of opinion or debate. It is Hebrew. You can't call a cookie a pencil, and then have a discussion about its true meaning. It simply doesn't say or imply anything about a virgin. As to why G-d gives us prophecy about an ordinary birth, you may ask the same question about the many other prophecies about ordinary births. And as you dive into that question, you might discover many wonderful lessons. But your question doesn't make the woman in the prophesy a virgin. As to the name Immanuel, it is a common Hebrew name. And though it means G-d is with us, it doesn't meant the person bearing that name is G-d. Remember, the prophecy says G-d will give a sign to Ahaz. The sign will be that he will have a baby, and his wife will name him Immanuel. This could not have been Jesus, because Jesus was born centuries after Ahaz. Also, look at the verses that follow. By the time he (Immanuel) knows good from bad, the land will east on fat and honey. The lands of the kings that are attacking Jerusalem will become abandoned. The king of Assyria will be defeated, his lands will become desolate. This did not happen in Jesus' time.

    Judaism rejected every prophet God ever sent then hundreds of years after rejecting and killing them they then thought of them highly. They disobeyed Moses repeatedly. They didnt believe Elisha's report of Elijah leaving by chariot of fire. They hated Isaiah, Jeremiah, Hosea, and Joel. They didn't listen to Joshua by not taking possession of the land God gave them. They still are not doing this today. They wanted judges but didn't listen so then wanted kings but would still disobey. They do not believe the Torah for if they did the would see in genesis 1 vs 26 the Trinity. They deny the psalms particularly the 22nd and 110th. They forbid chapters of the Torah like Isa 53 while completely ignoring the 7th an 14th chapters of Isaiah. Daniel 3 tells of a Persian declaring what the Jews deny ever exist.

    I am a Muslim and I believe there is only one messiah, who is Jesus (peace be upon him), the son of Mary and I believe in his return as well. Any messiah other than Jesus is a false messiah, or antihrist. A muslim can not be muslim if he/she does not believe that Jesus christ(peace and blessing be upon him) is the true messiah. In Quran Allah "God" says"And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain." In Mary God Almighty says "Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, "O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste."So she pointed to him. They said, "How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?"[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and zakah as long as I remain alive.And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant.And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive."That is Jesus, the son of Mary - the word of truth about which they are in dispute."

      Native Romania, Jesus's name ( PBUH) was mentioned in Quran 25 times; we have one whole chapter about Mary" (PBUH) where Allah" God Almighty" confirmed her devoutness and purity, which negated the Jew's accusation of fornication. Although Quran did not talk about Jesus's children, we have from Sunna, the narrated Hadith from prophet Mohamed ((PBUH, that upon his return, Jesus(PBUH) he will kill the false messiah and become the leader of believers. He will get married, have children and rule in fairness, peace and blessing that the earth never had before for 40 years and die a normal death. His return is confirmed in Quran. Jesus return is to finish the same message, to worship one God; it is the same message that previous messengers, Abraham, Noah, Moses, ........Jesus, and the seal of messengers Mohammed peace and blessing be upon them all. We believe upon his arrival Jesus (PBUH) will break the cross and ask the people to worship one GOD. The heavenly Almighty God is very very fair in that He will send Jesus (PBUH) again to bring the people to the straight path believing in one God. If Jews people follow their own messiah" Luciferian, one eyed one" other than the son of Mary they would be definitely the chosen ones to go to hell !

      The basic problem with you is what you didnt say, not with what you said. Your Isa is not the Jesus of Christianity, who was seen as Son of God by those who wrote the original story, 600 years before your Quran. Your Isa is not the Jesus that was crucified and died for the sins of humanity, and who was resurrected 3 days later.

      Why do you think Jesus((PBUH) the son of Mary would sacrifice himself and change the message that all the messengers were sent to tell so that you will have no sins. It does not make sense; I am talking about Jesus the son of Mary. The proof that I am talking about the same Jesus is that in Christianly there is a group called themselves unitarian Christians NOT Trinitarians. God says in Quran "(19:88) They claim: "The Most Compassionate Lord has taken a son to Himself." (19:89) Surely you have made a monstrous statement. (19:90) It is such a monstrosity that heavens might well-nigh burst forth at it, the earth might be cleaved, and the mountains fall (19:91) at their ascribing a son to the Most Compassionate Lord." ِAlso Allah says"O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs."

      I do not think anything about this issue. I am not religious. I just said that you dont believe in same Jesus as Christians, although you are in English using the same name. Another problem with Islamic teachings is that you are arrogating something that is not yours. All this prophets were Jews and NOT Muslims. Islam did not exist in those days and your believe that the Kings and prophets of Israel who were born as Jews who worshiped the God of Israel and who observed Jewish religious laws, Jewish holidays and who never herd for the Arabic word of "Allah" for Mecca or for customs you have today, were Muslim is laughable. Its enough to read the 2300 years old Dead Sea Scrolls, to see that this Hebrew speaking Jewish people had as much to do with Islam as date palms with Antarctica. The same goes for holly places. Yet this is another story.

      There seems to be a big misunderstanding about Jesus from the perspective of Jews. He himself was not Catholic, but a Torah observant Jew.
      I just wanted to mention Jesus (his historical Jewish name he was called by was Yeshua- meaning Salvation) was crucified in 33 A.D. by the Roman Empire, and Catholicism was not established until 312 A.D. by the Roman Empirer Constantine. There was 300 years of extreme persecution to Jesus’ Jewish and Greek followers by the Roman Government under Nero, Domitian, Marcus Aurelius, Decius, Trebonianus Gallus, Emperor Valerian, and Augustus Diocletian before Constantine allowed everyone to enjoy religious freedom, and later, he founded Catholicism, the Roman Government’s religion. They might have tried to include it under “Christianity” down the road, but they proudly defied the Bible and proclaimed supremacy over God and the Bible and perverted it completely because of the greed of money. They built sprawling places of ‘worship’ with the money they received by telling their followers that they could pay for a place in heaven, and pay to have their sins forgiven. They certainly did not know or follow Jesus’ teachings, and they went against him in every way. They later forced everyone including Christians, Jews, Romans, and Greeks to become Catholic….or die. They had many inquisitions, including against Jesus’ own people, the Jews. Jesus had no connection with Catholicism, yet many of the world religions were so inspired by his teachings that many wanted to include him in their religion. He, however, included no one. He said “I am the way, the truth and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me.” The New Testiment was written by Jews for Jews showing how Yeshua fullfilled the prophecies of the Torah and Tanakh for the Messiah. He was crucified down to the day Daniel the prophet predicted the ‘Anointed One’ would be cut off from his people. (Daniel 9:26After the sixty-two ‘sevens,’ the Anointed One will be put to death and will have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. )
      The Sanctuary was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. …… 33 years after Yeshua’s crucifixion.
      Jesus is the most famous Jewish Rabbi in history. He taught the Torah in the 2nd Temple in Jerusalem, lived from 4 B.C. to 33 A.D., his 12 disciples were Jewish, he himself was from the tribe of Judah, he observed the Jewish feasts, was crucified on Passover in Jerusalem, the same day the sacrificial lamb was being killed for the sins of Israel. Exactly 2000 years before Jesus was born, in 2004 B.C., Abraham offered his first born son Isaac on the alter on Mount Moriah. God stopped him and said he would provide the sacrifice himself. Abraham looked up and saw a ram with a crown of thorns on his head, caught in a thicket. It was said there of that place, “the Lord will provide.” Exactly 2000 years later, God provided. He sent his one and only Son, Yeshua, to be the sacrifice for not just the sins of Israel, but the sins of the world. Jesus was crucified with a crown of thorns on his head just outside of the city gate of Jerusalem in 33 A.D., on Mount Moriah, in the exact same place Abraham offered his one and only son Isaac. The Roman Procurator Pontius Pilate twisted together a crown of thorns for his head and the soldiers offered him vinegar mixed with gall to drink. They pulled out his beard, spit on him, and flogged him 39 times. They pierced his hands and his feet, and later pierced him in his side with a spear, to make sure he was dead before they took him down from the cross. The Romans wrote a sign above him that read “King of the Jews”. He was given the death of a criminal, -Crucifixion- the most severe punishment executed by the Roman Government, yet was laid in a rich man’s tomb- Joseph of Arimathea laid him in his own tomb cut out of the rock. 2000 years before Abraham was born, Adam was born, in 4004 B.C. and death and sin came to us all from one man. But through one man 4000 years later, the whole world was given a chance for salvation and eternal life through Yeshua, our Salvation!
      Isaiah 49:6
      He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant
      To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the preserved ones of Israel;
      I will also make You a light to the Gentiles
      So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
      Job 16
      10People open their mouths to jeer at me;
      they strike my cheek in scorn
      and unite together against me.
      11God has turned me over to the ungodly
      and thrown me into the clutches of the wicked.
      12All was well with me, but he shattered me;
      he seized me by the neck and crushed me.
      He has made me his target;
      13his archers surround me.
      Without pity, he pierces my kidneys
      and spills my gall on the ground.
      14Again and again he bursts upon me;
      he rushes at me like a warrior.
      15“I have sewed sackcloth over my skin
      and buried my brow in the dust.
      16My face is red with weeping,
      dark shadows ring my eyes;
      17yet my hands have been free of violence
      and my prayer is pure.
      18“Earth, do not cover my blood;
      may my cry never be laid to rest!
      Job did not have his kidneys pierced, and he did not die in this way. He was prophesying about what Jesus would go through.
      Psalms 89
      50Remember, Lord, how your Servant has been mocked,
      how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the nations,
      51the taunts with which your enemies, Lord, have mocked,
      with which they have mocked every step of your Anointed One.
      The world’s oldest book ever written, the Book of Job, gives us a beautiful nugget of insight. Job had the foresight to know that his Redeemer, Jesus lived and that one day He would see him face to face.
      Job 16
      19Even now my witness is in heaven;
      my advocate is on high.
      20My intercessor is my friend
      as my eyes pour out tears to God;
      21on behalf of a man he pleads with God
      as one pleads for a friend.
      Jesus’ lineage was from the house of David. He was born in Bethlehem.
      Micah 5
      2“But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah,
      though you are small among the clans of Judah,
      out of you will come for me
      one who will be ruler over Israel,
      whose origins are from of old,
      from ancient times.”
      ^this “man’s” origin’s were from old, from ancient times
      -this was not just any regular man, but one of heavenly origin.
      Psalms 69

      Kurt Kara reply I am also messed up about being lied to about Santa Easter bunny and all of that I get a ptsd check by the government. I literally went bat crazy but the lord swept me up and I ended up doing witch craft .. the devil didn't empress me at all. However I asked God to reveal himself to me ...the one true God ...and all I gotta say is ask and you shall receive. It may take years of torture lol ha ha and when you figure out it's been God trying to show you the hebrew alphabet in psalm 119 all 22 letters it's all worth it and it's more rewarding than any present mom and dad ever put under tree. The value of all that information and all I had to do was ask.
      Read psalm 119 :105 and pray over it. I pray you have faith the size of a mustard seed. That scripture is my life verse I cannot believe they teach nothing about it in church. All those years of searching for truth. Hearing preachers blab about the most boring sermons. Everything you need to know is in psalm 119.

      @@minimejesus8163 I think I know who you found:) I found him too in that way! He reveals himself to all who ask!!!
      So I met Jesus for the first time at the age of 30, in April of 2021.
      I grew up in a Christian family, knew in my conscience God was real, believed Jesus was the Son of God, believed he died for my sins, went to church for 30 years of my life, and believed I was a Christian, But recently God showed me this was not the case; I had not truly made Jesus the Lord of my life, Satan was my master, and I would have gone to hell had I died. I may have believed in Jesus but I didn’t actually know him and I didn’t follow his commands.
      Looking back, I remember a very specific moment in my teen years when I turned my back on God. I had always known he was there. I had felt loved and pretty close with him in my younger years. But there were some things tugging at my young heart that I wanted to do, and God was standing in the way of them.

      It was almost a physical turning, a small whisper in my head said “surely God won’t see”. I thought I could always repent and reform my ways later! God recently showed me that “later” would have never happened if he hadn’t intervened due to my mothers prayers. Two verses that I recognize from my younger years stand out to me regarding this moment.
      They say, “The LORD does not see.”
      Does he who made the ear not hear?
      Does he who formed the eye not see?
      And
      We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
      each of us has turned to our own way.
      Isaiah 53
      I turned from God so I could pursue my dating life, one where I did not want to remain sexu pure. It spiraled into bad friends, endless parties, a stent in LA, bars, and sexual promiscuity. I hurt a lot of people and threw them away like they were nothing. My pleasure and happiness was top priority and I never thought of other’s happiness and well-being.
      I never read Jesus’ profound saying:
      Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
      My lifestyle left me feeling incredibly empty, I thought “there has to be something more to life than this”.
      At the age of 22 I turned back to God for momentary help one day while walking along a river, feeling empty from the way I had been running my life. I remember telling God “I’m done doing things my way, I’m ready for you to take over.“ It was a reference to my dating life, the thing I had put in front of him years ago.
      Most incredible to look back upon, I met the man who would become my husband - the very next day in church, after my simple prayer for God’s help.
      He was a man that had just come in from South Dakota here to Indiana, where he had coincidentally grown up just one town away from I. He had been working on a cattle ranch in South Dakota and had been praying for a wife. He had no desire to leave the west, but for some reason God was telling him to come back home. With great reluctance, he finally listened. Three months later, -wondering why God had brought him back, God started answering both of our prayers.
      11 month after meeti in church, we were married. I soon forgot about God again and nothing had really changed in my relationship with Him even since that day at the river. The beautiful thing of God bringing Joe into my life was that he was always pushing me closer to God and continually praying for me. God had placed a wonderfully driven man into my life that would encourage me to get serious with God and to become the person I wanted to be.
      Joe and I moved to South Dakota to work on the cattle ranch he had come from, and I saw Gods love on display at our community’s church. they didn’t know us well yet they threw us a baby shower, made cakes and desserts for us, invited us to Easter and thanksgiving, filled our closets with baby clothes, even handmade items just for Tyler. I saw their love and said to myself “this is who I want to be.
      Went down to Arizona for the winter, heard the words that began the true changing of my life. Instead of an alter call, the Pastor simply said “if you want to know God, all you have to do is ask him.”
      What the Holy Spirit was speaking to my heart was “God still loves you and he wants you back”. It was a simple suggestion, and I thought why not, so I told God I wanted to know him. I Prayed it almost in passing and forgot I had spoken those simple words.
      But a month later, God started speaking to me loud and clear, both audibly and in dreams. He started healing areas of my life and weeding out bad habits.
      After a few weeks, he started pushing me towards Jesus, but immediate I felt contempt for him, not really understanding why, but my flesh insisted that I did not want to come to him.
      John 15:25 says “ this was to fullfill their law: ‘They hated me without reason.’
      Jesus said this in reference to Psalms 35 and 69.
      As I was feeling this contempt for Jesus, God nudged me to open up a Bible and I turned to Isaiah 53. My jaw dropped when I realized I was reading about Jesus’ Crucifixion, but in the wrong part of the Bible!!! It was in the Old Testament, not the New Testament, which was completely impossible as Isaiah had been written in 740 BC, 800 years bef the historical life of Jesus, and I had just learned about how the Great Isaiah Scroll from the Dead Sea scroll discovery had been Carbon dated to 356 BC by 4 world-renowned Universities. I saw the impossible transform into the possible in front of my own eyes that day. If Jesus’ Crucifixion and resurrection were foretold in advance of his life, than he truly was the Son of God! The cheesy fairy tale Jesus I had been slightly embarrassed of most of my life suddenly became very real to me in that life changing moment.
      Isaiah 53
      The Suffering and Glory of the Servant
      See, my servant will act wisely;
      he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.
      Just as there were many who were appalled at him -
      his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being
      and his form marred beyond human likeness-
      so he will sprinkle many nations,
      and kings will shut their mouths because of him.
      He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
      nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
      He was despised and rejected by mankind,
      a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
      Like one from whom people hide their faces
      he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
      Surely he took up our pain
      and bore our suffering,
      yet we considered him punished by God,
      stricken by him, and afflicted.
      But he was pierced for our transgressions,
      he was crushed for our iniquities;
      the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
      and by his wounds we are healed.
      We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
      each of us has turned to our own way;
      and the Lord has laid on him
      the iniquity of us all.
      He was oppressed and afflicted,
      yet he did not open his mouth;
      he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
      and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
      so he did not open his mouth.
      By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
      Yet who of his generation protested?
      For he was cut off from the land of the living;
      for the transgression of my people he was punished.
      He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
      and with the rich in his death,
      though he had done no violence,
      nor was any deceit in his mouth.
      Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
      and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
      he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
      and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
      After he has suffered,
      he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
      by knowledge of him my righteous servant will justify many,
      and he will bear their iniquities.
      Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
      and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
      because he poured out his life unto death,
      and was numbered with the transgressors.
      For he bore the sin of many,
      and made intercession for the transgressors.
      The feelings of hatred I had for him left me in that moment. I was so ashamed of the pride and contempt I felt for him while hating him without reason. I remember how it felt almost exactly as if it had been my own mother who had done this for me, the most innocent, kind, and cherished soul in my life, trudging along for my gain and giving up her own life for mine. If there was anyone in my life that reminded me of how gentle Jesus was, it was my mother. And to think I would hate such a giving person without cause was sickening. It’s interesting how God linked the feeling of love I had for her with the love Jesus had for me as I was reading the text of what he had done for me.
      Jesus spoke to my heart and said “I love you even more than she does.”

      @@minimejesus8163 Jesus showed me all the times in my life he had been there with me. The first painful memory was the time in 3rd grade i walked alone behind my friends on the playground because no one wanted to walk with me. Jesus showed me he was right there walking next to me. That moment on the playground marked me and made me feel line a loner for a very long time until Jesus showed how much he loved me. Jesus told me “ as much as i have loved you, love others, because i love them too.”
      Understanding those words changed the course of my life. I had always looked for acceptance and praise from others, but now Jesus was showing me how loved i was. I no longer needed praise from man, and realized my drive in life was to let others know how loved they are by their Creator.

      This Isaiah 53 chapter became my life’s treasure, the day I met Jesus.
      Later on, i was amazed to find out there were 350 other such prophecies pointing to Jesus 1000 years before his life in the Old Testament. What was even more incredible to me was to find out that the keepers of the Torah and Tanakh (Old Testament) was Judaism, the Jews, and they reject Jesus. Yet their scriptures talk about Him and their prophets warned them that they would reject their Messiah. Yet I had also rejected him for a time too. This further proved to me that Christians from the first century did not write these prophecies to make it appear that they were written about Jesus before his time, but that they were indeed written by a religion predating Christianity by 1600 years, Judaism.
      Today there is no people group that I love and cherish more than the Jewish people, as does Jesus, because they are his own. Zachariah 12 talks about his love for them and what he will do for them when he returns when the nation’s come against Jerusalem, as the prophets of the Tanakh prophesied about.
      God kept shoring me in on all sides so I could be left with no doubt for the reality of his existence. In my research i discovered Jesus was an actual historical figure, the most documented man in history, with 92 Roman, Jewish, Greek, and Persian historians from his time writing about him from a secular/ sometimes hostile perspective, however verifying his life and Crucifixion under Pontius Pilate.
      Even though I had read the Bible growing up, I had never taken in this verse about who actually individually made us: Jesus!
      Colossians 1:15The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
      God showed me that Jesus is God himself. In an argument with the Jews of his day, he spoke these words:
      John 10:24
      If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
      25Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
      God also made the reality of hell very real to me, that I would have gone there at any point in my life had I died. Not only did the Bible say it was in the center of the earth, I had to hear that science also backs this up,, with scientists saying the earths core is 12000 degrees f.
      I woke up one morning to the sickening realization that hell would have been my eternity, it was the first thought I had when I openly eyes, such a heavy realization came over me, it was certainly from God. That night as I layed down, I heard the words “he’s tell the truth”. I had never heard God speak to me before at that point in my life, so I didn’t know what it meant or where it came from. I soon fell asleep but woke up right away again, restless. I started scrolling through CZcams and Bill Wiese’ vision of hell started playing. I was horrified by what he experienced! About half way through I started doubting he could have experienced this and then God spoke again, “he’s telling the truth.” Now I understood what those words had meant. There was so much more to hell than what I realized, and now I have heard so many more peoples’ stories of hell from their near death experiences…
      Bill Weise’ vision “23 minutes in hell” changed my life to this day. I do not want anyone to go there and neither does God. Jesus went there and took our punishment for sins so we didn’t have to go there. It’s our choice who we follow, Jesus or Satan.
      I read 1John 3:6 “No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him. 3We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.
      And “God does not show favoritism.”
      I had always felt that God favored me because I grew up in a Christian home.

      @@minimejesus8163 2 Samuel 14 says
      he devises ways so that a banished person will not remain banished from him.
      Jesus is not mad at any one of us, it is a joy for him to redeem us. I owe him my life for opening up my eyes and changing the course of my life.
      Jesus opened up my eyes to his love for me:
      Psalms 139:
      17How amazing are your thoughts concerning me, God!
      How vast is the sum of them!
      18Were I to count them,
      they would outnumber the grains of sand on the sea-
      4Before a word is on my tongue
      you, Lord, know it completely.
      … All the days ordained for me were written in your book
      before one of them came to be.
      Individually, that is hard to really take in, but it is the changing of a life. Jesus told me that he is the love of our life and we are the love of his!
      I was amazed by how I truly didn’t know Jesus’ commands, and that I needed to love others, or else I didn’t truly know him. I needed to love others, because he loved them just as much as he loves me. Realizing that, it truly changed the course of my life! I used to dislike many people and have much pride in my heart, elevating myself over others.
      1 John 4:19
      19We love because he first loved us. 20Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
      Jesus removed that hate, and put immense love in my heart, knowing eternity was the ultimate concern for all of us, not whether I had a nicer house or car than everyone else. Jesus went to hell and took the punishment that we deserved for our sins. If we believe in him and obey his commands, we can escape hell because he provided the only way out, he was the only one to pay our sin debt. If we reject him, we will be rejected from his kingdom. But it is not his desire that even the wicked perish. He loves us individually and we are his creation.
      Ezekiel 18
       21“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 22None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
      “Do into others as you would have done to you, because what you do to others will be done to you.” Heaven and hell is the reality for all our futures. Anyone who asks the Creator who he is will not be disappointed, he answers all who call on him.

      any who seek God.
      Acts 17
      26From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28‘For in him we live and move and have our being.
