When Khloe said jackfruit's seeds were like 'embrio'. Can't wait her reaction that those 'embrio' can also be boiled and eaten. The texture after being boiled is mealy; similar to baby potatoes or chestnut.
In Javanese the seed is called beton (literal translation of concrete), I have no idea why it's called like that.
I assume since the seed is a very good source of iron, protein, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory compounds, fiber, etc which make you healthy & strong. Or maybe it's also believed the seeds have an aphrodisiac effect and may increase libido; make you hard as concrete? 🤭🤭
Regardless, I love having the boiled seeds as snack or in my stir-fry vegetables.
I live in the Philippines and we have a lot of jackfruit in our country and we also cook their seeds it taste so good

Jack fruit is called kathal in Hindi it is cooked as a vegetable here in India it is also a really good substitute for pork and has a similar taste when cooked as a vegetable so as a vegan I cook Jack fruit all the time and also the seed is boiled and eaten...
