They are Canon for a reason and Star Cross-lovers... Aerith is really a princess in Disney too. Wreck in Ralph already hint of Aerith "AERITH LIVES" its matter of AERITH a completely the most important and well never forget female character and a herione in FF history game....
KH is a big reason why I prefer Clerith over Cloti and Zerith. Sora and Kairi are the canon couple in that game and in every world, he finds another couple that reminds him of himself and Kairi (ex.: Beast and Belle, Sally and Jack, Jasmine and Aladdin, etc.). Cloud and Aerith were always the two paired together.
The significance of holding hands with fingers interlocking (not sure how accurate it is) but they state "two people intertwining their fingers while holding hands is called 恋人つなぎ (koibito tsunagi, “lover’s connection”) in Japanese culture." And not only does that happen on their date, it happens at the end of the final battle and is the trophy picture for completing said chapter.
not even just that, but it's been their motif since OG and AC, with Aerith always reaching out to Cloud in times of need 😭 and then Remake always had them touching hands every second possible...
@@N4mkji_ Yes that too! Aerith is also confirmed with Cloud "lovers" stated by Square Enix and Nojima. That interview was 2005 in November, two months after the book Ultimania Omega came out. Tifa and Cloud up until this day is stated to be "Friends" with Cloud.

Just....just wow. A lot of this kind of went over my head during my playthrough (and I had the Aerith date both times so never saw any of the Tifa cutscenes) but this really does show either Cloud being VERY over protective of Aerith and as well as jealous in his own socially awkward way.

The different over Aerith and Tifa when it comes to cloud is that... CLOUD Likes and loved Aerith alot; whilst Tifa shes just one sided Cloud doesn't loved her back and thats hurt. Tifa dnt need a so called word "DESERVES BETTER" coz in the 1st place they aren't tgtr to begin with. Tifa really needed to let go that not just feeling but the character of her as a game yknow.. One thing I really dnt like her ever since bcoz of that FEMCEL character,, typical toxic behavior ever since.
No, they keep referencing this scene as some sort of proof that Cloud never loved or was interested in Aerith and only ever had eyes for Tifa because he kisses her in this scene. But it's so unromantic and clearly fan service.

It's not jealousy. The read Cloud is very empathetic. How could he be at ease dating the girlfriend of his deceased comrade ? That's why he doesn't express more feelings. Guilt is the burden he carries. He cares so much about others and all his loved ones died.

I got all the Aerith dates so I did not get some of these scenes. I find it amusing that even when Tifa is picked for the GS date, he still asks about Aerith... when Tifa says no... Cloud be like "May as well see this to the end" and goes for the kiss. This whole Aerith or Tifa choice in the game is clever because normally it would force you to play the game multiple times to see everything, but we have CZcams... so...

If Aerith ever meets the real Cloud then we would know how they both feel. I mean a more or less normal Cloud that's at least making progress with his PTSD and a living breathing Aerith that can laugh, cry and get angry. According to legend, true love always finds it's way, but we all knows it can only happen if both people work very hard to make it work, crafting their love story and fate with their own efforts. It's also true that in order to build something new, something old has to die...So whatever illusive thing Clerith had during the game that was based on complicated interrelational conundrums, like mixed memories and feelings, Cloud, Zack, Sephiroth and Jenova the competition with Tifa, Aerith's death and Cloud's sickness...this all has to go.

Guys this kind of scares me I have a feeling the Arieth and Cloud shippers might be right though I mean yes Tifa has some moments with Cloud, which I hope he eventually loves her. But I have a bad feeling Cloud loves Arieth and since there is a possibility in the new game he will end up with her. The kiss of Cloud and Tifa I loved. But sadly Arieth is Popular in Japan I have a feeling that kiss was just to make us feel like we win but in the end we will have the most heart break. I don't like where this is going. In every scene he has a deep connection with Arieth. Meaning he must of moved on crushing on Tifa. Guys just don't get your hopes up. It's better to know now before we all shatter in heart break if these too never end up together. Ps Namora and Nijmora are Japanese they definitely gonna make Cloud steer to Arieth. Since Arieth is very popular there. I think the Kiss was just to throw us off. So when we do get angry namora just gonna say. Something like Tifa and Cloud would not work out and explain why Arieth is the girl all that and stuff I'm not going to get my hopes up just for me to be sad. There's no evidence that Cloud still likes Tifa at this moment. I'm calling it now hes gonna make Cloud become a couple with Arieth. I'm just sad thinking about it. We can't deny the signs in the game the connection he has with Arieth look so real that it scares me. Guys just pray that Tifa dosent feel left out in the end of the game and hopefully she ends up with Zack. I prefer them anyways. Zack was way better. He's my favorite. Im sorry. I dont know what to say to make you feel at ease. At least, you have the options of choosing Tifa as your romance, for example doing quests with her, dates, high affection points, etc. I am a clerith but I do see the chemistry between Cloud and Tifa.
Tbh, I see Tifa more with Zack too. Zack is confident and loyal and hes a hero, just someone who Tifa needs in a man. But then I think about Cissnei and shes been watching over his parents and village all these years! Ahhhhhh! So many ships xD I do hope there is someone for Tifa.

It’s rare to see a Tifa’s fan come on a Clerith video and be mature about the ship situation. I don’t want to give you false hope about who Cloud will end up but there are a lot of hints with the Loveless play, since Rosa wields a magical staff like Aerith does and NPTK song about reuniting at our place. I did play Crisis Core and Zack is amazing character and look at how sweet he is with Marlene someone Tifa loves. I am happy to see Clerith’s commenting on your post and not making fun. I hope the final game will put an end to this shipping war because it gets quite out of hand where people personal attack each other. Having said that I am a Clerith and I am hoping Cloud will end up with Aerith, but if Cloud does, I will hope Tifa will end up with someone as amazing as Zack because I think his interaction with Marlene was sweet, the way she sticked her tongue out at him made me laugh.
Sadly Aerith is popular in Japan? Yeah, you better get used to it and really lower your hopes for real. Because Clerith was always the official couple. In addition to the games, devs, books and music already showing this, official marketing is 100% Aerith and Cloud. Only in the West this senseless fight exist.
