I just discovered Puerto Penasco today on Google maps. I got excited! Glad to see this video!
Chill out, so they cleaned your windshield I'm sure they needed it and if you give them a quarter they're more than thankful, I bet they did a good job. Man haven't you ever been down and out.
I have to disagree, considering the simple fact that he was even speaking spanish and they still didn't respect their space. Maybe he didn't want them that close to his car considering his whole family was in the car and they weren't listening. I truly understand where you come from but at the same time it is his car and his family.
If they can't cope with street windshield washers they might as well drive right out of Mexico, because they are on every stop light.

It's pretty common to have folks that offer to clean your glass on your vehicle here. Also, some sell trinkets and what not. They just trying to make some pesos..we all got to eat.. 💯 love

I watched another video and they suggested always donate a small amount to the disabled and window washers while driving through that border crossing. They stated cops and others target Americans that don’t donate. Have no idea if it’s true or not.
When I was there in the 80s the border was a chain link fence with a big hole in it

I am seeing online you don't need a permit for your car which is that "temporary import sticker (TIP)" as it's on the free zone for Mexico but I see online that they do require the visitor permit (FMM) does Mexico check for that or is there no checkpoint or anything else before getting to Puerto peñasco ?

If you go in more than 100 km which is like 90 miles in you need a visa. Almost never enforced but if you run into a crooked cop he will try to extort you for it.
Nice video but you can't run them over show respect you are in there country and that's the way they greet you. If you tip it's nothing 1 dollar or 2 dollars which is nothing.

Both times my daughter and her family went they got stopped right across the border in the town. They paid the officer money and he let them go. One officer said if you don’t pay you are going to jail. Haven’t been back since

No not at all. ID and birth certificate is okay to have to. I only showed mines because I’m used to it. But my friend who took us back in October was driving and showed only her drivers license and they wanted to see everyone’s ID’s and birth certificate in the car. So that’s how I know. This time the officer didn’t care to see anyone else’s ID but mines so I was really shocked. But yes girl you good to go 😜

My passport just expired. Does this mean I’ll be able to get across the border still with just a Birth Certificate and ID. Just want some extra clarification before I have to book my trip.
Yes, birth certificate and ID is all you need. 🙂
I’ve actually crossed with my expired passport about 4 times. I always have my Drivers license too tho just in case
If you are driving all you will need is birth certificate and drivers license.

Hello, I am looking at going to Puerto Penasco on a scouting trip as a possible place to retire. I have been looking at what documents are needed to enter Mexico.... Drivers License, car registration, proof of car insurance, passport something called an FMM card and I have seen nothing about also showing a birth certificate, is this really required? any info would be appreciated thx for the video.
If you do not have a passport you can substitute your birth certificate instead I hope this helps🙂
Mexico insurance is also required just in case your in an accident while in Mexico or you’ll go to jail

Great question, so what happened was, when we got close I decided to drive since I was the only one with a passport and was not sure what they required, but as you can see they never asked for the passport coming or going.

If you are driving through Arizona I suppose you don’t but you will need your birth certificate.
If you plan on flying you will need your passport.

useless checkpoint on vehicles exiting the usa. Used to be, one just drove right up the mexican border station and moved on.

And no, it wasn’t the Nogales border that border is going toward Tucson I believe this border is coming from Phoenix toward San Diego if that helps any, just Google map yourself from Phoenix to puerto penasco and it will give you directions. Good luck!
IT is not the nogales border crossing. IT Will be a good idea if they mention the names of the cross border towns.

Careful, if your in Puerto Penasco and you get in an accident with no insurance, you will go to jail till all damages are paid. Everybody goes to the Police Station till they can work it out, if there's an accident.
