It is a lovely place. That said, 21 years ago, we moved from San Francisco to Boston for a senior faculty job at Harvard. We were taken over and over to Lexington, and told "most of faculty lives here" and yes, there is a bike trail from Lex to Cambridge. But Boston area traffic is awful. And was then. It is 100% a suburb. It is wayyy outside of Boston. Make sure you pay close attention to what you need. We ended up in Brookline (by luck) a 20 min, walk to Fenway park, 20 min, Bike to Cambridge. BUT, from Brookline Village, 45 minutes by car to Harvard. If you want to walk to coffee etc. Lexington, at least for us, was a Nope.
That's totally valid! I don't blame you for getting tired of the drive, and yes it's definitely a very different lifestyle out in the suburbs compared to the city! Going into the city suddenly becomes very inconvenient when you get out to the suburbs
How long is the walk from Brookline to Roxbury?...or should I say from Roxbury to Brookline?
@@bobdroll6381 it depends on which part of Roxbury, and which part of Brookline. We live close to Longwood hospitals, in Brookline Village. It would be less than a half-hour to Roxbury crossing, depending on your pace. Or, you could take the 66 bus.

@@bobdroll6381 My cousin lives in Roxbury with his wife and two children. They love it there. Like any other urban get crime in Brookline Village too. Roxbury is great, as is Jamaica Plain.
My hometown!! Lexington is honestly the perfect place to live other than the high cost of living lol Wilson Farm is one of the coolest places to go shopping at anytime of the year! ESPECIALLY during Halloween-Christmas!
Love that!! I agree Wilson Farm is such a fun place; I love the way it smells inside during the holidays
Lexington has SO MUCH history and so many things to do here. It defnitely has a small town feel to it. Wilson Farm is AMAZING!! There are SO MANY things to choose from and farm fresh everything right at your fingertips!
