That roof probably *can* come off, but I highly doubt it's *intended* to. Probably just an assembly thing and design coincidences rather than a special feature. Yeah, it seems having six axles just isn't feasible anymore. It's a real shame, but I think they made RV There Yet work pretty well with those limitations. Always love seeing fantasy casting appreciation, there's no need to be apologetic! Get loud! Ohhh, I love seeing matching decos like that! Super cute. Really cool to see decos homaging other ones, too. The first episode of Let's Race is already out on CZcams if you wanna take a look! And yeah, these decos are all technically reissues, but they're more like recreations. RocketFire (not from AcceleRacers btw) seems to be in a paler gold and the tampos look a little different, there's some different wheels used, differences in tampo shades, little things like that. I do wish Hot Wheels would do proper reissues more regularly, honestly, but I guess that's what the multipacks are for.

They are removing more and more metal from models, but I don’t mind as long as the plastic is incorporated nicely into the design 🏁
I saw the Let's Race toon. It's really kid oriented. I don't like the look of the characters at all. I wish it had been more like Highway 35, but it's still cool to see the cars in action.

It's good to know that the skull crusher glows in the dark, I bought that 5 pack at normal price and I was already regretting not waiting for it to be on sale when the 5 packs of fantasy cars always hang in Mexico, but for that feature It's worth what I paid.
My must have 5 pack is the HW Gettaways. Loving the color on The Vanster. Been years since I've seen that casting. I only have the white and the blue one from 2014, and one with the Vision. . Those Palm Trees on the side remind me a little of The Orange GMC Motorhome. Vintage casting from the 80's. Surf Crate has always been all metal. One of the last castings still rolling from 2000. The one change was the removable surfboard. I have many versions including the pink TH from last year. Loving this new design. New color on RV There Yet makes it look kinda menacing. Nice change from the lighter colors it has had. Surf N Turf looks fantastic in that Metallic Ice blue shade. I have every version so far. That's the kind of Toon casting I like. Big Motors and exhaust pipes not just a squished up car. The wave on the side almost makes it look like shark teeth. Same thing with Time Attaxi. I have them all. That one rides on Brazilaian colors. Metal part on window has always been there. I customize words like "taxi" ,,"no freebees", My name, etc.... Thanks for the showcase.
The hot wheels lets race 5 pack is a must get for me, purely only because of the Twin-Mill re-release in its iconic color! also at 10:27, i think its supposed to reference the "WOOO" cartoon troll face that used to be so popular back then.
The 5 Pack Let's Race cars have all been in the Mainline. IT would be cool to get that pack with those cars strictly for exhibition. I stopped collecting Matchbox this year because the price of Hot Wheels mainlines went up, and since those are my main focus, I'm only picking up a Matchbox here and there that I really like. Mostly the old Coupes they have been releasing.
Switzerland is flooded with pegwarmers.... Everywhere you go, you see a lot of Ice Shredder, Wheelie Chair, Armadillo, Brick and Motor, Kick Kart, Dessert Drifter, Dragging Waggon, Surf's Up, Head Gasket and Batmobiles.... Really annoying.... Since 2 years 😢😢😢
It’s the same way here in the US too - the licensed castings fly off the shelves while most fantasy castings sit and sit. Luckily it seems like stores will restock once they get to a low count of product, but some of those fantasy castings have been known to linger for years at some store chains 😫
@@64Wheels Yeah exactly... 3 weeks ago, some models of the 2024 A Case arrived. They were gone immediately.. And the garbage was still there. I mean, does mattel really sell a lot of those crap castings? It doesnt look that way in switzerland. Mattel also regurgitates the same models over and over again.. Just in different colours... 10 years ago, this was not the case, and there was way more variety among the models
They do make several track-centric 5-packs still, some of them haven’t come out yet though as we’re still in early 2024 - so we’ll probably see some more track themed sets show up throughout the year. I’m going to try and do an unboxing of them when they do get released too 🏁
The UK is a joke trying to collect Hot Wheels and Disney Cars, where i live they basically stopped selling Disney Cars and if you find hot wheels outside of the singles it's rare and Matchbox is basically impossible, i just gave up and started to collect 1/18 cars instead.
Man that’s too bad. I will say the whole diecast market has drastically changed since 2020 as even in the States the offerings and availability wildly vary. 1/18ths are cool though - I have probably a dozen and use to have more but stick with 1/64 bc of the cost and space.

Surf Crate has always been Surf Crate, the Surf & Turf is the Mercury Wagon casting, so there are two surf-named cars in this 5-pack!
