#victorwembanyama #wembanyama #spurs - Sport
Do you see Victor Wembanyama entering the All-Time Top 30? Top 20? Top 10?
His ceiling is Top 10 maybe higher he just has to stay healthy
Yes in a couple of years or so
His ceiling is GOAT, his rock bottom is Giraffe on skates 😂
i am affraid to say this spurs van need to hope he stayes healthy
Hold your horses, he's a 19 year old who's not even been drafted yet. There are literally hundreds of NBA legends, it's waay to early to throw around such ridicilous all time predictions. Edit: And I'm saying this as a Spurs fan.
Also, reportedly, Duncan, Parker and Ginobili have agreed to come to San Antonio often to help Victor in his development on and off the court. That is probably scarier than Pop being his coach...
Wemby is gonna be a big 3 fusion
There knowledge and the fact that they will spend their spare time to help Victor come along faster is amazing!!!
They all live here still. Ginobili is head of player development , Duncan hangs around the facility. I can't wait . My anxiety has been up.
Parker ? Are you sure ? Because there is some friction between Wemby and him. Wemby left Asvel, the Parker's club in France, and Parker didn't like this at all.
@@gaimbz4398 no Stop lying, Parker even congratulated Wemby when Spurs drafted him.
I wouldn't be mad at boring bball lol. I loved watching our boys when everyone called them boring. It was when it was most beautiful.
The fact that u left Hakeem of the list breaks my heart. I think he made his first all nba team in either his first or second season
Honestly I would be absurdly happy if Wemby incorporates a bankshot in his game. It would be like Wemby carrying on Timmy's legacy and it would also mean that he doesn't care for the theatrics and worries more about winning.
He has a turnaround bank-shot already, does that count? 😅 Not as robotic as Timmy’s straight forward bank shot but I’d say the legacy continues… ☺️
@@Peroriperora that does count i think timmy also did that multiple times throughout his career
U fuckn preach dawg...vato doesn't know tf he's talkn about.....boring? 😅
Theree mad cause they can't even make a free throw let alone a bank shot!
He's actually the second youngest player in Metropolitans 92, his teammate Bilal Coulibaly is 18
Hope the Spurs will draft him at 33
It makes sense because we stop growing at 21 so, his best physique and less likely to be injured
Watching Victor play will be even more satisfying than seeing Lakers getting swept. ❤
😂
Kristaps Porziņģis 2.0? no one will care about him an year later🤣🤣
@Athxdya ironicly they got swept too by an eight seat
@@darthtrekus5763 not swept
Celtics fan, you lost to the heat😂 Only saying lakers getting swept is satisfying because you mad Celtics lost.
Love how you started the video indeed the Basketball Gods have spoken San Antonio was the only franchise worthy of a talent of this nature I would love to see Pop move in to the front office but Pop Predecessor is absolutely crucial for Victor because he needs somebody who he can trust Him and Pop are going to be clique tight no matter what,The Luka Vs Wemby rivalry is going to be Godly

Nah, just wait, I bet you luka is gonna be a spur too, just wait😈
@@suburbangeorge8697 not a chance luka is a win now guy
@@jadynberry2741 yeah talk to me in 4 years when the spurs are win now and luka is in his prime😈 slow grind but this ain’t the process
KG, Dirk and AD are power forwards, not centers - they especially weren't centers when they first entered their primes.
If he developed Duncan bank shot, its over. Like who could stop em?
Gimme a Timmy bank and a Kareem skyhook!
Injuries and bad mentality can only stop him.GO SPURS
@@julien957 bad mentality is negligible since the dude is just physically gifted. Injuries tho will plague him for his whole career
Anyone with muscle mass
Duncan was the only man I know that had banks open sundays 😂😂😂
spurs scary time pop gonna develop this guy like crazy
I believe so too I think papa will be the coach until he wins a championship when he wins a championship pops going to leave
At this point I feel bad for him.The amount of pressure on this guy is unreal.Hope he lives up to the expectation we all have😅😅
its not fair if he play bad the same peaple will e callin him abust its not faire to put this pressure on a kid
If Victor scores 40 every game banking I could care less. Bring it we ready
Victor gonna develop like Giannis but he's actually able to shoot as well.
It's scary to say the least!
Imagine you're on a fast break and then wemby comes out of nowhere and just slaps it out of your hands
@@pixelperfect- This hype merchant will never be a superstar or even better than porzingis. Come back here when im proven right
@@Pandemonium95 let's see if you proved the NBA wrong.
More like KD
Kristaps Porziņģis 2.0? no one will care about him an year later🤣🤣
Being able to develope here in SA given that it is low key and not NY, LA or any major market will be huge in terms of controlling his exposure to outside pressure. He can be super insulated as he develops psychologically and emotionally and delay any unforseen incidents. With those factors well in hand he can be molded into the best version of himself.
Wemby could make an All NBA team his first year. That's the level of talent he has. All he needs is the Spurs to finish in the playoffs and people will give it to him

45% Field goal
@@Emma-dh1lx you could not be more wrong with that line of stats 😂 1. ProA Basketball games are 40 minutes long (compared to the 48 minutes games in the NBA)
2. He already has a deadly mid-range jumper, a shit load of moves around the basket, so he’ll score the same baskets in the NBA
3. The French PROFESSIONAL Top league is probably one of the most defensive leagues in Europe.
4. No 3-second rule so bigs are allowed to sit in the paint all night
5. Well… Take all these 4 previous points into account and you’ll see his average for his first year be AT LEAST 22, 12, 3, 2.5, with maybe - I’ll give you that - a so-so efficiency as for his turnovers and the field goal % the first one or two years he’s in the league.
Hate all you want but the only thing that could stop him is injuries… Praying that nothing serious ever occurs to him. He does all his physical prep and has a physical therapist dedicated just to… his feet. That speaks volumes…
But hey you can just keep hating if you want 😅

He's averaging 21 in France, right now!
Just look at college, Anthony Davis, into the NBA.
13.ppg his rookie season.
He's destined to average 14ppg being completely raw on offense.
The funniest thing about Wemby is that when he dunks he barely jumps. Like his hands are already at the rim
This kid under Pop...theres gonna be a reign of terror unleashed on the league when Pop gets this boy ready READY.
This guy might actually be different. Just the way he moves is much more fluid than other physically imposing players before him that were touted to have “guard skills”. I’m very interested to see this young man’s career play out.
Lets goooooo new video! I love the wembenyama vids
Wembanyama my bad
@@jojosuper6658 don't feel bad, it's almost as difficult as spelling Antetekounmpo correctly. 😅😂
@@dvdv8197 Don’t worry I’ m french and it’s difficult to ! 😅
Great video, great content and absolutely spot-on on Pop past tendancy to control his players too much.
Wemby is coachable but at the same time he is a 7'5 Steph Curry meaning you need to let him loose and understand he needs some freedom to best express his talent.
I hope older (and former military) Pop will acknowledge that and wont scream at Victor and keep him in a box all the time like he used to do with young Tony Parker for instance.
i think pop knows when and whom to let loose. said things to the effect of “we‘ll just let him do what he does” about Manu and Sochan
As a Spurs fan, I laughed at your last bit of the video. Whatever it takes, baby! Boring bank shots and titles are ok with me!
If he plays to entertain, then he should be a Globetrotter.
As a Spurs fan, I'm as excited as the next person about drafting Wemby. That said, I think the comparison of KD and Giannis is pretty unfair and not that accurate. He does have some great individual skills for someone his age and height, but he's not at a KD level offensively, the only commonality is being able to shoot off the dribble as a taller player. And he's nowhere near the offensive power player Giannis is, literally no one is. Personally, I view him as a taller, slightly more skilled Porzingis with a potential Gobert defensive skill set. If he can maximise these comps alone and stay healthy, with serviceable playmaking skills from the perimeter and the post, that is more than enough to justify his potential value and have a wonderful career.
No fucking shit lol, he’s 19
The scary truth is that most big men 7 foot + are injury prone and their average shelf life in the league is not long at all. So, Spurs have a very small window to win with him. While he’s young and if he stays healthy, he should be good for a while, but I won’t be surprised if he misses games like Zion.
Even if this guy doesn’t pan out the Spurs have a trillion 1st rounders coming their way in the coming years.
@@patrickmosley9456 True, yes they do
Kristaps Porziņģis 2.0? no one will care about him an year later🤣🤣
@@MiaKaiser-c5y Tend to agree with you, highly likely he’s a bust, or just never lives up to the hype.
He already has a ton of injuries stress fracture, lower back muscle tear, shoulder injury. Once those dude starts dealing with foot problems it’s a wrap. Plus they want him to put on weight. He’s 7’12” and weighs 215 lbs.
i am affraid to say this spurs van need to hope he stayes healthy
As a Spurs fan, you are 100% correct
Nice video
God please don’t let Wemby have a terrible injury I’m begging you
The only things that's for certain is the Spurs have a ton of draft capital for these next coming years and they also have a lot of cap space. I'm mostly excited for those 3 unprotected 1st rd Hawks picks that come over starting in 2025. All of those assets are going to seriously expedite the Spurs' transition into a serious contender by putting all the necessary pieces around Wemby, it is a legitimate possibility where the Spurs can trade away some younger talent combined with draft picks for an MVP level player AND also sign another MVP player to build around Victor...
2 unprotected, 1 swap
@@3KRacing I mean it's still technically an unprotected 1st if the Spurs choose to do the swap
If Victor played like Jokic, then the Spurs may enter a Playoff Final definitely unless it beats the Nugget first. Victor is a very intelligent person who has an opportunity to learn from him. If Victor is capable to be a playmaker, then he would be unstoppable like Jokic did because he is good in 3pt shooting.
Them Big Ol' women down there in San Antonio gon make sure Wemby will pack those essential pounds.
🥇 just gotta feed him some churros!
@@e.r3196 he gon be double fistin churros down there
Not sure how much pop was involved in the admiral’s development but I’m sure he did a lot for him in the big picture. He spent all four years and then two extra before playing for several coaches before pop was an assistant
Bob Hill was there with Robinson before pop.
The Spurs are back in business!
It'll just depend on health i think. Spurs gotta come up with a plan to keep them legs healthy
Man I hate draft time 🤦🏾♂️😂😂 I just want the players to play. Tired of the talking.
I just hopes his trainer helps him out on gaining muscle to help alleviate injuries. It would be nice to see a battle of the bigs.
Tbh, Robinson was the same size, just he left to the navy and got jacked lmao
All about injuries for him
6:37 - Robinson did not become a superstar at 22. As you said earlier, he was drafted at 22, and started playing at 25. That said, it looks like 22 is the magic age for superstardom. Wemby is 19 and will turn 20 in January, so he'll turn 22 in his sophomore year. Still, I think he's an early bloomer and will make the all-star team as a rookie.
If Victor Wenbenyama stay healthy in NBA career no doubt another dominant players it's coming
great video as usual. but sheeHEEsh, you need a new catch phrase.
hi there,
nice video as usual.
I'm glad that Wemanyama will be under Big Pop.
As far as I saw from the media coverage and the talent enhancement (lack of) in many of the league's clubs, the Spurs are the perfect destination.
If he was to be drafted elsewhere, he would turn into a bust in a blink, or at least will get in the injuries/ load management thing, anyone remember the " UNICORN"?
The kid will do great in my opinion, but I hope he will just ignore the media/ hype/ lifestyle and concentrate on Pop's instructions/ guidance + basketball. Glad he's educated and acts older than his age.
In addition, I expect he will really shine in his 2nd year, and the Spurs will be in title picture within 4 years (if the team was build around him in Spurs style).
About top 30/20/10, it's so early to even consider that, he has yet to hoop in an NBA court, but if built in a Duncan/ KD/ Giannis combination, he'll be in the next top 100 anniversary team in the least.
Thanks and take care.
3:28 he does this against the team that finished 3rd in the Euroleague this year , SCARY ^^
Hope he stays healthy 🤗 such a hybrid player. Can't wait to see him play.
We'll see how he do in the NBA everybody is the best player until they get to the NBA
They calling Jokic boring now
Sure, Victor is amazing.
But what's even more amazing, is that Lakers got swept! ❤
Sweet justice.

TBH though id rather watch wemby do bank shots..its nice to see they incorporate old boring style but effeciently effective bball rather than shoot 3's all game...they already have sochan to do rodman stuff...its boring but if thats the effective rout why not?
Tim and the admiral should train wemby..oh that would be devastating for the other teams

GO SPURS GO!! We’re coming back in a big way
When 2026 rolls around we are gonna see alot of Spurs Vandwagonners
It’s already started 😂 all of a sudden people are spurs fans “again”. Even here in the city there is a theater calling these people out 😂
This channel gona be a Spurs channel
Worth a risk but honestly wait and see
Love my Spurs 🥰
People sleeping on Shaq being drafted
The centers are back
The 2010s was so many pgs
The meta has changed
Wemby's weakness is health bcuz his body is going to have hard times to overcome the physicality of the league. they better interest more about his durability, his longevity, his availability bcuz the key of success at this NBA level is his health, not his ceiling 🤔
Something about Victor’s eyes just looks like a young Tim Duncan. Scary
I'd take a "boring" bank shot for 5 championships!
I agree with what Jalen Green said about Victor, he still gotta put in that work no matter what team he joins. 🚀
"He was playing in a league with fully grown men..."
Pretty sure he was the most fully grown man in that league 😅
these super lenghty skinny skillful guys never end well, its the knees they eventually take a toll and it happens earlier than in most athletes. He reminds me of Porzingis
This MFr took 9 mins to say Spurs are boring. So pay attention to Spurs games and you won’t be bored/surprised when they win. 5rings and people still say this stuff.
People are idiots..the real fans are it
I just hope this guy doesn’t get hit with injuries that prevent him from playing
ONE thing wanna clarify with you mentioned the 5 championship is nothing related with Dejoute Murray.
And the Spurs have several more first round picks. Also they have more cap space than anybody, also if that were not enough. They are also building a new enormously practice fa that will be the best in the NBA.
Yes they have 11 first rounders till 2027
Hopefully he has a long healthy career.
we put way to many hopes for some who have not stepped foot nbacourt yet
There's a picture of him with Mbappé, dude is huge
03:37 Travis Leslie did that too long time ago and he is 6"4'
If boring gets u titles and wins I prefer boring.💯😂🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 Let's go..✌️
...Let's hope he lives up to the hype.
yall be Riden this man
I’m so early it says no views
If he doesn’t bulk up this off season, he is going to be out of his first season due to injury. He needs to be more than strong enough to be able to handle his height. Gotta be David Robinson and not Yao Ming. Follow the footsteps of Giannis. But as of right now, dude looks like he’ll snap after one slightly bad contact play.
I seen a highlight where he gathers just inside the 3 point line and dunks the ball 😳
against top 3 team in euroleague 😱
this expectations we put on him is not fair at all
We could only hope that victor becomes just like tim. The greatest powerforward of all time
As a baseball fan all this hype is making me remember what happened when Ohtani was coming to the MLB.
CHAMPIONSHIP SEASONS ARE NEVER BORING!
Tim Duncan is supposed to be training him that’s so unfair lol
2:25 isn’t bilal coulibaly younger? Last night I’m pretty sure they said he was the youngest in the draft. I could be wrong
FInally a SUPERSTAR is coming!
Plot Twist: I do want the "Bank Shot" back 😉
Everything is great but 3:20 is crazy.
There is already one Duncan (called Sochan) in Spurs team. I don't think they gonna need another one :D
I won $500 on spurs, getting the number 1 pick. I get $1000 if they draft Victor. I have made this bet since October 2022. I'm a Detroit Pistons fan, too.
So it was you 😮😮
He also won best young player and was the rebounding champ
Jaylen Brown your next video Hoop Reports 🙏🙏🙏
for french player it isn’t typical to go to college to ball as it doesn’t exist
When did pop start coaching David Robinson? He was the first big time rookie card I wanted to find in a oack
Pop was an assistant coach (under Larry Brown) from day 1 of Robinson's career. He became the head coach in 1996, 7 years into the Admiral's tenure.
@@larryeshleman9928Pop didn't develop anybody. Not even Duncan. Those 2 were made for the NBA since day one. Parker and ginobili sure it took years for them to develop.
Pop handled KD at the last Olympics and won Gold with team USA, I am sure Pop will use Wenby the same way offensively.
David robinson started playing in 1989
I hope he put some muscle on because he’ll get injured if he doesn’t
Pop is 74? Sheesh. Sharp as a tack.
Not 2.5 years. Give him 4 years
2.5 years +
1.5 year’s of muscle growing 🏋🏽♂️⛹🏽🤾🏼
Plus Victor has all of SATX protecting him!!
Why did Wemby chose to play in France rather than in Spain where competition is fiercer? To protect his asset. He might get intentionally hurt in other league but not in France.
I want a Gino 2.0
Someone needs to call Kareem have him teach him the skyhook
Mans like if Giannis and Luka Doncic Combined
Sam Bowie😂😂
