    Amazing stuff! My daughter is non verbal, Autism & is a sensory seeker. She came across a water toy last summer called Splash Fun, Pipeline Pumper by Jaru. They were at our local Christmas Tree shop but they closed down by the end of the summer. What attracted her to them was the fact they made a specific whistling sound when used without water. I ordered five of them from an out of state company in California, but only two of the five did the sound she liked. She has been asking for them the last months since the store closed down & thankfully I was able to contact the company via phone, they were kind enough to test them for me to see if they made the whistle sound, 4 of the 9 in fact did. Of course I placed an online order to have the 4 shipped for her Christmas wish.. I just a wonder why some didn't make the same sound, they all appeared to have the same identical characteristics, same measurements, it was driving me up the wall trying to figure out why the other three didn't produce the sound. The only thing I think I figured out was that the orange ones that didn't make that sound seemed to have a slightly wider tube when sliding the handle stick in & out. Also the hole at the end where the water squirts out, seemed to not have the same amount of the plastic ring going inward as much as the others. I even dried out most of the clear grease, but still no whistle sound. It wasn't like a regular whistle sound, more like a bird type sound. When the handle is pulled out and twisted about or back in etc.. I would even have made some for her, but I don't have the tools etc for that. Appreciate your videos very educational.

    Congratulations for the exciting and smart instructive video! This square woodden slide whistle with marked notes on , patented over a church organ pipe which I think you say it is connerrfcial ,has the distinctive behavior compared to the rest that it keeps stable the same 1st harmonic when making the sound, which is valuable to me. Where can I find this particular slide whistle please?

    • @YeanyScience
      @YeanyScience  Před 5 lety

    Hi Bruce,
    Made several of your designs. I followed your method precisely, but NONE of them work. I suspect there is something critical in the manufacture that you may have stumbled on without realising. I am UK based and collect my plastic pipe from a local supplier. For example; The wall thickness may be different to the material you use. I am an engineer so capable of following instructions and making items exactly.
    If you read this, please suggest the variable which I should look at to solve the problem.
    Many thanks, Paul

    • @Saareem
      @Saareem Před 6 lety +9

      don trump just because you had unmotivating female teachers, does not mean that all female teachers are unmotivating. I've had very passionate and dedicated female teachers as well. The gender makes no difference. Also, your stance about them doesn't fuel their passion for teaching.

      Eemeli Saarelainen i agree, personal experience does not equate to reality...the same way YOUR experience doesnt reflect reality.
      The truth is female teachers are as average worse than male teachers. They mark their female students higher and thermale students lower.
      They promote the drugging of youngboys and see them as as "deffective girls".
      Oh, and lets not forget most of the pedofiles nowadays are female teachers ( i know your beloved tv wont dare show this, but you are smart enough to do a google search, arent you?)
