it makes me laugh how many people in the comments are saying "someone be my internet best friend", it doesn't happen like that. You just find someone who becomes special to you, when you force it it isn't the genuine relationship that you form at random. My ibf was probably the last person who I would expect to be my best friend when I first talked to her, but now she is my other half and I wouldn't want to live without her.

i couldn't agree more. my current ibf was someone who i didn't even acknowledge, neither did he. actually, we hated each other at first. then one of my friends (who is also his friend) got in a vc with us both and me and him just really clicked. we talk everyday now and i couldn't ask for a funnier, more amazing person in my life.

About a year ago i met the most wonderful girl ever. We became the best of friends almost right away. She's been through a lot and she's the most supportive person i have ever met. But theres one problem... She lives in Florida and i live in Pennsylvania. She talked to her parents, told her about me. I talked to my parents and told her everything she's ever done for me. in the beginning of summer 2k16 I made a fanpage for kana blender (sorry if u don't know who he is) and one day I suddenly came home from dance and got a dm from a not so poplar fan page for the same person as well ! The username is (kanaxedits) it's changed now lmao. But anyways she dmed me saying that we s hi old be friends and stuff because we both like the same people and are in the same fandom. So I said YES I've always wanted an Internet best friend. ..... we talked. A lot. And for the rest of the summer each night when I went to sleep I would hope for the next morning that I would get to talk to my new friend. Which pretty quickly became my BEST FRIEND in the WHOLE entire world.... but one bad thing.... she lived in kentucky.. I lived in california :-, ( sad.. I know. We wanted to plan a day to meet eachother and we even face timed while we both watched videos of Internet best friends meeting and we hoped that one day it would be our turn. A couple of months later.... she started talking to this other person which I got stupid and got jelouse of the whole fact that "they both lived in kentucky" and that they both got the chance to see eachother on a daily bases. My friend started calling the other girl HER best friend. I was being do dumb and jelouse..... I didn't relize that I wasn't the only person on earth or the only friend she had in life. I didn't expect any of her respect. I honestly don't know what I was thinking and so I anonymously messaged her to stay away from alex (the new best friend) she got mad and started messaging me asking me if I knew who this person was, telling her to stay away from the other girl, ALEX. And I couldn't keep the guilt any longer.. I TOLD HER THAT IT WAS ME !! And that went terrible but I was being honest.... we got into a fight and all her friends came after me and shit went down... lmao I can't type anymore but hey that's my story and yeah (don't think I don't care about what I did.. honestly it took me forever to recover) pls and thankyou
