Yummy again, Tipper! This is in fact a feast. Thank You Lord for providing for us all. 🙏♥️
Oh my goodness…fresh fried fish is the absolute best! Everything looks delicious! ❤
We put a little cayenne in hushpuppies, too.
Such a beautiful, delicious meal!
What a wonderful meal you’ve whipped up for your family. I’m a happy guy anytime I am fortunate enough to have fried fish, taters, hush puppies and coleslaw. Nothing says “country cooking” better than a meal like this one. Now, your also starting to enjoy the homegrown vegetables from your garden. I know that y’all are looking forward to a summer full of fresh produce being harvested. God is good and His blessings include good food for us to eat. I enjoyed this video, it made me me hungry for a meal like this. Thank you for sharing. - Tennessee Smoky
Thank you for visiting with us 😀
Looks like some fine dining there Miss Tipper. What a blessing to have each person at the table contribute to the meal. Not many families sit around the table together at suppertime anymore, y’all are truly blessed to do so. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😀
Growing up, my grandparents had 3 fishing ponds behind their house, in central North Carolina. Once a year, the fish became overcrowded, so they would use a huge net to seine the ponds. A huge cast iron stew pot was set over an open fire and filled with oil. They brought the fish in, cleaned them and fried them in that huge pot. We always had vegetables straight from the garden, corn, tomatoes, and I loved whole cucumbers, and ate them peel and all. It's been over 60 years and I remember it like it was yesterday. I love hush puppies, so that hush puppy cornbread is on the menu.
I could tell that Austin is in the house by the HaPpiness in Corie's voice 😉
😀
I just love being in the kitchen with family making home made non processed food like that. You cannot get any healthier or more delicious. No chemicals, good fresh wonderful nourishment and family to nourish your heart. Add The Lord in there and you got everything a soul needs other than water and a roof. Thank you for sharing. I want to move back home and be with my family.
I think this is the nicest comment ive ever seen❤
Thank you so much for sharing your family supper with all of us…Such a blessing tonight 💕💕
Our pleasure!
Tipper and family…thank y’all for this video…my neighborhood here in Cleveland TN. used to have a fish fry after a good day on the water during the summer where all the fishermen and fisherwoman (my late wife Terri was always lucky with a rod and reel) would meet up at a neighbors house and cook up a feast (we also did ramps back when we were free to gather them)…I’m 70 now (a widower for 6 years) and your CZcams content always takes me back to the good memories…may God continue to bless you and yours 🙏🙏🙏.
My Mom and Dad cooked like that! It was delicious 🩷 Yours looked so yummy and I love the way the whole family pitches in to help and enjoy!!❤
This is a portrait of a happy family. The fish fry looks delicious, Thank you for sharing the precious moment. Its these moment were I cherish the most. Love the video. As always, Sending prayers and blessings
I feel like I’m home with momma in southern Ohio.
Lovely 🐾💕
I can't eat fish , they wiggle in my belly 🤣, God bless my friend Tipper and her family! I wish all people was as good and innocent as you are 😢
😀
When I was a teen, my dad would fry us fish he caught, make salmon patties, and thick fried ham sandwiches. He also made the best chocolate malts. Fall and winter, every Sunday morning, mom made orange rolls for us kids. Before church she would stick a roast in the oven. Mom usually had a big pot of chili on the stove. Dad liked to cook. Mom loved to bake (cheesecakes, Pecan Tarts, Butter Horns, Cinnamon Rolls, etc.) She enjoyed making candies too. Especially at Christmas time. Divinity and fudge. My sister and I bake as well. I enjoy making breakfasts and soups. Sis enjoys canning.
Now that's a man who has done some fish frying in his time. He didn't spend all the cooking time turning it s hundred times. Good job, Sir.
I love to hear you talk about granny & sharing the old ways, y'all are such a blessing to have... thank you so very much!! God bless. I'm learning so much!!❤❤
Just hearing you list the items you are preparing for supper makes my mouth water. You and your family are blessed by great food and love for each other.
Your killing me! I am so hungry just hearing about your dinner deliciousness.
Thank all of you for this. It is quiet time for me.
Wow, we could smell the fish cooking down here in South Texas, and the cornbread looked really wonderful! The garden fresh vegetables looked sooooo good. A meal fit for the King! Thanks for sharing the video. We will try that cornbread here at our house! Have a great week! We love watching your videos, keep them coming. God Bless all of y’all!
Tipper I hope you get some of the cucumbers. What a feast. Your hush puppy cornbread is the star right along with the fish. You all enjoy❤
I was hoping you would show us how you fillet your fish. Sure did look like a good meal. Always nice to see the family sitting around the table eating together.
I tried to slow the video way down to see how she did it but still it was too fast LOL
I’m with you, Tipper! I’d rather have fish than steak, chicken, or any other meat on the planet especially if it’s fresh caught and fried up crisp. We fry our fish outside too, and always have slaw, some kind of potato, homemade tartar sauce, and sliced cucumbers & tomatoes in season. Can’t wait to try that hush puppy cornbread. A home cooked meal with family gathered around is a priceless treasure, providing memories that will last down through the generations. ❤❤
Watching this is such a comfort
What a fantastic meal! How I wish I could go fishing with my Dad again. So cool you have a deer hunter and a fish filleter in the fam. ❤️🇨🇦
That’s a feast fit for royalty. Probably better than royalty eats. The entire family had a hand in catching and preparing it,
I love eating fish, and I love going fishing. I have a lifetime fishing license for saltwater, trout and fresh water
Wonderful memories of my dad catching, guttin’ and breadin’ (adding a bit of his Old Style 🍺 to the batter😂)then cooking right there by the lake. I can still smell that deliciousness! Thank you for sharing this!
I love cucumber sandwiches as much as Matt loves his tomato sandwiches. Made the same way. ❤✌
I like those too! Also, radish and salted butter sandwiches.😊
@@Sewmena918 Radish sandwiches are good. 😁
I was going to add radish sandwiches to the list, but two people beat me to it. Radishes for breakfast on top of buttered toast. A little salt did to the radishes on the toast
@@nancyjohnson6867I love radishes on buttered toast also on buttered saltine crackers
When I miss home (Central NC), I gravitate toward your videos Tipper. They make me happy.
Saw your video Q&A part 1 & learned that your girls are twins. I too am mother of twin girls. My best gift from God!
Nearly 3 yrs ago, the younger one passed from heart attack in her sleep. That morning she was scheduled for heart cath by cardiologist but insurance denied procedure.
God brought us thru the loss.
Bless you!!
Tripper, love sitting down with family at supper time. That's the way we always ate at home and those times get forgotten sometimes as we have raised our own families. I think that is a custom that should always be followed.
What? 45 minutes ago and all these comments already? What a nice community I found! I think I would have mixed that salad with the slaw and chowed down.
Can't beat fresh caught mountain trout. That is a wonderful meal. Yall make it look so good!!
That meal reminds me of my Granny cooking in the 70s.God bless that woman, she cooked for 4 people like a buffet. Yours looks great !
On my grandpas farm in Missouri they always cooked the fish over the fire in a cast iron pot that was a big family fish fry. Looks yummy God bless
I remember those Wesson oil measuring cups. I remember when you could get one if you bought the big bottle of Wesson oil it was attached to the bottle. Your supper looks delicious family time is the best😊❤️
Came to say the same thing about the Wesson oil measuring cup. I still have mine too. Think it was in the 80's .
I love the idea of making hush puppy cornbread.
Whoever yelled yee haw made me laugh out loud 😂😂😂
😀
I am so sad I wish I knew you guys and was eating fresh trout. I love trout! YUMMMMMMMMY-O😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Nothing beats some freshly caught fried fish 😋That is definitely a yummy meal...
Just the sounds of a lively kitchen brings back wonderful memories for me.
Delicious spread of fresh fried fish, vegetables and hush puppies, yummy
Maybe it's my Scandinavian heritage but, I could eat fish for breakfast. The plate of garden goodies was always there at our fish fry. We called it rabbit food. The potatoes are great like you fix them, Tipper. We sometimes shake some parmesan cheese on them. Slaw always is good at a fish fry. One thing that my granny always put in her "fish slaw" was yellow salad mustard. We're gonna have to try the hush-puppy corn bread. What a feast. Matt cooks and seasons food like I do. Loved this one, Tipper
Thsnk you for sharing the way you celebrate Appalachia! You are loved.
Our 14 year old granddaughter is very good at filleting fish. Her grandpa cuts the head off, guts them, and then she takes over with an electric knife.
Nothing better then fried fish. We coat ours with Andy’s seasonings. Our Walmart sells a couple varieties.
Tipper, my Daddy would fish at Lake Sam Rayburn, not far from our house on El Camino Real, The King's Highway, and fillet up a lot of fish and make hush puppies!! It was amazing!! It was Crappie, which I loved. And I was never a bit picky, so I much enjoyed all the bounty!! Tonight watching you made me miss my dear DADDY. He's been with Jesus since 2009, but I figure he fishes with those guys now!
Yum and YUM again! The meal always tastes so much better when home grown or home caught. "Blessing's all mine and ten thousand beside....." The Lord is so good to His children.
Not from the US, I now know what Hush Puppies are. Thanks Tipper.
Reminds me of fish fries at my grandparents house. My grandaddy was an expert fisherman. My favorite were and still are blue gills, but I do love trout. He would freeze extra ones in paper milk cartons. My grandma had an iron skillet that was only for cornbread, one time grandaddy fried fish in it, we thought WWIII was gonna break out 😂
Oh, and great hush puppy hack!!
❤wish I was there. I would rather have fish too!!❤😊❤🎉❤❤❤
What a feast! Now this is living!!! I Love the group cleanup in your supper videos 🤸🏼
You know you don't have to filet brook trout, just head and gut them, dredge them in flour and pan-fry them (in bacon fat). The meat peels away from the backbone, fins & ribs leaving you with a perfectly safe - and delicious - meal. The skin gets crispy and delicious because there are no scales! That's the method that has come down the generations of my family for over 100 yrs. Jeepers, I haven't had speckled trout in a hundred yrs. I gotta find a source now.
The best ingredient of all..... family. You are richly blessed to have each other.
You are so kind 😀 We are truly blessed!! And I'm thankful 😀
Tks for sharing ur meal w/ us!! Fish fries r the best!
Sounds wonderful! My husband cleaned so many fish growing up that he hates fishing now. I've never learned it because my family didn't fish. Love to eat fried catfish when it's gifted to us.
I’m 35 & cooked & ate a ton of fried fish in my life & have never seen anyone fry it with the skin on like that. I’m not going to knock it till I try it…. I’m just saying that totally shocked me. Everything else was exactly how we’d eat it, even the batter on the fish Matt did.
my Aunt Dorothy used to make us kids homemade hush puppies with buttermilk…..❤❤❤❤❤
Well, as I was watching this video, I was eating a cucumber sandwich with green onions fresh from the Farmers Market this morning and then stopped at the blueberry farm for the first crop. Very sweet and big!!!
What a beautiful supper!
Thank you 😊
Hi Tipper! It's a home grown supper! So special. I love thinking about in generations past everyone ate that way. Food they raised or hunted and how special it tastes. We always fished in the river around Fresno when I was growing up. We would bobber fish in still pools and catch blue gill and crappie. They were so delicious. I too cleaned my fair share. Karla in Cali.
As a child, we often visited Gulf Shores, Alabama for a family vacation. Mind you, it was NOTHING like it is today. It was wonderfully rustic and there was not a high rise to be seen. But we sure did love all the good eating, fresh fish including Hush Puppies! One night my mom decided she could easily duplicate that recipe which was on the back of a bag of local flour. Well, we were all excited! And let me tell you ... they were the most horrible things we ever ate. Hard as rocks! Years afterward, we still laughed about it. In the Midwest, we eat fresh, fried fish with lots of melted butter and herbs such as tarragon and garlic. Y'all sure had a long day. Soon, you need to get a dishwasher. I'm single ... but I would never ever live anywhere without a dishwasher. If you do a bit of searching, you can still find one that is portable ... and would easily slide into that empty space right side of the sink. ... Don't see "Tate's" cookies ... someone had a great snack ...
Watching this video was like going shopping while hungry. Cookbook is now on order.😆
😀
Memories of my family too. Now I'm hungry !
Gooood evening from central Florida! Hope everyone has a great night! Looks absolutely delicious!
Thank you 😀
N fl hot stay safe down there
I love the hushpuppy cornbread recipe and can see many possible variations.
A fabulous fish fry with all the complimentary sides! Sure it was delicious!
Fish taters soup beans slaw or fried okra my grandpa was the catfish king of central Texas the family feed the neighbor great memories ❤from TEXAS
Matt’s plate needs sideboards. 😆 Loved his comment, he’s gonna hurt his self. This meal looks amazing!
😀
Yummy, yummy, yummy! I am more of a fish person too, Tipper. My father-in-law used to go deep-sea fishing sometimes and he caught a huge grouper one time, filleted it and we got three suppers that fed 6 people out of that thing. Sometimes we would go out in his boat in the river here and catch trout. He would make homemade hush puppies too and that was some good eaten! I love lemon juice on my fish and I like to dip them in Louisiana tartar sauce. So good! Y’all have a good week. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida😎🦩🌞🦩😎
Thank you so much for that fine country meal. Made with love for family. Great roasted potatoes idea too
A feast indeed! Yum! Fish is always my favorite meal!
Nothin' better than eatin' fresh caught fish 🐟 I grew up eating them because my dad went fishin' about every Saturday. Whether it was fried bass or smoked mullet. Ya'lls fish fry brought back some fond memories.
Meals like this are forever in my fond memories growing up.
I love Fish 🐠 especially Fried 🐠🐠
Now that's a real meal with your family working as a team !
"Not half bad." My Dad used to say it like that all the time.
My grandparents were commercial fishermen on the Illinois River. Us kids got to help from netting to selling and everything in between. When I met my husband, he went around telling everyone to bring me their fish to clean, fillet, or score, lol. I can't remember a time I hadn't had fish at the ready. We all pole fish now tho.
Oh Yeah ... l forgot to say ... " Katie you look fantastic! Bravo 👏... on the weight lost... you are very much a beautiful young lady ... keep up the good work!
I'm like Matt. I could hurt myself over that meal! Mama used to make her own thousand island by mixing ketchup and Dukes sandwich relish spread.
Yum that sounds good 😀
Always enjoy watching your family suppers! Yummy
Well i sat here and was salivating watching this video i so miss fish and eating like that i ate that way growing up many memories from my childhood at my aunts house she cooked like you and Matt wonderful job on that fish and Tipper your family is spoiled Dessert after nearly every meal. OMGahhhh, that fried fish looks every bit as good as I *know* it tasted‼️ Wow 🤩 😋
I enjoyed your entire video, but my favorite part was hearing Corie tease Matt about wearing shorts. Reminded me of teasing my dad when we were kids. 😂❤

I never thought about "hush puppy cornbread"!! What a great idea! I'd just whine while I stood over hot oil to fry them...glad to give up that particular whine!! 😂😂
😀
Thank you, Tipper! Home grown and caught. I truly enjoyed how you made hushpuppy corn bread. I'll be sure to try that. We always roast our potatoes too. So easy and so good. Nothing like a fresh pie to end a family meal.
Wellllll dang....
My mouth watered and...well...dang...super wish I had family near me to make a feast like this...simple as it was, yet totally bountiful
