Wouldn't it be cool if the Con Rit turned out to be an evolved "final form" of Anomalocaris?
Honestly surprised there aren't more bug cryptids considering how many insects and such surround us
maybe it’s cuz bugs are gross enough, we don’t need to make up monster variations 💀
A lot of bug cryptids are just boring. Like 'lightning bugs, but they're green not yellow' type beat.
@gaddiusgaddium9082 lightning bug myth was made up by the glow Worm, which is a type of Beetle with a lime green Glowing tail.
@@frowner_and_co I would guess so, had I known glow worms existed. Thanks for the knowledge! :)
@@honeycrispsnail4032 yeah but theyre small. if bugs were gigantic we probably wouldnt be here now lol
Thanks for usin my Iceberg
Great vid
Where is Up Island? He talks so fast! TTnTT
Im obssessed with cryptids so absolutely LOVING these icebergs of lately (the history ones are awesome as well!)
That's awesome, got some few more then I'll look into some other history topics or such!
20:15: The spider has that ,,Goodbye, friends of Hagrid!" expression.
Thank you very much for covering bug cryptids! I never thought about bug cryptids before, which is quite the oversight! :D
That was really cool and expanded my initial thoughts whenever I think of the word cryptid.
bug cryptids are so interesting since many of them are totally be plausible!! this is such a cool iceberg.
great video, love your narration and the information you provide!
Thank you!! I'm supposed to have a video up today but I'm running through an issue with audio editing - the thing is I switched my pc and I forgot to backup a filter/EQ I was using for my voice, so now I'm not sure what it was, and I keep double thinking my audio
Many of them aren't plausible at all, for the specific reason that open circulatory systems that arthropods use to breathe cannot support the body sizes required due to a lack of oxygen in the atmosphere. There's a reason there's a cap on the sizes of known arthropods.
@@Zoanfly aw, i hope you can get that all sorted out :( i’m sure the video will be great!!
@@lordhawkridge4116 yeah true 💀 i should say that “some” of them are totally plausible. i just want to believe in big spiders tbh
I appreciate the reassurance, sum else happened too where I accidentally closed my voice app and lost the recording LOL, do ya mind commenting on the next video tho tmmrw n telling me if my audio is alright? 😭
good video bro 👍🏽 keep it up!
Thank you!!
Thank you for making Unique Icebergs, its Crack for me
I gotchu, thanks for watching!!
What music is that in the background? I’ve heard it on quite a few cryptid videos before, but I’ve never been able to find the original.
Btw great video!
It's Underwater Exploration - Godmode
ive been waiting for so long
Thanks for another interesting video! Weird cryptids are the best
I try not to correct pronunciation very much because I know there is a lot of variation. But Missouri I can hear your struggling with. I'm actually impressed uou got all those letter sounds in there. But we just call it Miz-oR-ee.
mizzuri
@@Barackobama-uq2ly yeah, that's about right.
Neat stuff! Some of these are really cool! I dunno why though, but I always feel weirdly odd about people referring to worms and spiders as bugs
Con rit sounds like a Chernobyl Ribbon worm
14:50 as an Indian I can confirm there weren't any golden ants in Mahabharat.
That 1st one looks and sounds like a Bobbitt worm, some of them get pretty big too. Polychate worms, I think? Polychaete? I don't know how to spell it, they live in the seafloor
This is amazing
What’s the song that plays in the background?
the Con Rit sounds like a Remipede (a real centipede-like crustacean).
11:50 * correction, 'Limux cinereoniger' is the largest species of extant slug.
Thanks as always, keep up the good work!!!
Thanks for always checking these out!!
28:11 "however, troops are not native to this region"
Ther just aren't documented!
As someone who lives near Chelyabinsk, (in Ekaterinburg), troops ARE common here. And I do have a triops in my aquarium, which I caught in a puddle in the woods.
Barn owls are also believed to not be non existent in Western Siberia, however, my acquaintances and I have seen one at least once.
Tucking autocorrect
Hey man I loved your video! Thank you so much for sharing with us!
Thank you!!
Bug cryptids are EUGH. Visceral
larger then a fox but smaller then a dog , genius description :D
half of the "cryptids" here , are just rare or extinct insects, or nah?
Insects have capillaries carrying oxygen to each cell, which gets really inefficient the larger they are.
Also, their exoskeletons get progressively heavier for them the larger they are.
people do not usually think of these things that's why they believe in anything.
If i may one critique, slow down a bit. You sound nervous have a good voice. Let YOU come out. This isnt a race. Dont be afraid to add some of your personality into the sceipts.
Appreciate the feedback, you're right. Trying my best to improve!!
@@Zoanfly tbh I love icebergs but whats your plan for your channel when icebergs views died down
Also when are you gonna do more non crpytids videos
U right it’s good to think and plan ahead. Well because the channel’s more centred around video essays, ig if the views aren’t there then any other topic in a long form way I find interesting id post. And I tried the ancient stories one and a couple other ones but these ones seem to be getting the most views so ig I’ll just keep the momentum up for now, but I’m open to suggestions if u got any
@Z5uixCiz if icebergs suddenly become the Mark of Cringe, just make a Paris Catacomb..the most commonly known stuff is the tourist area, slightly more obscure can be tunnels that are off limits but decently mapped out by Cataphiles, moving on there are tunnels known to be the domain c criminal gangs, cultists and the insane, on into the true land of the lost until you break through the roof of Hell itself...that's a waaayyy cooler format than an iceberg.
As a topic suggestion, conspiracy theories, mysteries and other oddities could be good topics.
Ed-in-bruh is how you say it and I had no idea of this creature
Splendid 👍👍
Thank you!
The fact that your voice is so appealing despite reading too quickly is testament to your real and genuine talent as a narrator. Your pronunciation is always well and despite the speed you clearly have an understanding of knowing when pauses are appropriate in sentences.
You already have a real talent. Trust me. If you speak a little slower it’ll only continue to improve. Don’t worry about your videos being long from reading a bit more slowly. I would gladly watch longer videos and I’m sure others would also.
Just take a little bit more time while reading. Your videos are already well put together and entertaining. Excited every time you post. That’s just my one comment on what could be improved.
Wow man thank you, this is genuinely one of the best feedback comments I got. I’ll really try reinforcing the idea of speaking slower in my next video and i really appreciate the talent comment it’s awesome to know people like the commentary, it means a lot.
I remember reading that the beast of brunei was proven a hoax because a practical effects artist for movies came clean and said it was a model he created
23:52 anomolocaris my beloved :3
nice ... I really thought I overcame my arachnophobia and now you are telling me there are spiders that are bigger then some grown humans?
The con rit must be a gigantic bristle worm
Yo that's the Mantis Mutant from Kamen Rider Black in the thumbnail
The second I saw the Miami beach scorpion I thought euryptrid.
Imagine driver ants as big as a Great Dane.
May pants=shidd
"States like Nebraska and...what? Missisouri?
Pretty sure that Scorpions and Lobsters aren't Insects but I might be wrong but they surely aren't Bugs that's clear
Im in an area that gets negative winters. Ive seen a 5 to 6 inch tall spider and havent found anything on what i seen.
Where was it? Like in the woods or in your yard or what
@@willissudweeks1050 just outside of a small woods isolated in a neighborhood, i was walking into school. I halted the line returing from recess and seen it but no one else said anything but its not like it stood out. Fast 5 inch ish tall "daddy long legs" i remember calling it, but it was thicker all black.
*edit yes of course my elementary schools been torn down, the woods are untouched still.
@@evilgenius97what state?
@@chemistryofquestionablequa6252 Southern Michigan
@@evilgenius97 that’s really close to where I’m from in southern Ontario, I wonder if there’s a population of them in the area where you saw it? There are definitely animals in areas that aren’t recognized as having those populations. I saw a cougar in a London Ontario park several years ago and there were a couple of bears captured in the area about four years ago. Where I live now in north central Arkansas there are tarantulas, though we aren’t on the habitat map. I’ve seen a couple in the year and a half we’ve been here and my mother in law saw them growing up here. Did you only ever see the one? Was it a heavier build spider like a tarantula, or what would you say it looked most like other than it’s size?
Bug criptids are the most plausible since new species with weird evolution characteristics are discovered all the time, but I noticed these reports tend to exaggerate the size of them and that undermines the veracity of the stories.
I agree, I think when people come into contact with bugs they see as more larger in comparison to others, it seems really plausible to over exaggerate the size when retelling the story
wrong. they're the most inplausable because our atmosphere doesn't contain enough oxygen to support invertebrates that big.
Love bugs
Really happy to see content on bugs. Across the board. I think you're doing great, and as for the guy who said the ai art thing, I didn't really see anything so far. Don't stress it. Appreciate the content ❤
I always struggle on if I should watch these as they come out or save them till Monday morning so I have something to watch b4 work
Dwdw I'll have another one out by monday too I got ya
You only work one day per week? Why don't you just listen as they come out while at work like a real man.
@@nobody-kp5coget friends going. after random ppl on internet is hella corny
What a load of hot garbage.
"bug meat"
SLOW DOWN
Not to pile on the criticisms but slow down and pronounce each word. So do yourself a favor because your subject is really interesting.
song name pls.... reminds me of old point&click adventures
Underwater Exploration - Godmode
thx man
Ant. Lion. Not antillion. Ant lion.
I pronounced it as such before recording it again since I thought I mispronounced, my mistake though I should’ve double checked
You pronounce Missouri as missishurry
Thats eren 1:14
I still needa watch the last season ngl😭 I always dodge other animes I feel like im just loyal to one piece forever
@@Zoanfly ok
Bug cryptids?!? I didn't know there was such things....
Where is Up Island? You're talking kind of fast. :(
You don't know now how to pronounce ANT-LION?! Come on
Or Polish
Who else got here because disco Elysium algorithm shit
Aw cool.
i love your videos but i hate when people discuss cryptids and after talking about sightings offer some mundane explanation. for instance every single mothman video never fails to mention that the people are simply mistaking the cryptid for an owl. or just now 2:56 when you say it could have just been a smaller more common spider. it would be so much better if you could just explain what it is and move on instead of trying to provide a mundane explanation at the end.
5:19 🙄
Feedback your pronunciation needs work
If you want your content to pop-off , try working on your diction
I like our videos but plz stop using this ai art its disgusting
What do you mean, which ai art?
I don’t think he’s using any AI art, art made on a computer sure, but it’s not AI.
Do you have an Instagram or tiktok or something for us to follow?
Nope not yet, I’m not too sure what I’d post on there
Bug cryptids. Mmm well I’ve never heard of any bug cryptids but hopefully i can learn something new.
