Karen's voice is very acrobatic, she uses it literally as an instrument, she has a baptize ”in your face” type of voice and style; however, Yolanda is more subtle, eloquent, articulate, and trained which has more cross over appeal to non Black audiences. Yolanda vocals in this clip seem over worked, strained, and trying too hard. Karen seem more sincere and you could feel the annointed. Karen has a voice like Patti Labelle and some ppl like it and some don't but I think she out done Yolanda on this one.
