- A new playable monster is going to be available in the next version of the game: Varan.
Varan is a melee character that has strong attacks and a very agile special move that helps going through enemies and obstacles.
I swear once the full game comes out...
This will go down as the greatest fan game of all time
Yeah, though Iuri is really putting their heart and soul into this fan game. With all the content and playable characters they’re adding, that takes a whole ton of effort.

It's good to see you're still working on this project, pretty sure this creepypasta is cursed cuz every attempt to make it into a real game I've seen ended up on the person giving up on the project, but I think you got what it takes to finish this. Best of luck in everything for you, dude!

to be honest, every attempt at a fangame its usually 90% the people give up the project, usually lost of interest or just lack of resources.
it depends on the person, hopefully this fangame is among the 10% that succeeded in the end.

He should absolutely make it paid, he deserves it, the problem is that it probably isn’t legal and it could get taken down by Nintendo or toho
Red will not be playable, and the game is nowhere near complete. The game is non-profit and will always be free, as the team does not have the rights to make this game commercial. I have answers 1 and 3 due to Iuri directly explaining this in the NGC Discord server, and 2 because... well logic.

I honestly like the alternative HUD, but I love even more that you added Varan! This project is getting better all the time, slowly but surely. Appreciate all these ideas you've added to increase replay value, it's super exciting and it's just pure awesomeness!!

I can see this game is going to be great. I love you creepypasta story its so good. Could you put jet jaguar as a playable monster, I think you should add a secret boss that if the player beats that boss we get a seek peek for what the next chapter(of the sequel to Godzilla NES)will be like and give us a clue on what the next monster that join the party in the story( I kind of hope it jet jaguar.) For the secret boss it has to be really really hard, harder then red, because you have to earn to see the seek peek. What the secret boss should be I say either Godzilla earth or Sin Godzilla or legends godzilla( it up to you if you even want to put a secret boss in this game, and if you do I hope you chose what going to be the secret boss) the secret boss will never be playable like red, because their really really powerful. Also to unlock the secret boss you must have beat the game once to be able to fight the boss.
So glad you’re ok, the last months has given us quite a scare, this not so little update with Not-Varan has got me excited again!
This is so cool to see. I really hope Gigan gets the playable character treatment, since he's not in the creepypasta outside of his "Not" variant. Keep up the good work Iury!
Man, the level of quality here makes it not only look like you're playing the real creepypasta game, but also a sort of faithful sequel to the original game!

So besides ones we know that are playable via the creepypasta, monsters that are originally bosses will also be playable? That's pretty dope!
Though one thing i wonder is will the player be restricted to just a number of monsters or they can use them all in one go? Given if its a latter, that'd kinda clutter the maps.
Also its pretty awesome that this is becoming a better version of the original nes game.

Glide: in the original monster of monsters, the developers did probably to make a gliding mechanic for varan like mothra but it didn't work so they keep him as a stand n fight monster

In the final version of the game, will there be a "faithful mode" password that removes any content added specifically for the fangame, leaving only the stuff mentioned/shown in the creepypasta itself?
Imagine playing as face
Except he also has hands and feet
He would have a punch that you would charge for extra damage
He would shoot his hands when the punch is fully charged but he would lose the ability to attack
The special attack is a heart call which would call a single heart creature fill you with 3 bars of health and fly off in a single direction acting like a projectile and if the power bar is full you could hold it for 5 seconds and it would glitch it and turn into not face and it would slowly drain the power bar
Not face would have different controls sets
The punches would be replaced by slashes and if you hold the attack then you would dash forward with a slash and a chomp of not face,s teeth
The special attack would have not face shoot out his claw hand grabbing the enemy and having the glitch consume it and it would fill up your power bar
The power bar would act like not face,s health and if the power runs out not face would glitch back into regular face
The only way you could unlock him is if you type in the code (Cosbydaf).
then play on the hardest difficulty without dying and not only that you would have to do every regular level and face quiz levels and stay in the zenith,s face quiz level till it gets to a point where it would usually kill the character your playing as.
And Instead of killing your character what it would do instead is the cursed face would glitch and would turn into not face then you would have to fight it.
After not face is defeated he would glitch into regular face and you could play as him.
And you would have to finish of red with face.
What it would do is give you the face ending and it would permanently keep face unlocked and turn all of the usual quiz levels into tv boxes with face on them and show you face,s life before coming inside of the game.
I know that it would probably least likely to happen but I would like to put my idea out there.

Will this monster be unlocked by defeating him in battle?
Yes. But this does not apply to all the other playable monsters, some monsters are unlocked by different means (like completing a specific stage for example).
