The thing about working for a FedEx contractor, is they can lower your pay at any time. The way they wheel you in is start you off around 750.00-800.00 and tell you you’ll get raises every 6 or 12 months based on performance. The contractor sign an agreement with FedEx which they claim they don’t make much money. So those raises might come to keep you in the first year. After that, you’ll be making the same amount money for years. In the 6 years I’ve been there, all the contractors have given pay cuts instead of raises. If your in Houston, STAY AWAY FROM SUPERIOR DELIVERY SERVICES INC!!!!
Thank you for pointing this out, I feel like nobody realizes ground employees are contractors so they don’t have the fancy unionized benefits that the freight and express employees get, I deliver in eastern idaho and get paid $16 an hour which unfortunately is one of the highest wages for fedex employees in my area
@@johnchristensen7096 freight and express don’t have unions. Our benefits are good, company would terminate if an union talks are mentioned. Some whole video on it
@@kunu98 is correct I am a freight driver and we have company benefits just like express. Ground drivers are all employed by small businesses that own routes. Their benefits/pay vary depending on which contractor you work for.
I love working for FedEx Ground, just started a few weeks ago coming from Amazon DSP Delivery, it's not as Disorganized with the Routing and it's pretty much a career job which I like , with Amazon delivery service my worry was showing up at work and the DSP I worked for would have their Contract Discontinued which is exactly what happened because of a lot of stuff that added up. No the benefits are not the best but the way I look at it can't have it all , the pay is a lot better than Amazon, the routes and package count is lower , at Amazon I had 180+ stops and 300+ packages, the route I have now with FedEx Ground is 85 stop's and 180 to 200 packages and a few pickups and I don't have to run myself until I collapse and worry and Dispatch calling me every 20 minutes rushing me, I'm happier than ever working at FedEx Ground Delivery.
Here at FedEx Freight in the Seattle area pay is about $35 per hour. Class A with endorsements are required and generally offers plenty of overtime. Lately, the economy isn't at it's best, so some drivers are currently furloughed. Benifits are ok, but not as good as they used to be. Do enjoy being out and about and meeting new people.
I worked in a fedex warehouse. Someone stole 3 boxes of medication from a hospital. FBI came in locked the building down an nobody was able to leave LOL
i'm a Ground driver. Out of the anaheim station. It's an absurd amount of work for the amount of we make. FedEx doesn't pay us. Cheap sub contractors do.
Depends on contractor and your experience. Been driving for about 5 years now and I get paid from $250-$280 a day, but depends on my stop count. My shift ranges from 6-8 hours, but that’s because I know my route like the back of my hand. Not too bad of a job.
@@ericmartinez4435 FedEx Ground doesn't hire their own drivers. I'm a package handler for FedEx Ground and am an actual FedEx Ground employee. All the drivers are contractors or subcontractors.
What's sad, is anytime you tell someone you work at FedEx they assume your a driver. You try to tell them you unload semi trucks, and people literally have no clue what your talking about.
That’s FedEx Ground. That means that you’re not really a FedEx employee but you’re required to behave like one. You actually work for a contractor that owns the routes. Your benefits depend on the contractor you work for. FedEx Freight and FedEx Express is where the money and benefits are at
Fedex express get paid less where I am but they have benefits. That aren’t that great. I make 25/hr. Express is only paying 18.00 give or take and not much overtime. Also fedex express won’t be around for another year or so. They are getting rid of it
Working salary is not beneficial at all because they get to decide how late you’re gonna be working out there. In other words they will take advantage of you, but when you’re getting paid per hour, it’s better regardless how long they have you out There you’re getting paid by the hour
Everything from pay to benefits to PTO is up to the contractor. Most don't pay hourly, many don't offer benefits, almost none give you any PTO. Fed ex drivers get shafted compared to UPS because we have contractors acting as a middle man that leech the money we earn.
I’ve been searching for CDL jobs with fedex but it seems to be crap Pat just because everything is pretty much contracted out and the companies with the contract take all the gain

Pay........cuts? This "you're a independent contractor so i can lower your pay at any time" stuff is getting old.😒
That's why I quit this shiti contractor fedex ,I work one day and I say no more ,they want to payme 15 on hour with that money you can't survive

Not a true FedEx employee. Ask one of the freight or express drivers

$900-1K a week??? Try $500-600 a week with the contractor I used to work for 🙃
$750/week in my area.

The more you work tha more you get paid bu that also depends on the contractor...bur id never do this for 10yrs that's ridiculous

About 5-6k a month with overtime not bad in some markets
Never heard of hourly on ground side unless you’re running small routes. And he’s been there 10 years and probably making 1000-1100 a week
Dude that’s how my career started just by talking to sum dude at tire shop asked if they was hiring and whooo hooo
Depends on the location because some drivers make less than that
That’s a lot of pitbull action😂

You moron he never said he was working for FedEx. He said he was contracted Bozzo
Sadly Ground drivers dont get very good benefits since they actually work the route owner. Express and pretty much EVERYONE else get great benfits
Now look up
FedEx cargo airline pilots!! They top out at like $390 an hour and on a full schedule make over half a million a year
Yup, moving freight pays a lot more than moving people. Just like a truck driver gets paid more than a bus driver.

10 years with no 401K
