Combining literary, socially engaged texts with innovative and genre-breaking music, she has covered every kind of style, while at the same time maintaining her own identity on each and every recording, whether it be the samples (before sampling became a concept) and electronically treated acoustics of The Sitting Room (1982), to the ground-breaking analogue synth classics of Sleeper In Metropolis (1983) and Our Darkness (1984).
Consistently looking for new ways of expression and communication through the emotion of music and language, Anne seeks to not only challenge herself but her audience also.

Ok I am quite confused. So if this is an offical Anne Clark channel perhaps you can clarify something for me. I used to own a 12” vinyl with cover art that look so much like the cover art on this video posting I thought at last Id found it. And perhaps this is a joke I missed but is there really No Hope Road?? I mean game recognizes game if you set this all up as a 30+yrs in the making spoof. Then All I can say is excellent follow thru Anne! Well played. But O really did own it and can even provide another witness who saw it as well. Lol. For I long time I thought it was your only “charting” song. It seems it was just the only one to make it to California. 😅
