- In this episode we're halfway through an absolutely epic day of offshore kayak fishing at a remote part of the Panamanian coast 18 miles west of Los Buzos Resort. The action has been insane and it isn't letting up. Yellowfin tuna, giant cubera snapper, free-jumping marlin and wahoo and a mystery fish that puts up an epic battle at the end make for a day these clients will never forget...

Was expecting a giant Bojala, Gallo, Cubera, or Wahoo...but wasn't expecting that Monster Jack! That is a world record one!

Carlos explained that the pressure in the water dont let the fish go down in deeper waters
If you bring it to shallow waters the air pressure in water drops and its easier for the fish to go down.
I can almost feel the ocean breeze and gentle rocking of the waves against the kayak. Another superb video!

You can also use heavy jigs with hooks straightened out and de-barbed by a pair of pliers to help fish with bloated air bladders to descend. Just stab the hooks through the side of the mouth, drop the jig and give a little tug to let the fish go.
Yeah we’ve found thats hard to get enough weight. Often takes a couple pounds or more
I wish you dropped this one day earlier for me to enjoy during 4/20 😂 but epic as always. Cannot wait for next year.

Never caught a wahoo? Me neither! Total bucket list pesca! 30 yrs fishing off shore and yet to land over 44lbs! 😳 I’ve hooked several biiiig fish. On the other hand my 10yo already has a 45-50kilo sail. On 30#.. yozuri deep red/white. Crazy!

90% of all the Cuberas i have caught came on whole 6 to 10 pound Bonitas. They love em. If you want that Wahoo Robert tie that popper on and just wind it as fast as you can dont pop it. You cannot wind too fast for them. I will be coming down there soon!! So epic

you just need to puncture the swim bladder and the fish will be able to swim easier
if you tap the belly it helps the air come out of the air thing I learned it striped bass fishing and use it for every fish that starts to float now and it works
Not sure that works with these bigger fish. We tried squeezing it out but no luck
