I think trends are becoming a trend 😂 especially through the use of tiktok, people now have this inspiration to be different, to set themselves apart, to create a trend. I think people are craving to get the recognition of being “different” or a “trend setter.” An example in this is getting recognition for “putting someone on” on a new music artist, genre, or song. People want that recognition they crave for it so much that trends are becoming trends.
I think sustainability isn’t really a trend, rather it is going to be the new standard. If fashion is to exist in the future it will have to be sustainable. If you want a $3 tee or $15 hoodie, why not just buy it off grailed or ebay or something? Surely you can find higher quality for the same price if its second hand.
"Sustainability" is just another word these brands just use to be more marketable to zoomers. The truth is even if every single brand suddenly stopped manufacturing clothes tomorrow, the world will be fine.

There is definitely a bigger shift towards buying clothes that will last, whether brand new or second hand, and buying from retailers that promise their clothes are made of environmentally-friendly materials and inks. I've found the hiking trend to be alittle weird for me because being from Seattle. That's like normal wear, the normal population rock patagonia, arteryx, the north face, as daily essentials because of how cold it gets or how its always raining. So seeing what people normally wear in Seattle be worn as fashion items on instagram is very interesting. Also thank you for having me in the video again :) if you ever pull up to Seattle LMK

Arcteryx has been a big trend recently. In terms of next trending applications I think the clubhouse format is going to be the next big thing and already the top social media companies are trying duplicating it on their platforms

RAW Denim is hitting a boom, which I think is going along with sustainability. Especially with the shelf life of raw denim along with the uniqueness that each pair develops
The people at Canoe Club have been doing the last trend forever, applying American Japanese heritage brands, raw denim, and boots. I think it’s been a quintessential style forever and brands like orslow, rrl, visvim, and many more have catered towards that esthetic. I don’t necessarily think it’s a trend but rather a timeless style that’s been established for a while now!
A lot of these trends is happening over in the U.K. too...every female is dressing like it’s tumblr and 2008/2010 again and a lot people are wearing new era caps, being a 21 year old guy I remember when I use to wear new era caps or certain brands and it wasn’t cool and was deemed chavvy but now everyone especially those younger than me are now hopping on those brands or trends which wasn’t cool back when I was growing up

Try some ROA boots if you want the Hiking type aesthetic, I'm a bit biased in supporting timbs as someone from Brooklyn but I think with boots it depends on what type of style you'd want to incorporate. I'd say the first place to look is away from capital F fashion and look back to boots you've seen either in person, on TV, in other influences to help shape the brand since many people in fashion for boots either go full military surplus, glam rock or workwear with not much in-between
