Hi Melanie, I completely agree that no amount of money replaces the loss of your child. Let's pray that all convenience stores will learn lessons from this sad case. They need to step up and check the identity details diligently, which is very important.
Thank you, Sgt Bill, from Policeoffthecuff for introducing Attorney Melanie Little to the CZcams community.
Thanks, Melanie! You are correct; no amount of money replaces the loss of a loved one.
From seeing you on DutyRon & Police Off the Cuff…I knew I’d enjoy your channel. Keeping it real. 😊
😍 ty Melanie and congrats on the new channel! You’re a rare gem bringing us just the legal facts. Relax, you got this and your no nonsense branding is refreshing 😎✌️❤
Thanks for the info! Great job Mr. Tinsley!
Thank you for keeping this tragic story in the public eye. That boat rode must have been a terribly frightening experience for those terrified passengers. Heartbreaking
Those Murdaugh portraits have to be removed permanently from the courtrooms. The fear of honoring that tyrannical family has ended
I agree! Thanks for watching!
Melanie , I love your "intro"- "Recovery Lawyer"!! 😂 I'm a Recovering Preschool Teacher; currently retired and forging a new path in SWFL.
Love watching you, and you and DutyRon and POTC. You go, girl!
Thank you for taking the time to clarify the facts. Drives me a bit crazy (especially in Lives) when there are misrepresentations of facts and the commenters can give information off the tops of their heads. I have often thought channels should designate a moderator to solely correct misinformation on the spot. It has gotten so egregious for me that to keep my blood pressure down I hardly ever watch a Live anymore! Carry on!
I feel your frustration! Thanks for watching!
ITA Melanie. The money won't replace their precious daughter. RIP Mallory.
Thank you Melanie for covering this. I read an article on it last night but I didn't quite understand it all. You explained it so clearly.👏
Great video Melanie. Thank you so much for what you do.
Please please please cover the GILGO beach case! There is so much to unravel!
YES! I am traveling but will be doing a livestream to go over the Bail Application/ Indictment as well as other available court documents- most likely tomorrow. I have practiced law in Suffolk County my entire career.
Make sure you subscribe and hit the bell to get notifications!
Excellent review of what happened, thank you Melanie. I sat as a juror on a civil trial that lasted 3 months and found it so interesting. Is it true in all cases that the jury doesn’t know if the individual suing has sued other companies/individuals?
Thanks @fuzzydoxie for watching! Do you mean whether the plaintiff has had any prior lawsuits for different occurrences, or whether other defendants have been released or settled in the case at hand?
Thank you for this update. I am glad i found your channel. Have a great day! Blessings
Very sad all around. You explained it well.
Thanks Melanie 🥰 ❤️
Thank you for all you do.🎉
You're so right.
Thank you for clarifying. Love your channel ❤

Hello Melanie tuning in from Victoria BC Canada 🌞
Hey Melanie, Congratulations on your own channel 👏👏👏😎🍾🥂 here fr ur excellent appearance & contributions on @Dutyron! New subscriber fr hell hole that is NYC at moment! Best wishes👋👋👋💚💚💚🍀🍀🍀
Hey Melanie, I think it was smart that Parker’s settled for the $15mil. My question is being that Paul was arrested and charged with 3 felonies before his death, can the fact that he was arrested and charged be brought up at daddys trial ? While I agree that no amount of $$ is gonna replace any loved one loss, I have seen lawsuits where the amount sued for and awarded has been insane.
My feeling is that evidence of the charges against Paul will be stipulated in - also it is important to note that excessive verdicts are often appealed, and settled for a lesser amount during the pendency of the appeal, if not reduced by the appellate court or remanded for a new trial.
Wow. Great job of explaining those nuances. I can see how people would have misunderstood that one. ***** It would be nice if the law worked that well on illegal drug dealers****
Very clear and concise summary explaining things an average layperson may not know. (Me. I'm the average layperson who didn't know things. Lol) From one Melanie to another, I'm looking forward to seeing your channel grow!
Melanie Power! Thank you!
New sub from DutyRons channel, love your input ❤
Hi Melanie, I'm excited for you and your new channel. I found you @ Duty Ron. (Isn't Ed the cutest geek?) You are very informative and have a good calm "radio" voice😊 Looking forward to watching your channel grow!
KJ in Phoenix 🔥
Much better mike tonight👍💙💙💙😎
I’m glad Mark Tensly settled this case! He’s fought long and hard for Mallory Beach’s family.
I wonder why the other 2 girls on the boat didn’t sue??
I think Buster should have been prosecuted for giving Paul his ID!
Those kids were well aware of Paul's behavior, that he was a "lose cannon," and unpredictable. I know that Mr. Parker and the attorneys for Mr. Parker dug deep and found more rabbit holes in many directions, so, most likely, case closed, IMO.
❤Hello 👋 Melanie! Hello from kalama Washington
❤
Such a needless tragedy, losing a beautiful woman at the beginning of her adulthood.
Following the Murdaugh case/trial was fascinating with its twists and turns, better than a Hollywood movie. The idea that two dogs, sealed Murdaugh's fate was wild.
Agreed, $15 million for a life seems too little, but I'm sure $150 million wouldnt mend the Beach family's heart either. If you were the Beach's lawyer, would you have suggested to not settle and gone to trial and what's your opinion about Parker's theory that Mallory new that Paul was drunk and still got on the boat?
I think settling against Parker's was a wise decision- and it is anybody's guess whether a jury would have apportioned any fault to Mallory for getting on the boat- but great questions!
I can see the stance taken that it’s an awful amount of money I have to admit I agree. Through personal experience, my husband died because of medical neglect, I took action against his doctor the case was proven and found the doctor was neglectful in several areas of his care. By the time lawyers were paid, I received around $200,000. Due to my husband, having a back condition, it was argued I was not a dependent as I was working at the time of his death. It’s not the amount of money I received that is heartbreaking how he suffered that will remain etched deep into my heart. All because his doctor was to arrogant to listen😢
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️
@@AttorneyMelanieLittle thank you
Your photo is nice but looks NOTHING like you in your videos.. do you think we don’t notice? Jeeesus
Wrongful death lawsuits should be for the death of a provider in a family for the financial support they lost. This is abuse of the system. That girl was not worth that much money and I don’t care how it sounds. If a housewife’s husband dies at work due to unsafe standards, that’s what a WD lawsuit is for
I'm interested to hear more about your thoughts on this. If your daughter was killed due to someone else's negligence, you don't think her life would be worth anything?
Wow
It’s a ridiculous lawsuit on every level. Family just trying to cash in. And people have the nerve to complain about cost of business and insurance in business. Either charge people in criminal court or let it go, this is not the intent of wrongful death lawsuits. That families little girl was clearly no angel and they need to accept that.
Why so harsh? Negligence is not always criminal. This is exactly the intent of wrongful death lawsuits- that is why they are heard in civil court. Pecuniary loss is not the only measure of the value of someone's life.
@@AttorneyMelanieLittleyou have 5 kids, if a drunk driver kills your husband and your a housewife then this is beyond criminal, you can’t support your kids without him. It’s not about punishing the drunk driver it’s just common sense part of his estate should go to you to support your children. WD should not be about punishment but common sense.
Thank you so much 😊🩷
You’re welcome 😊
