The solution maybe found with hardly any or minimum cost to government and both NDC and NPP have been complicit in not supporting this scheme. Because I’m sure there are people profiting from the chaos. For years people have been pushing the governments to allow private individuals to feed into the grid solar power generated by them.
I use solar power in my house and on a sunny day my batteries are fully charged by noon. For the rest of the day, during peak times the power goes to waste. The most expensive cost in my setup is the batteries, three times the cost of the collectors. If we are allowed to link to the grid for credit I will not need the batteries which means hundreds of thousands of households throughout the country can afford to add solar to their energy mix. The 500 MW shortfall will vanish at almost no cost to the government!!

Why can they go to Nigeria and negotiate for gas. At least Nigeria is close.

NDC is Ghana's problem. I'm surprised NDC communicators, including unreliable Mahama, have the moral right to criticise the current government about electricity power issues in the country.

Stupid comment. It is the NPP which is in power. Fix the energy crisis and stop talking nonsense.
