Insane Kingfish Lure Fishing in Sydney Harbour...Figure 8 Sluggo Hookup!

- Ecstatic session on Sydney Harbour targeting Kingfish with live baits until a school cruised past busting up along the shoreline. Managed to get them to eat sluggos on the figure 8 being our last ditch effort to try hook one.

Welcome to the "i caught huge kingfish " club maybe not your first one but never forget it and a great tale when drinkin beer. I for one appreciate and love sydney harbour where i grew up and when i see other rivers harbours all polluted appreciate how lucky we are and what beauties are out there.

any difference getting S80-6/8, 8' vs S792-4/6 paired with 10000 Shimano twin power SW?
S80 is pe rating 6-8 and S792 is PE 4-6. 10k twin power SW is a good match for a pe 4-6 rod. However I prefer fishing a rod longer than 8ft for Landbased. Hope this helps!

hey mate, nice vid, and subbed, what soft plastic size and jighead size you used?
6 and 7.5 inch Lunker City Sluggos in Pink and White. 3/0 for the 6inch and a 5/0 for the 7.5inch. Would recommend the 6 and 9 inch models in white and squid!

It was a 7.5 inch sluggo in squid colour!
LOL they are what we in nz call "rats" we get hundreds of them, any thing under 20-25kg is a rat kingfish and they go back...when we can catch 30+kg ones....
