I used to play for a long time this work in many places. Amazing Ginastera.
Perfect performance, can't believe I missed this earlier. Sadly underappreciated music, stylish and succinct.
I can’t believe I used to be able to play this back in college. Funny what real life does to a person.
Recently i turned 17 years old and i just started with it. I think that from all Ginastera's piano work this is the most beatiful one, it's overwhelmed with feeling and expression; like all the repertoire of Ginastera.
@@Tanke478 id say one of his orchestral works is the most beautiful and expressive, maybe cello concerto 2

at 3:07 or 3:08, fourth bar on screen, in the second half of the bar, shouldnt that A in the left hand be an A-sharp? (i’m hearing an A natural) or does the dotted line dividing the rhythm reset accidentals? I think another A sharp is played as a natural earlier in the piece too, however that time the sharp sign is right next to the note.
stupid question, the dividing dotted line is purely a visual aid for digesting and bisecting the asymmetrical rhythm; it wouldn’t negate any accidentals stated in the same bar. these were just mistakes i guess, but this performance is beautiful nonetheless, the handling of separation of melodies even in this slow simple piece (compared to a lot of Ginastera’s rowdy genius compositions) are tough for a modest player like me.
You seem like the type of person that tells teachers that they forgot the homework.
