Thank you :)
PowerCert Animated Videos thankyou for simplifying this
"Hubs and switches are used to create networks while Routers connect networks ".Excellent
Venkata chandini nice TL:DW
What is modem?
I read this comment while that sentence was being said in the video. Neat!
@Tahmid alpha12 Hey there? So if I understand it correctly, this is the path of data (in a case I'm using switch):
Computer → Switch → Router → Modem → Internet
Am I right? Would appreciate your input. Thank you! :)
@Red Ape Accurate
Honestly people like you are the reason why many people keep being interested in their courses, love you man
Best channel ever
Exactly...
6 years ago but still I am understanding most of the concepts using this channel. This is a life saver!
You can also check "branch education"
For someone starting out like myself it's so refreshing to have a clear, visual explanation of stuff like this, whilst so many other tutorials make the assumption everyone already knows this. Thanks!
agree, the visual aspect is extremely helpful for me!
Agreed!
I'm a CS graduate, working as a Software Engineer, and I am learning these things now, after my graduation. Thank you for your comprehensive videos!
you guys explained this in seven minutes, and my teacher made 1 hour long power point, you guys are heroes
@@meberg6958 dddd
Please ,no one can take place of teachers
@@meberg6958 To be fair, I explained ARP messaging and it did not take an hour to explain it to my students.
You are a liar
M Eberg You need to spend some time with my Yogi at his ashram. Ommmmmm.........
Sat on class for an hour about router , switch and hub and my face was blank..now watched your videos of 7 minutes and you really save the time of my life..thank you
I've spent half year on university having computer networks classes and I didn't understand sh*t of it until I've found this video. Thanks!
@CoeusQuantitative The computer networking classes always include and must include these basics. The problem is they're usually skimmed through and done with no effort to visualize how these concepts actually work. It's also difficult for professors to be patient with concepts that are new to their students while the professors have been learning about it for years if not decades. But that's they're job and that's what they should do.
@coeusquantitative6146 man shut the fuck up with this you
sound just like the fossils of a people everyone hates to have a discussion with.
Because of hit in the head out of touch thinking like yours so much potential is lost where many people could had gotten passionate about these subjects. If the course its taught with the ass, not even that, not even half assed, students will not search these out of curiosity they will search it out of desperation for believing that they are inferior in thinking for not understanding "such simple basics". If the teacher doesnt teach THE BASE of a subject with the same passion or interest as the rest of the course how the hell is that supposed to translate to an unknowing barely starting student on these topics. The teacher should lay the foundation THAT S WHY THEY ARE A FUCKING TEACHER. To teach and spark the motivation for the later courses. If they arent doing that might as well stop teaching when you are leaving people in the dark on such "simple" notions just because your ass is lazy to make it an interesting introduction. Fuck off mate
jeez pal, cool your jets@@coeusquantitative6146
I'm a software dev and currently studying for network+ to widen my knowledge and your videos have been extremely helpful.
Straight forward and concise - thank you brother!
Best explanation ever. You stick to the basics and avoided going too deep. This is how any complicated concept must be taught. Focus must be on getting the basics right and spark an interest of a learner. How the hub, switch, and router does their magic wasn’t important for this video and you dud great by not discussing that. If we want to know how they do it, we can always watch other videos that explains. 7 minutes well spent. You earned a subscriber.
amen to that
This is a god level explanation and animation.
Thank u so much

Absolutely awesome! You know a person really knows a subject when they can explain a complicated subject in such easy terms that anyone can clearly understand it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Great content. Keep it up.
Absolutely stunning presentation. Clarity of explanation to a layman. You made networking feel way more easier and fun for me.
Beautiful narration! Clear, calm voice, just the right emphasis, words easy to understand. I also appreciate the pauses. Thank you! I'm currently taking a CAD-CAM course, but we also have network classes. I can already see, that your other videos will also be at help for me. :)
I love this channel! I had a friend who used to help me with this kind of stuff, but he's been super busy, so I'm trying to learn about it on my own. These explanations are so clear and sequential. It's exactly what I needed.
I never do this, but subscribed after only ONE video (this one). Well done. Even after taking a networking class, didn't realize the differences completely until you explained it so clearly. Keep at it.
Small business owner here. I was having trouble my growing office network but thanks to this video I was able to identify the issue and resolve the problem. Thank you!

That was the most easy and precise explanation of this particular subject.
I know you have more videos but please do more. Like CCNA, Security + or even MSCA.
Your vids are *awesome!*
I've seen quite a few of your videos on the channel, and it's important for me to say that you are explaining simply wonderful and bright to understand, especially with the animation that seems to be invested.
(And I say this as one of English is not his native language)
We'll be happy to see more videos in a variety of other IT issues, even if you can also use security.

What has been confusing me for the entire lecture has become clear within a few mins! Really appreciate videos!

THANK YOU for this video! It was so clearly explained and clearly illustrated! I understood these concepts so quickly because of you explaining this.
5:20 was the only thing he got wrong. Other packets do not pass through your router not intended for your ip, there are boxes outside splitting up the incoming packets to the right ip, plus your ISP manages sending the right packages to the right place
I am currently taking the Google IT Support Certification course and your explanations are not only simplified but can really turn a novice in tech into a pro.
Right? I wonder if their idea was to force us to learn to supplement their course with our own self-study. Introducing the models and layers without actually explaining what they really are was a weird choice.
This is an amazing explanation, showing the internals of a hub (wiring and all) ..
This is the first time I have understood it so clearly ! Good work and thanks.
What a crystal clear way of explanation! Hands down.
Talk about making a concept simple to understand by anybody. The world would benefit from more educators like you. Bravo!

Amazing. You made this easy to understand. Great job!! Make more. No. Make lots more!!
If you look at the OSI model, you could say that these devices that interconnect correspond to the following layers:
- Router: layer 3 (network layer), where it routes packets based on IP addresses
- Switch: layer 2 (data link layer), where it routes frames based on MAC addresses
- Hub: layer 1 (physical layer), where it routes bits to all other connected devices
There are also layer 4 (transport layer) and layer 7 (application layer) routers which are used in datacenters to route traffic for specific domain names to the correct machine, either based on the HTTP "Host" header when using layer 7 for plain text traffic or the TLS Server Name Indicator aka SNI when using layer 4 for secure traffic, like HTTPS.
Video doesn’t mention layer 3 switches and VLAN and NAT which is why the world has yet to switch completely over to IPv6
I enjoy watching videos the way you teach. thank you for sharing.
Most of this info isn't really new to me but your video really helps me understand these concepts much better. Your visual aids are very effective. Quality content.
