A shallow storage console backed up to the sofa inside the front door could give you separation, storage, a place for a lamp and keys, and leave room where the sofa is currently for a couple of side chairs. Hard to know without dimensions...

I like what you've done so far. Some areas though I think your over thinking it. And it's comfortable looking. I can't wait to see the end result I hope that you plan on a house tour. Not so crazy about the sofa but I do like the bench /coffee table. I think I have to see part 2 of this living room. To see it all gel together. I love the living room! The only thing that I would change is the rug. It's beautiful but I don't feel like it belongs in that space. I would go for something that has more warmth to it. But you really did a fantastic job

Hi Emily, nice video! You mentioned a wall treatment for that living room . I saw a wall treatment done on another CZcams channel and thought it was unique.
When they were doing the intro I first thought it was wallpaper.. it wasn’t .. they used wall stencil . And painted the wall using the stencil It came out beautiful! And if it happens you do not like it.. easy enough , just paint over it.

I agree with @sooz1234. Move sofa to divide room then put 2 green velvet target barrel chairs where sofa was! If possible a sofa table behind it with lamp, tray etc. nice Job em!

Everything looks great but the only thing is the new chair cushions is to flat it will not work out for long-term the color is awesome can match up with colors you deciides to when doing you decor thanks for sharing this video.
What a brilliant idea in a small space to use a bench for the coffee table! It looks cozy in there, just waiting on a few last touches. Are you keeping the home for vacations or are you flipping it? If you are flipping, are you hoping to sale it furnished? I have been off the chart watching you learn and push your self refurbishing this house into a home.

Love the furnishings. You said this is a rental right? So you are furnishing it for the tenants?
On the rug I would push it completely under the sofa so it starts against the wall and the rest you can see under the coffee table. But because it is so light and you will have renters there at least most of the rug won't be exposed.

Not a fan of the sofa. It is ab awkward size. Looks like it is for kids. Doesn’t look comfortable either.
It’s actually standard size but it might look that way since it’s more slender
I would NEVER promote that sofa, a plain wooden chair would be better, can’t believe you would try to make this sofa a great thing, it totally looks like garbage. I’m sure for a playhouse it would be perfect. Step it up, you’re better than this.
