Hot damn they sound great live. As for Jim's attitude, well - many frontmen since have tried to imitate his swagger but as the commercials say, "accept no.imitations."

i have loved The Doors and have been crushing on Jim Morrison since i discovered them at 13. That was many moons ago. They have a sound and a soul unlike any other band.

Check out a book that Jim’s sister put together from her personal archives called “The Collected Works of Jim Morrison”. It’s 600 pages of his writings, etc.

Jim was brilliant intellectually. He had an interesting thirst for very old books and writers, some from genuinely eerie perspectives, poetry, etc. Cool guy. I remember the day he died very well. I got ripped off for a sheet of blotter acid. 😇 I got better.

You know. Jim called himself Jimbo when he got drunk, went crazy on stage. Ppl criticise him for that. I don’t. He wanted to be known. As an artist like Bowie maybe. He used the medium which was rock. And he lived it. He was passionate. He did it. Good for you Jim.

The Doors are amazing ... have you seen the movie by Oliver Stone, yet? This movie (Val Kimler as Jim) is amazing ... but not 100% true, though. But it gives you some background informations and another view about why, how, when, etc. So acutally the amazing story of the band and Jim! Watch - or react - to the trailer maybe!? o_O
