    Of all the new primaris models these are my favourite (look wise), would love to get a pack in the future

    I think I'm going to do an list with a bunch of Reivers so I don't need to worry about transport as much for my all Primaris list, When equipped with the bolt carbines and grav chutes they basically become tac marines with 2 wounds, 2 shots always even if you advance, those nifty grenades and "deepstrike"

    though their not scouts, they are ment to be very stealty, so I think two 5 man squads makes more sense than 1 10 man squad.

    Btw, I did the same Carbine and Knife pose for my Knife Squad Sergeant and turns out, in the Rules Errata for the SM Codex they added this to replace their old weapon rules:
    ‘• All Reivers in the unit may replace their bolt carbine
    with a combat knife.
    • The Reiver Sergeant may replace either his bolt
    carbine or heavy bolt pistol with a combat knife.
    So our Sergeants are legal with a Carbine and a Knife, and it's actually the replacing of either the Carbine or the Knife, but they all still get the Heavy Bolt Pistol (which is great), unless you make our Sergeants. Important to keep in mind with your Carbine Reivers that they have the Pistols with the AP -1.

    With the gapnel launchers the can come in on a building that is 9“ high and can do a 0“ charge

  • @KJ-pu8dw
    @KJ-pu8dw Před 5 lety +1

    Use to take out snipers and heavy weapons in towers ect..... The grapnel launcher makes charge possible and they powerful enough in close combat to deal with none close combat units like eldar rangers and dark reapers.

    Now these guys I'm having a real hard time not running straight to eBay for a pile of like thirty of those Bolt Carbines. I'm looking at Puppetswar Widowmakers for my Heresy Alpha Legion but those bolters are simply the slickest guns GW's ever come out with.

    Do you think that long term the new way they are making moulds for space marines (and from what I have heard down the grape vine all future models) of fixed leg and body poses (Legs A only going with body A ect ect) will mean quite a few "clone" models in armies...
    And how do you feel these new fixed poses effect future conversions?

  • @CloakingDonkey
    @CloakingDonkey Před 7 lety +1

    Are you sure that's how it works with the weapon options? Cause for the Intercessors it says the same about Auto Bolt Rifles and the box has them all with Auto Bolt Rifles... Also the entire point of the Primaris was that they equip all soldiers the same.

    Will you be reviewing the skull box ? 15 pounds for 340 plastic skulls, 25$ in america. Used to be 32 resin skulls for 7 pounds

    So I only have just gotten back into 40K and I love the Reiver models, but how are they on the tabletop? The models scream assault unit to me but the rules suggest little more than a pesky unit that has good deployment options but thats all it has going for it? Do they fare better than their rules would suggest?

    I used to not like the Reivers one bit, but after watching your review I love all the detail on the models and the rules don't seem half bad. Kind of a pricey unit but I think I'll pick some up soon.

    Nice poses, I really like the poses. Also, great commentary, that was one of the funniest videos you made!
    One question, given the actual rules do you have to have squads of 10 or can you have two squads of 5 to have an excuse to use more options like you did with your reavers? And what would be better?

    • @Adlore
      @Adlore Před 7 lety +1

      Evelio Mora I'm fairly certain you can have 5. If you want them to be as effective as possible, 2x5 is better as they can utilize more of their equipment. However this will take 2 slots, which can be good or bad

    • @luuk341
      @luuk341 Před 6 lety

      Evelio Mora You can build this set as 1 of 10 with 1 sergeant or as 2 of 5 each with their own sergeant

    Rule idea: time travel. You can take a unit from AoS into 40k, half way through the battle if you roll double sixes twice in a row (1 in 1,296)? ;)

    I dont like them. I saw the jumpack bits and the boltguns on yours and thought, wow so they dont have to have those sucky new boltpistols?, so that was a dissappointment to me as if i buy other reivers after that box i wont have those parts unless i buy them seperatly.
    thats my first issue.
    Now for the fun bits, the look like they should be women, the armour is feminine, i dont mind this, but to stick a guys head on that body makes me feel awkward and slightly uncomfortable as to why we cant have female space marines but these guys exist. i mean, this is grimdark, not politically correct galaxy.
    anyway, next up is the face, clearly a necron. clearly. if you dont think so, if you think its just skulls, if you think it adds to the aesthetic, i dont think so. its a necron jaw. "He" may as well be a necron in power armour.
    last of all, are these the new scouts? i mean it seems kinda cool. but scouts are scouts because they are stealthy, and again, what about assassins? will they dissappear too?
    this is troubling me alot. but oh well, theres my opinion. I have some of these now, and im gonna buy sororitas head and put them on the bodies, because this is armour for a female space marine. :D
