The whole song is a MASTERPIECE, but when MinGi came back after taking a break for his anxiety disorder and rapped about what it felt like at the time. 🥺
This song always has me chair dancin'. They look like they had a blast making this MV.

Now after the 101 session I always listen for Captain's laugh before his verses.
JongHo is not only a master of eye contact and an amazing performer...
But he is super strong and can rip fruit apart with his bear hands AND punch open watermelons...
There is a clip where JongHo sings a BEAUTIFUL love song while ripping apples in half...
AND another clip on a variety show where he literally puches through a watermelon to open it up. 😎
The Real is one of my favorite MV’s of theirs. It’s so fun and goofy. The song is fun!

I got told by a woodwind friend that the instrument we’re hearing is a Middle Eastern oud. This video is based on a cult classic movie called Volcano High. If you notice, Mingi has superpowers in here & it gets added to the Ateez storyline. They’re subtle with it, but he explodes a car in another video. Seonghwa’s calligraphy brush was stolen from BtoB’s Minhyuk after Kingdom finished.
I always wondered if his brush was a reference to that lol!
By the way Jongho can break an apple with his hands and a watermelon to he can sing while doing it as well but I love this one you should see the Kingdom version Mingi was still out on hiatus I am glad they could make this video with him in it

I absolutely adore the song and love the video (also incredibly fun song to see performed live). "Are you answering already, I'm not even at that part yet!" - that moment/chat interaction was so funny :D No clue who made the decision to include the bloopers, but they have my gratitude.

So a couple of Fun Facts for you
#1 When San, SeongHwa & YunHo say the part of "this is Style" WooYoung says "Shall we begin?" / Hong Joong is talking about being humble in his rap and when JongHo says his part - they are actually using the dialect for their hometowns.
Also this & "Enternal Sunshine" were the MV's that Mingi return from after his break - so they kind of made him the "central character" (in other words it was ment for you to be drawn to him"
The other "central character" is YeoSang and it is why (just my opinion) this MV is part of their lore 🤔🤷🏻♀️
And one more thing- when Mingi and WooYoung do the dance break in the MV - at the concerts they always change which members will be paired/ they have even had a "dance-off" with BBTripping 🤣🤣🤣
My last fact/opinion is this: one of the reasons that all of Ateez's songs are so good is because they turly love & enjoy to preform any of their songs - this MV is proof 🥰🤩👍🫶

This MV is based off a relatively obscure Korean movie called Volcano High, another reactor called Form of Therapy talks about it :) but basically Mingi has a book that gives him powers, he's a new kid at the school, all the different clubs are trying to get him to join their club and there's that one kid that wants everyone to get along peacefully (represented by Yeosang in this). I think it's Yunho and Jongho in the motorcycle club, Wooyoung and San in the baseball club, Seonghwa and Hongjoong in the calligraphy club.

The song starts with bagpipes as far as I can tell. A traditional Scottish instrument. Not too sure though.
Jongho's grip force is around 89.6 kg (198 lbs), while ordinary men are only able to have a grip force of 40~60 kgs (88 - 132 lbs). Jongho was also often seen in various shows breaking different fruits such as melons, pears, and even watermelons with his bare hands.
The clarinet sound is the taepyeongso is a double reed instrument. It has a conical wooden body with a metal mouthpiece and a cup-shaped metal bell, called the dongpallang.
Late to the party, but I’m pretty sure the bread thing is a nod to anime. They use this shot in anime quite often. “Because of this it became a staple trope in Shoujo anime/manga (and later others as well) as it is visual shorthand for setting up a character as being tardy. I discovered very recently that I can, in fact, tear an apple in half with my bare hands. XD I work at a prison, and as such, we aren't allowed any metal cutlery in our lunches, and I wanted to eat an apple without having to take off my lipstick, so I was like, "hmmm...can I do that?" and I did. Just as my boss was walking into our kitchenette. When I tell you she was appalled.....hahahahahaha

I thought your reaction to the video was really funny. As for the bread in his mouth scene, they probably first recorded Yeosang with the bread in his mouth and dropping it on the floor and then edited the video in reverse, making it look like the bread came from the floor to his mouth.😉😁
