I’m about to graduate high school in June and this song really hits hard. I know that this is the last time I’ll see all my friends at once, the last time I can make mistakes without big consequences, and the last time I’m free of all the grown up stress. When this came out I was on the edge of having a mental breakdown. I sat in the kitchen and wanted my life to be over. I was in high school. I had no money, no food to eat and every one I loved had turned against me. I sat there with a bottle of pills contemplating whether or not I should do it, then this started playing on the radio. I started crying and I felt happy after he said I felt some pain I’ve seen some things but I’m here now. I dropped out of school and joined the army and things are a little better now. I no longer worry about not having money for rent or food to eat. I am happy at the moment and I just want to let you know that you don’t have to kill yourselves to end your life. I'm 27. Lord knows I would give anything to go back to my teen years at least. Still have a lot of beloved memories. Sad that I can't relive the past, but blessed that I'm gonna be able to make new memories, tell new stories, and have new experiences. This song really put me at peace with that.

I'm a senior who's graduating in a few weeks and this song hits hard because it reminds me of all the memories I made, friends I've made and lost along the way and just having fun with my friends in general these past 4 years and I am looking towards the future since I've decided to study music production for college and I hope I can get a job in the music industry since music is my passion. For anyone in high school, you should make the most outta these 4 years because you'll miss em once you graduate.
When you get older you realise how just true this song is and how reality hits you when you listen to it! I'm 34 now and remember the good old gaming days with the boys, all those fun World of Warcraft days, the good old Sunday football days, and at one point you start to realise that you are growing apart and that everyone is starting to do their own thing until some of your friends are now living in a completely different country and you barely have any contact with them. Recently turned 17. People would argue that it’s too young to feel this way, but that’s not how it feels. Being a high school senior who’s heading into college next year, i feel my childhood slipping away so fast. It makes me wish I had cherished my innocence longer, I wish I had done more, and I wish I had known making friends wouldn’t always be as easy as it once was. I got about 5 more months of high school, so I’m gonna try my best to spend as much time doing things without regret.
Time is a currency that can’t be earned, but it’s spent every second. It’s such a shitty feeling to think you’ve spent it all on the wrong things/people.

I have to talk to him about that. And since I'm always new everywhere, the friends I have at my school aren't even really close to me. i used to wish to fast forward most of my high school days because of identity crisis and family problems. i'm 23 now, not too old and will hopefully graduate in college next year but it would be lovely to go back to those days when laughing and hanging out with the right people cure everything. i specifically regret not starting something beyond academics like a sport or go into music. i was too good of a daughter and i should've break more rules that time so it would've been easier to deal with things now.

I graduated a few weeks ago and after graduation there was a lock in at this place to give the seniors one last chance to make memories together and to keep people from going out and getting drunk. I went and there were not a lot of people there. I was worried that I wouldn’t have anyone that I knew well to hang out with and contemplated just going home. As I was sitting there in the parking lot I had this random radio station on and this song started playing. It was so perfect and fitting that I just sat there and listened to it. I took it as my sign to go and I ended up knowing everyone there and having a blast. I’ll never forget that moment or that night.
