It took me a week to sort my comics and determine what my top 10 books were but here they are (Wish I had the studio space to be more organized and faster to respond lol).
My Top 10 1990s Comics. - Jak na to + styl
Nice surprise on creatures! 😊
Definitely, could not believe I had it already.
Well done! I love seeing your picks! 👍🏻 😊
Thank you, it took a week to sort out what I wanted to show haha but it was fun.
good top 10 picks, brother.
Thank you!
A lot of great books.
Thanks for the video, as always. Keep up the good work! 👍
You are very welcome.
Great video! I hadn't seen a couple of those!
Thanks! Always fun to learn about new books.
LOL i just found this. CZcams isn't notifying me correctly. Thanks for taking part.
12 Years later lol, it was fun. And yeah youtube has been really bad with notifications lately. Frustrating even.
@@pop-comics Your video was really funny. Your collection is awesome.
Thank you, I was going with a little humor since it was 1990s Plastic Age comics lol
Good choices man,few unusual books and some classics
Thank you, it was a lot of fun trying to figure out what I would consider my top 10
Nice!. You have a lot of great books, Sean!.. I'm being surprised evey video!.. One of the books I was surprised about from one of the previous videos was, Batman: The Killing Joke. I didn't think that'd be your glass of Dr Pepper! 👍
Killing Joke is one of all time greatest Batman Stories. Great book, I think I have 5-7 of them different printings. I pick them up anytime I see them for a great price.
I have to confess that I do not have one of those books and the early 90s was the last time I bought new books from my LCS.
That does not surprise me haha I sold my collection in 1993-94 so most of these I picked up over the last 12 years or so mostly from collection buying and dollar bins.
Your top 10 picks really yell 90s. Great picks. The alt 2099 cover was really nice. Nice #1, Terry was a good Batman. :D
YES! I wanted books that were really 1990s classics that represented the era well.
Great video as always 👍
Thank you.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I love finding pre-Madman Allred in $1 boxes. So many shops are clueless about Creatures of the Id, Grafik Musik and Graphique Muzique.
Oh yeah, stuff like that flys under the radar, so its always amazing when you find it in the dollar bin.
I call it the foil age...
Oh I kinda like Foil age, I think there was a lot more foil then plastic in that age.
Great video Brother! Your comic book collection has to be 100,000+ books!?
Yes definitely 100K plus
#9 is a rock solid pick. I’ve got it and love that cover.
Conan the Barbarian #241 newsstand (McFarlane cover) has nice value too.
I do love that Punisher Bullseye cover! Yeah I still need that Conan book, very cool book.
@@pop-comics you’ve got multiple copies of the big guns though 😉
@@InvalidspinI do and always hunting for more in dollar bins haha
WOW I have never seen any JTHM in dollar bins..jelly!
Ive found a few over the years and or bought them in collections where I probably paid $1 a book overall etc.
We see what You did there at the beginning of the video lol .,... "Showing" those comics off, but not 'showing' those comics as your top 10. .. lol, awesome stuff
Haha thought it would be funny lol
Great books,I have a lot of them but I noticed you didn't mention Gambit#1 gold variant cause that's about a $300 book in high grade.
I need one of those still. If I had it I would show it.
@@pop-comics i got Gambit #1 gold CGC 9.2
@@jarredsmith9187 Very nice!
@@pop-comics i think the best books of the 99's are New Mutants #98,Batman Adventures#12,AMS#361, X-Men#266, Gambit#1 Gold,Bone#1, Spiderman#2 Chrome Edition, Amazing Spiderman #300 Chrome Edition,Malibu Suns#13,Goon#1.
Very nice list I still need 4 of those.
My most cherished comics from the 90s? It's a toss up between HATE #14 by PETER BAGGE ( THE FIRST original issue I ever bought; earlier issues are either shelf worn originals or reprints) and my shelf worn original of STRANGERS IN PARADISE #1 by TERRY MOORE, which I casually purchased before going to see a movie! I never imagined both series would become popular cult favorites!
As for the 90s and comics, some call it the Dark Age; Plastic Age is fine, but I think I prefer "The Grim And Gritty Age" named after DC's unofficial policy of the time when almost EVERY Batman comic tried to emulate "Dark Knight" while other mainstream super hero comics were taken too "Watchmen-like" seriously! When Legion Of Super Heroes became "Dark And Gritty" I stopped buying DCs for several years!
Strangers In Paradise #1 has shot up so high in price and I am missing it. I bought a complete collection from a friend years ago, every single issue signed. She was moving and kinda sad to sell the collection, so I told her to keep #1 it represented the collection as a whole and would be the hardest to replace. I sorta regret not buying it then (Was maybe a $50 book) but it was the right thing to do. I still have a complete run all signed just missing that one. Hates a great run too, I don't know if my run is complete but I have picked up a ton over the years from dollar bins.
@@pop-comics I've told this story so often it might even be true (apologies and love for Stan Lee) I saw a copy of DAREDEVIL #168 (1st Elektra) for only 40 BUCKS! But I was going through this "want v. need" budget campaign so instead of withdrawing money from the bank and buying it, I decided to wait until payday [INSERT 70s sitcom audience "Uh,Oh" here]....
Yeah I have missed out so many times with that mentality too. But sometimes you just can afford it when you see it.
Not quite my top ten!
What are your top ten I am curious?
It was actually a Whiplash reference, but I don't have a for sure top ten I just got back into comics in my 30's. I have some really cool Shadows of the Empire comics that I would put up there though.@@pop-comics
Oh Darkhorse Star Wars books are really dope. Good picks.
no youngblood comics or star wars ?
Is there a youngblook book with any value more then 2-3? Maybe a newstand makes a few dollars more. But definitely not top 10 material. As for Star Wars, I think there are a few $50-$100 books from the 1990s but nothing that jumps out as super valuable.
Sorry why show books you dont have on your top 10 ? Waste 🗑 of time ⏲️ in my opinion why !!! Just show your top 10 and why thats simple.
Sorry I wasted your time, you should check out the other top 10 videos people have done so they don't waste your time on my videos. I feel really bad that your time has been wasted. We don't have a lot of time in life so watching too much content in my video really bad for wasting time. I think some folks have done some short videos you can watch so you can see videos quickly so your time does not get wasted.
@@pop-comics it's fine buddy you do you. Have a beautiful day.
