It's called imposed austerity. Kenya had to go the International Monetary Fund for the loan needed to avoid defaulting on its debts. Not sure why this guy is talking like it's all happening in a vacuum. Austerity sucks, managing your debt to GDP better is important.

When Anthony talked of Bangladesh 🇧🇩, I knew he had facts. In graduate school, I had a roommate from Bangladesh and they have a tax treaty with the US. Their textile industry is flourishing and it’s a pillar industry there. Listen to Anthony Mwangi. The government should be in the business of creating a good environment for businesses to thrive, then it can be rewarded with taxes.

Basic economics: production theory: you tax a product, that tax increases cost of production and that cost is shifted to the consumer by the companies producing it. So that edible oil tax is a cost, itaenda kwa the regular people who consume it.

Winston Chirchill once said that "for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle.", what Ruto does not understand is that A low tax to GDP ratio reflects a small tax base, & that small tax base (industries & manufacturing) is what they want to increase tax on inevitably leading to their closures and more importation as it bcms cheaper... instead, our development budget shld be used to target 2-3 industries per medium term in leather/oil etc.

Democracy is completely bogus, a few people deciding the fate of the many. Kenya can't be a manufacturing hub with a useless curriculum and useless leaders who are thugs. The Kikuyu chose the Nandi again out of tribal hate for Luos, manufacturing will never happen to the level of South Korea.

The president is a kalenjin, why can't you ask them why they voted him. The sooner you start owning up to your laziness and hate, the quicker you will get yourself out of poverty.

If you’re an employee it is temporarily, that’s is if you’re really good, because they will study what you do and automate it. And eliminate that human position Bad faith is built in.
