And saying we did this last season so we are bound to do so again has not been true of all of the other big six sides for years now barring City, only they've had seasons of consistency like that.

I’m not an Arsenal fan, but yeh they could, they finished 5th last year and 2nd this year, I’m sure they’ll learn from this year in how to handle those last 8 games of a premiership campaign. Who a few years back would of backed Leicester winning title ? Also who would of predicted Liverpool after coming close to a quad having a really poor season, why we all love the premiership and why it’s the best league in the world is because it doesn’t always go how you think it’s gonna go

Why is it delusion?
Arsenal have been by a mile the second best team in the PL this season. There is a plan and process in place which is way more advanced than United, Chelsea or even Liverpool.
The young Arsenal players are a year wiser and more experienced. If and it’s a big if, we add Rice, Caicedo, Diaby, and Guehi does anyone seriously believe we aren’t going to be better than we were this season.
Just watch Arteta’s presser, he said as much, there is a lot of room for development and adding elite it near elite players.
I’m not saying we are going to win it but if the team continues to improve at the rate they are they will challenge again.

The facts are facts, Arsenal have improved significantly from last year. If you can’t see that you either don’t want to see it or you don’t don’t know a great deal about football.
Nearly all of Arsenal current crop of young players are 3 or 4 years off their peak for their player positions. The difference as anyone with a footballing brain can see is squad depth and quality depth.
If Arsenal get the players they are after the squad depth will be there and we won’t see the drop off we did when we have injuries. 16 elite of near elite players required to win the PL.
@@innihbassey6369 The end of the season has been very disappointing, like they stopped caring tbh. But at the same time, I think once they lick their wounds, there are so many lessons and experience gained this season. I actually think the opposite. I think they will repeat what they did last year and come out firing, but the summer window is so key in sustaining it. I could be wrong, but that is what I suspect anyway... it was painful end and pain is a great teacher (As it was missing out on 4th last season).
@@dragonballfanscantread2383 which never existed 20+ years ago... late Wenger changed the culture and stopped recruiting certain profiles with the right mentality. Also, by and large and we have been saying this for years, we've had decent/good or even very good, at times, first 11's, but the squad gets very thin after that. That's something that needs to change as well.
I think Arteta will take a lot of lessons from this season, but the summer window so key, in player profile and adding that depth.

The high level of football Arsenal played at the beginning of the season caught up with the players. Without proper rotation that level is difficult to maintain. City weren't that good at the beginning of the season but still have the quality individually that Arsenal don't have to pull results out of the bag. If not for the worldcup Arsenal would have dropped off long before we did and City would have been infront by December. Unless Arteta and Edu are ruthless in the transfer market and get worldclass quality into the team we ain't winning or challenging for nothing.

Arsenal pappared over the cracks this season by not playing in most cup competitions to effect their league aspirations. UCL will be their rude awakening because the club only beats bad teams or teams not performing well.
I'm not as arrogant/stupid as Egal, but at the same time in response to your comment: so a team can't develop/improve, gain valuable experience (from this season), add players that potentially mean being able to have a decent CL run and compete in the league as well? Its not impossible by any stretch, but the summer window is so key. Arteta knows this as he said in a recent press con: "to go to the next level, it is a crucial summer for us. In signings, but also in our preparation. We have to absolutely nail it".
So for me it depends on the summer window.
