So you’re using a VESC now unlike the G4 - why the switch? Does this still have differential function or does 2WD/shorter wheelbase make this no longer necessary (or different motor control setup make it no longer possible? I imagine the sensors for lean on the G4 add size, weight and complexity even if the function is useful...?)? And can you get the turn signals and bigger lights on the G4 now? :)
No we aren't using VESC the difference is that the motor contoller now are install inside the chassis box. This model doesn't have e-diff just to keep the cost and complexity low to be more an "entry level" board. You can definitely install the bigger lights on the G4 (we have customers that already did it) but it cannot be controlled by the remote you will need to add a switch to the board.

Not at the moment unfortunately. There will be a range of accessories in the future though for the S2!!
What type of battery? Life expectancy of battery?
We have 2 option battery pack. Both packs use Sanyo 20700B the cycle life expectancy is the same as all the other 18650 brands, not lower than 80% of the original capacity after 500 cycles
Their life expectancy is much shorter in captivity 😭 batteries should be in the wild!

Of course, you can put bindings for goofy or regular riders

Incredible! I can't wait to buy one when I'm ready! On the order sheet though shouldn't there be a place for lights, special trucks/shocks I read about somewhere?, and an optional brief-case-orientation carrying handle? www.bajaboard.com.au/order-board-s2; Update: ah...I found the next order pages for lights and different trucks, but adding option for carrying handle to the order page would be nice.

Hill climbing hands down the 4WD will destroy the 2WD, especially for long hills. The 2WD could still make it to the top but the motor will overheat a lot quicker.

Baja, why would I buy this over a Lacroix, Kaly NYC, Evolve, etc? Your boards are way too big and heavy to be carrying around
The S2 is the same weight as a LaCroix & lighter than a Kaly equivalent.
Evolve is trash LaCroix is very good just since the flexy deck is the suspension it's highly unstable at hight speeds, kaly NYC is the same as LaCroix on the inside but the deck feel just doesn't feel right, I tried it, it feels kinda unnatural
@@superbarmenia9625 Nazaré is much more stable @ high speeds compared to the Proto. Deck has a lot less flex. 👍

It's like an RC car that you ride. It costs as much as a car you drive. They are from Australia, so shipping will be several hundred dollars to the states. Then, there is the ridiculously priced "upgrade" BS because they can't give you their best at a reasonable price. Small scale production is expensive and if you ever need a part, you are $crewed. I want a Chinese knockoff for $1,000.
