I just finished watching the latest episode of Swami Mukundananda’s enlightening series, and I’m truly moved. The way he delves into the afflictions of the mind is so relatable and profound! It’s incredible how these mental struggles can keep us from becoming our best selves.
Swami’s insights on conquering these afflictions to cultivate God-like virtues resonated deeply with me. His stories from the scriptures are not only inspiring but also serve as a reminder that spiritual progress is a path worth walking, no matter how challenging it may seem. The emphasis on love and kindness truly touched my heart.
Thank you, Swami Mukundananda, for sharing your wisdom so lovingly with us! I am excited to reflect on this episode and work towards awakening my true self. I can’t wait for the next episode; I feel like each one is a step closer to enlightenment. Sending love and positive energy to everyone on this beautiful journey! Radhey Radhey🙏 🙏

Both the tales discussed by Swami ji were impactful, Maa Kali one tells us how the desires being like Raktbeej keep on multiplying upon their fulfillment, and the Saint and King one tells us about the nature of the human heart when it comes to desires and its fulfillment - as and when desires get fulfilled our bodily heart seeks for more and more. The desires arise from attachment and attachment from repeated contemplation of happiness in a thing, only when we start practicing contemplation of happiness in god will we be set on the auspicious path - the one where we seek knowledge, engage in seva and bhakti and in loving devotion to our supreme beloved!
Thank you Swami Ji for this spiritual gem!

Desires are formed by the repeated contemplation that happiness lies in them...but that's a never ending loop which will lead to either greed upon fulfilment or anger in case of unfulfilled desires.. so the best way is to make God our ultimate desire..As He is pure ..eventually we will also become pure from the inside and experience true Bliss which our soul has been seeking for.. Thank you Swamiji for constantly reminding us and guiding us along

Swamiji, we are all blessed to have a saint like you who is teaching these priceless wisdom from our ancient vedic scriptures in an understandable way and implement in our life to progress in this spirtual journey.
In this video, learned so much on how our attachment leads to desire and then desire leads to anger and greed. I love the example of mother Durga's form Kaali killing demon Rhaktabheej, who multiplied for every blood drop of his fallen on ground which is similar to our desires.
My takeaway is I will remember the verse from bhagavatam which states repeated contemplation of happiness in material things resulted in attachment to world similarly repeatedly contemplate happiness in God and your mind get attached there. ❤❤❤❤

And inner diseases like anger misery pride etc.make men in distress.Swamiji says these are inner enemies born in obstructions of desire. Cause of desire is clinging of our mind is caused desire . Main thing is attachment. That mind of contemplation of happiness our mind get clinging. To avoid desire is only the solution is detachment. Pranams to Swamiji

Great stories said by swami ji. We can work towards goals but cannot be attached to the extent that it disturbs our nature and mind when it is not fulfilled as we expected it to. When we say this is how things should happen, we are bound to see it not happen equally. This js not our world to define our own rules. We are the mercy of god and we need to surrender to him. When there is obstruction to the desires, anger is created. Even if the material desires are fulfilled, one can not get actual peace. Being a fragmental part of the ocean of divine bliss i.e. God, the soul can be satiated by finding the divine bliss of God. So we should try to contemplate that there is happiness in God, so that we can be able to get rid of the material desires. Very nice description given by Swamiji by giving the example of demon Raktavirya.

The chain of disaster is worked by us: by contemplating happiness is there we develop attachment. With attachment desire arises and when desire is fulfilled greed comes and if desire is obstructed anger arises. To break this chain we should contemplate that Happiness is there in the divine realm. Super comparison of desires with Rakthbeej. Desires never get satiated. We need to find it's root cause? Reason for any attachment is contemplation. Contemplate God, when we contemplate on all pure God, our desires will satiate. And we can eliminate desires. The person who has no desires, is God like. Powerful video, now I'm contemplating where I'm standing? What are my faults?

Human wants are unlimited. When one want is satisfied another want immediately comes. So to overcome this we have to completely surrender to our HariGuru . Then gradually it will diminish.🙏🙏

That Maa Kali could consume the blood of the demon and defeat him is startling. Even more startling is how Lord Shiv found a way to calm Her Fury.

Controlling desires and lower virtues requires self-effort and discipline. This is not easy, it demands immense power, which is bestowed by the grace of God. When we have complete faith and truly surrender to our Guru, with his divine knowledge to us, we can control our lower desires and elevate ourselves to higher virtues.
