Hey y’all! If this is feeling like Deja Vu to you and you’re wondering, “Didn’t I just watch this a few days ago?” Yes you did. I re-uploaded this cover as there was a small detail I wanted to fix after noticing it 🙂
Also, if you’re wondering why some uploads recently are new versions of old covers already done on this channel (like this one), it’s because I want to make new versions with the improved equipment I have now, and want to be able to upload some of these new versions on my Spotify, Apple Music, etc.
That being said, I’m also looking into some equipment that will hopefully help me specifically improve the Green Day covers on this channel, as I’ve been chasing that guitar TONE for a long time! 🤘Therefore, a number of Green Day covers previously done on this channel will be revisited again at some point. And of course lots of previously uncovered songs too.

I was 8 when this song was released and I remember hearing it on the radio and it instantly became my favorite song. It was probably my first ever “favorite song” and even to this day I absolutely love it. Great job as always on covering a Green Day classic

Hey, I noticed you went with playing a Squire on this. With all the guitars at your disposal, why did you choose the Squire specifically?

I usually record the audio with my Epiphone Les Paul and just use different guitars for the video. But there’s nothing wrong with the Squier. I find cheaper guitars actually don’t sound that different from expensive guitars. If they’re setup correctly, they are good.

I'm wondering does the song start with Gb or G, cause if I'm listening to the original track it starts with Gb but everytime I'm watching people including Green Day playing this song it starts with G. May anyone help me to find out??

This is because the guitars are tuned half step down so we’re playing the Gb on the 3rd fret instead of the 2nd fret

yeah man was gonna say tune to Eb standard (EbAbDbGbBbEb/D#G#C#F#A#D#) this'll unlock your ability to play: Dookie & Insomniac and songs from their first album. For the 1000 hours EP, it's quarter step down (so halfway between the two tunings).
