Welcome! Good to see you here.
wow amazing thank you!

Thanks

I'm 57, bought my violin 12 years ago but didn't get near it. Now I'm getting the chance to and so happy to find such great content and so many other beginners. NEVER TOO OLD!!!
how'z it going, Annie ? I can sympathize with your shared comment here. I've been ready to start for some time! Let's!!
@@FAM_40d40n I hope your violin journey is going well. I just started mine today, and that feeling of bowing your first open strings is just great. Good luck!
Yes just after I bought my violin My dad became ill and moved in with me. No matter how slow the going is just keep at it right?
Kaden, ... bless you! I've kept your response in my email notifications ~ to remind me to stay-the-course. Right now, needing consistency ...
@@FAM_40d40n as long as you pick it up everyday and tune it that's enough. And then you can wipe the strings and give it a kiss
I'm so excited to be learning to play the violin at 64 years old!! I'm realizing lately that the stories we tell ourselves determine our destiny, and it's never too late to rewrite our false narratives. I've always loved the violin, and I appreciate your teaching style - you explain well, you're very methodical and calm.Thank you so much.
Good luck with your playing! Enjoy!😊👍🎻
I am i same boat at 58 years attended first session of weekly violin class last week in Mumbai starting with how to holding bow. Very lucid video presentation for beginners like me.Thank you teacher.
Turning 50 next year!! Start my practise❤️🙏🏿😅
I beat you! I'm 72. I had two old violins that my Dad owned and played. I took one in to be refurbished and re-strung. It had not been out of its case for about 50 years! I don't think I'll be playing in an orchestra, but I'd be happy learning simple tunes. One thing the man in the violin shop told me was to NOT touch the horsehairs on the bow -- it might pick up oil from your fingers.
After having cancer 4 times in 2 years, and twice being given 6 months to live, I retired so I could enjoy what time I had left (that was 2018-2020). I am now in remission, and feeling reasonably well so decided to take up a new hobby. I have been playing piano since the 1960’s, so I already have extensive musical knowledge, but always fancied violin. Before this week I had never even touched one! It took me 2 days to be able to hold it correctly. (I have small and slopey shoulders so I now have a shoulder rest. As I am on benefits there is no way I can afford lessons, so thank you so much for doing these! You are doing it at a sensible speed too, but not in a patronising way. I am so looking forward to being able to play a few tunes. Thank you
Hi Lesley, what an inspiring story. Best of luck with your playing and more importantly with your health!
Thank you, I am 23 years old and I have not one musical bone in my body but the violin kept on popping up in my head, I started doing bunch of research on it caz I wanted to know more of this instrument that wouldn’t leave my mind… one day I dreamt about me playing the violin at church for the Lord and that was confirmation. I bought my first violin last week Friday and I’m so excited. Thank you for your videos, I’ll keep you updated on my progress. God bless you
Hola saludos desde argentina como te está yendo tu progreso con el violín?
I'm 27 and bought my violin yesterday. Thank you for releasing this course and I look forward to following along!
Wow that's cool I'm 28 and about to get one in a week or two. So happy to see that am not alone in starting late with violin
26 & mine just got here!
You guys are amazing!! Thanks for motivating me as well
Hi everyone, I am kellwin from Malaysia, I just bought my first violin at 34 year old
I will start to learn from today
My wife and I, both in our early 70's and competent on various other musical instruments, decided to take up the violin this week. We found another CZcams site which after watching it for about 20 minutes very nearly made us give up! Then we found this site - what a difference! We now feel much more confident that buying a violin was a good move and look forward to progressing with your lessons. Thank you.
Hi Mike, thank you for you kind words. Buying the violin was an excellent idea. Good luck with your studies.
I guess Im randomly asking but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account?
I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me
@@vanmartin2013 lol this happens almost every week to me. just say forgot password and then reset ur password and save it to google
I'm also in my 70's and prior to Covid, had private online lessons, but then stopped. I want to take it up again. . ..so hope these videos will help me.
Thank you for such a well done video. I haven’t seen a violin lesson yet on CZcams that mirrored in person training until I seen your videos. Thank you!
You're the loveliest teacher! What a great lesson. I'm going to continue from here.
I'm 41 and just starting to learn violin..Tnx for this video..looking forward to learn more on ur next videos...

Thank you so much, I’ve been trying to find the right method in the vast youtube universe and I find your teachings best for me. Thanks again!

@@micahumagtam2110 doesn't it kill you when they don't ever respond?
I took lessons for 8 years as an adult then life got in the way 13 years ago. I’m picking it back up now and I think starting from scratch is best. Thank you for putting these online! I live in a small mountain community and we no longer have a violin teacher.
Hi JM Williams, thanks for your message. Glad to help, and I hope you enjoy your violin journey. Good luck! 🤞
Very clear instructions. I had a pleasant feeling throughout the lesson. Thanks
A month before Christmas I bought a violin. I love strings! I played piano as a kid, I may go back into that. I'm glad to have come across this channel.
your teaching of violin is so better.
Yay. Use to play when I was much younger and just treated myself to a violin. These lessons are incredible and I’m just waiting on my Suzuki book. Thank you 🙏🏾
Hi Tyra, good to hear from you. Best wishes for your re-discovery of the violin 🎻
I am 43 years old and suddenly playing the violin is an skill set I want to have to enjoy it. First time trying and I feel this method and your teaching is super clear to me. I am learning and supper happy. Thank you. Much appreciated. By the way, I am left handed, so I am using a left handed violin and it is fantastic.
Thank you for your calm & professional teaching presentation. As a new beginner, I searched the You Tube, and selected you to follow. I hope thru your teaching and my desire & effort, I will be able to play my violin adequately. I am 68 now and goal is along with learning guitar on my own, to rock on by 70. Thanks again!!
Hi Mickey, thanks for your comment. I am sure you will, just keep going slowly. Any questions please ask. Good luck 🤞🎻

Thank you so much.
Hello I found your channel today and decided I'm going to go through the 30 day course. I am in the process of taking a violin I've had for over 20 years into a fellow to put new strings on it and hair on the bow. I don't know how to play it but I've wanted for as long as I've had it. It's a German violin and has a French bow which I'm told is one I shouldn't let kids play with. lol I've rented a violin a couple of times over the last 10 years but I'm not a note reader and have no desire to learn. I learned the guitar when I was young most by ear but started with a few basic cords. My dad used to play guitar at home all the time and I've always been wanting to play music especially the violin and piano. So wish me luck I just subscribed and hope we can all walk away proud to be able to play this instrument with a smile.😉
Hi Hiker X, thanks for your comment. You will, just keep going. Any questions please ask and if you can, come and join us for the live class this Thursday at 10am. Good luck!
It's really helpful started learning violin from age 20 😊
I'm so shocked to see a few others with my story. I played for 2 years in Highschool and finally have the time to try to get back into it. My mother also housed the instrument and I finally got it back and fixed up. I'm 58. I'm so happy to find you. I think it will come back but it was discouraging not to remember even how to put the chin rest on. Thank you!!!
Take your time, there's no rush! Glad you're here 👏🎻👏🎻
Great tips!
I'm getting my first violin soon. Can't wait to start playing it.😉
Thank you for your great videos, there really helpful!
You're very welcome!
Thanks so much for that useful video i won't forget it Baucus i thought i never can be able to learn play violin and make that dream become true
greetings!, trying to learn the violin by myself with youtube videos from argentina, thanks for the virtual classes!
Hi, welcome! Hope you enjoy and good luck on your journey. Any questions do please ask!
Thank you so much. You deserve more than this.
Thank you too!
Thank you for this video. I am heading into my 50 years and lately developed a deep longing to learn the violin and move away from the guitar. I am left handed, so I am literally just going to hold a right handed violin upside down and place it on my right shoulder. 40 years ago when I learnt the guitar, I just turned it upside down and started playin it straight away, so I thought, I will do the same with a violin and just see how I go. I will keep you posted.
Very good video. I have just started Suzuki Book 1. I have been playing 🎻 5 months.
Kelly L Davis Hi Kelly, glad that you are enjoying this video. Do let me know you are getting on! Wishing you happy practising!

Will keep following you. I am 63...never too late to learn! Makes me excited to learn a new instrument (I grew up playing the clarinet). Thank you!

Greetings from Ukraine!
Have just saw your video, everythig is so amazing!
I'm a piano tech and music composer, song writer and multy-instrument player, love music and singing.
I's my childhood dream to play violin, so I've started to learn about 19 months ago and arter while from my start i've heaard about Suzuki method, mut I had never try that.
Thank you so much for such a great explanation. It's a brilliant videos to me and I'll practice in just a way you showed here.
My first 3/4 violin was gived to me since I've started to learn. After a year or something I got another 3/4 violin with better sound. But it became broken at violin neck and the violin itself doesn't feets all the measurements, so it's immpossible to use it. :(
It's war in Ukraine and me with my family had to move to other town for about 9 months ago. I'm searching daily for any order of composing and producing music and I understand that I have no budget to just buy a nice sounding violin. I'm not sure the one I have can be fixed or repaired. But I would love to practice a lot and then (when I will learn to play vibratto) to use the violin in my music compositions.
If you or anyone you know have any violin (3/4 or 4/4) and doesn't need it, can that be possible to ship it to Ukraine? I would love to buy a good one, but we are struggeling to survive here and the violin music helping me to take my attention of the war and the news and to find some peace to my soul.
Please let me know if you are interrested.
There's some music on my channel, please welcome to watch.
Thank you so much for taking your time to read my comment.
Kind regards...
You are an amazing teacher! Thank you so much for these wonderful videos! It is a blessing beyond measure! I’ve always loved the violin but never played it before but would dream of pouring my heart cry out through the strings of this wonderful instrument!
You give me such confidence and I’ve only started on your first lesson for beginners! I am 32 and am finally fulfilling my dream! And it’s even more possible because of your wonderful teachings!
Thank you so very much!
