I have never seen a pedal reviewer that plays as well as , or demos the pedals properly as you do. thank you for not talking.
And thank you for cranking the knobs all the way up, no one does this in demos. I've just ordered this from eBay for £32 for messing around with my synths, judging by a lot of the comments I may have made a mistake, we'll see.

Best music I have ever heard in a Pedal review.
I have this pedal and here it sounds magical. Directly from the amp, sounds like a toy or a cheap pedal, however, this guy knows how to dial it, grats for the great playing and tweaking.
For myself, I found a space-ish tone putting this pedal before a dual delay.

Just bought this - I've got 3 reverbs after all my pedals, but i chuck the shimverb before all my dirt to give it some space and to thicken it up - REALLY gnarly when used just right

The Room 'verb is OK, the Spring is OK, pay more and you'll get better ones of course.
The Shimmer is where it's at. Rather than the usual octave shift it's a fifth up from the dry signal. High settings are eerie and sepulchral. Hero With a Wing, Everything Merges With the Night, Set the Controls...
You might not use it a lot but it's an interesting addition to the board.

There are some reviewers that I believe should be the standard in their respective industries. For example: RocketJumpNinja reviews gaming mice and peripherals to such a degree that he even includes the sounds of the mouse clicks and the angles of the slopes, as well as his hand measurements to ensure that his audience gets the most in-depth, dissected review of the product.
What you do, my friend, should be THE industry standard for how guitar pedals should be reviewed and demoed. Although you don't necessarily give ratings or the gripes for the pedal, what you do offer is first an A/B demo of the "vanilla" sounds offered by the pedal, then a demo of it in context with other instruments and other pedals. This allows other musicians and I to get how this would fit in with our current gear.
But what makes you my industry standard is because of two things: the way you present your opinions through a slow text crawl at the bottom, and an extensive noodling session at the end. The slow text offers us the information for the guitar pedal (as well as your opinion on it) but does so in a way that makes is SUPPLEMENTARY rather than COMPULSORY. The bane in almost any other pedal review is that you almost always have to skip a lengthy info dump made by the reviewer to get to the "good stuff" which is them actually playing it. In your reviews, they happen at the same time so the viewer has control on whether or not they want to see the nitty gritty details of it. Finally, the lengthy noodling session allows the viewers to get inspired by what this pedal is capable of. It also allows me, personally, to see the full range of this pedal, which i desperately need in a review because I usually use these pedals for synths instead of guitars.
There is no other guitar pedal reviewer like you on the planet right now, and it's such a shame to see your last upload being a year ago. I wish you would come back and show the guitar pedal reviewing community how it's done!
